I don’t know whether I’m offended or impressed by the fact that she came here with this photo. She could have gone to the cops, and with her last name, I’d no doubt be in the back of a squad car right now. But little does Mira know, she’s not the only one with an interesting photo. The only difference is mine actually proves something sinister about her fiancé, Tyler.
“And what would that reason be?” she asks.
Christ, I really want to tell her. But I also don’t want to be the one to shatter the fantasy of her perfect life. I can’t see her actually being into Tyler, but what if she is? What if she’s actually in love with him and has just made a couple of mistakes with me? If I prove he’s been cheating on her, she might end up lashing out in anger and blaming me for his actions.
That could mean never seeing her again…
I step closer, enough to make her eyes shift up to keep them locked on me. “Why did you come here, Mira?” Her lips part for a moment then close again. “You could have had Daddy’s security show up or called the cops on me. But you didn’t. You came. Why?”
I reach out and lift her sunglasses from her face, revealing her gorgeous eyes. She doesn’t even flinch or pull away. She just lets me do it. She’s okay with my familiarity. More than okay.
“I just wanted to ask you about this—” She holds out the photo again, but I cut her off, shaking my head.
“No. You came to see if what we had was real,” I reply, my voice low and rough. “If what you felt was more than just a moment in time. If it was something solid you can hold on to.”
Mira shakes her head. “It didn’t mean anything…”
“Liar,” I snap. I move in, and her hand comes up, pressing against my chest like she’s about to push me back. But her fingers curl into the grease-stained fabric of my shirt instead, and I see that she’s trembling.
“Just tell me…why were you there?” she asks. “What did you want?”
There are two truths I could reveal to her now: the truth of the photo—of Tyler’s infidelity—or the truth of my crushing desire for her.
I lean closer, brushing my lips against her ear. “I was there for you.” Her body quivers. “To take you from Tyler, because you belong to me.”
Mira pulls back, her eyes wide and flashing. “T-Tyler? How do you know about him?”
“He doesn’t deserve you,” I tell her. “And I think you know that.”
I want to tell her so badly. But it could end in disaster. I’m walking a thin tightrope now over a pit of flames, and we’re both on the brink of plummeting in if I make one wrong move.
I run my eyes up Mira’s body. Her skirt looks like it’s hanging on for dear life, and those perky, teenage tits are about to burst out of her tight white top. My dick is rock hard as I breathe in her scent. My lust for her is overwhelming.
“Sorry, princess, but there was a problem processing your payment,” I say, loud enough that the rest of the shop can hear me. Mira gives me a strange look. “I’m gonna need you to come into the office so we can straighten it out.”
I don’t even wait for her response. I just walk away, knowing she’ll follow. Which she does. Once inside, I close and lock the door behind us and draw the shutters, giving us complete privacy.
“A payment problem, huh?” she asks.
“Your payment went through just fine.”
Her eyes dart around the room. We both know what’s happening here. She’s just a little more timid than I am. I need to show her that it’s okay to want what she wants.
“You like to play games, don’t you?”
My lips twist into a crooked smirk. “Games?”
“You could have just asked me out when I showed up here the first time,” she says.
“A guy like me ask out a girl like you?” I laugh. “We both know how that would have gone, princess.”
Mira cocks her head to the side and crosses her arms over her chest. “What’s that supposed to mean?”
“You know damn well.”
She scoffs. “And I’m just supposed to believe you showed up at Jayne’s by total accident when that dickhead was coming onto me?”
I move right in on her, cock throbbing with desire. “You wish I hadn’t? Would you have preferred I’d just let him keep his hands all over you like that?”
Mira’s eyes narrow. Got her.
She stares back at me, lips trembling, as blood rushes to my cock. Never in my life have I felt desire like this for a woman. Just having her in my presence turns me into a goddamn animal.
