My name is Luna. Luna DeSantis and my father is a traitor.

My father Romeo DeSantis orchestrated the assassination of his father and brothers for power and greed. He did this with no thought for us, his children who will be left here tainted by his betrayal. Now not only do i have to help find him, but I have to kill him to prove my allegiance.

I would have fallen apart if it weren’t for Wictor. It was meant to be fun, no muss no fuss and beneficial. Too bad I fell in love. Now, with secrets, lies, decisions and tests being thrown at me, I have more than a few choices and a major assignment. Shed my blood to free us and choose love or let it die. Figuratively and literally.

I don’t know what tomorrow will bring, but for now, I will pledge my allegiance to HerMerta and kill all who come for us

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

PROLOGUE

LUNA

TWO YEARS AGO

“Ugh.” What in the hell just woke me up? Rolling over in my bed, I see my room is empty so it must be something outside my door. Squinting, I am trying to decide if I want to get up and see or continue to be lazy. My mind goes over and over the conversation with my best friend Dulce about college and when I will get my act together. I ignored her like always. I know she misses smarty pants and everything, but not all of us have what it takes.

The truth is, I have never thought about what I was going to do after high school and now here I am six out of high school and I still have no direction. I mean I guess it helps being the daughter of a rich mafia boss. I don’t have to know what to do as long as I stay home and be my dad’s princess and for right now, that is enough for me.

“Damn it.” My little sister Cinzia’s music is at the highest decibel possible meaning she must be mad at her boyfriend. Cursing, I get out of bed, throw on my pajama pants, and stomp out of my room. As I am walking down the hall I check my little brother Aristide's room and see he is not there. That is not surprising, he may be at the basketball court out back.

Once I make it to Cinzia's room, I try knocking a handful of times, but as loud as her music is she can’t hear me. Pissed, I open her door. She is on the bed, headphones on, eyes closed. Walking over to her radio, I look around her room and notice she has removed all of the posters of the boy band heartthrobs she used to have up and it is replaced with, well, mob posters like the godfather, sopranos, etc. I don't know whether to be worried or what.

When the music is turned down, I walk over to her bed and touch her shoulder. She jumps, her entire face one of shock and fear until she sees me and gives me her pissed-off face. “What the hell, Luna? You scared me to death,” she says holding her chest.

“Sorry but the music, seriously.” She looks a little contrite.

“Sorry. I’m just…”

“Pissed at Harry.” Yeah.

“Wanna talk about it?” I ask, moving her hair from her face. She looks like she is thinking about it. Then she shakes her head.

“No. I’ll be alright.” Nodding I am about to leave her room, when Aris comes running into the room his face streaks of tears. An alarm rises inside of me wondering if someone has hurt him.

“Aris, what's wrong?” his body is shaking as he grabs Cin’s remote and turns on the news. At first, I don’t know what I am looking for and I am so busy worrying about him that I am not paying attention until I hear our last name, the word assassination. Cinzia gasps beside me and all I hear is wind in my ears.

“Oh my god. Papa is dead.” Cin cries. I shake my head not believing it.

No. No. There is no way. My father is invincible. Smarter. Always prepared. He is alive. He has to be. Right?

Too bad I didn’t how true and fucked up all of those statements will turn out to be.

CHAPTER

ONE

LUNA

PRESENT DAY

“Oh god Wictor, too hard, too deep.” I moan. I’m currently holding my stomach because I swear I can feel him rearranging shit. Instead of slowing down, he digs deeper into my pussy, his hand tightening around my throat from behind.

“Never too deep, Miłość. Never deep enough,” he whispers in my ear. My eyes roll to the back of my head. His breath against my skin is usually enough to make me wet and achy for him.

He and I have been sneaking off for these clandestine trysts for the last four months meeting in one of two places neither of which is our homes.

That day over two years ago, the one that resulted in half my family being slain, well it not only scarred my heart irreparably, but it also changed my life. Shortly after the day that we will not discuss, my cousin Giulia, the daughter of my oldest uncle Giuseppe who was the leader of our family decided to take over. She decided to bequeath control of the cities our fathers ruled to each of his oldest children and from my father that happened to be me.

“Hey, where did you go baby?” He pulls me back and flips me over. My eyes water thinking about everything and I try to turn my head from him, but he grips my chin and makes me look at him. “Hey. Talk to me.” he kisses me softly. I reciprocate, allowing this moment of tenderness. I am usually closed off. Guarded. I sort of have to be.
Royce
Mari is everything pure and innocent in the world. She's kind, sweet, and smart, but she is also meek, scared, and in need of someone to take care of her. The thing is, once I find out her secrets, her heartbreaking life, I not only want to protect her, I want to breed her, bind her to me not only in deed but also in life. My good girl needs me, not just to show her she is worthy of love, but to show her what is hidden inside of her and saved only for me. I am going to take this shy beautiful girl and turn her into my filthy possession, one orgasm at a time.

Mari
All my life all I have known is violence and degradation. I grew up thinking it was normal. Thinking that this is what love is. When I get the courage to change my situation, I am proud of myself for doing it. I have a path for my life, one that could get me out of this town, even if it doesn't take me to college. The one bright spot has always been Royce, the only good guy I have ever known. He's sweet, protective, and gorgeous. His voice, geesh, makes a girl blush. But a guy like him is going somewhere and I should stay away. Then one crazy turned fantastic night, changes everything and forces me to make yet another hard decision. I didn't realize I needed him until he told me I was his forever and changed me, one orgasm at a time.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER 1

MARI

EIGHTEEN WEEKS AGO

He is staring at me, and it is making me dizzy and that is the last thing I need, especially if I want to get these drinks to the table without having an accident. “He is staring at you like you are a rare steak, hun. Tell again why you haven’t given that man a meal?” Roxy, the older waitress asks me. My face heats up knowing she noticed it, but I simply put my head down.

“Roxy, stop it,” I whisper and try to finish what I was doing. I cannot afford to make a mistake.

I started working at this bar two months ago. It's not my first choice but it was the only place in this small town where everyone knows your business that would hire me without looking at me like the daughter of the town whore.

My mother, Riel, used to be beautiful. She was lively, vibrant and young once. In truth she is still young, but you wouldn’t know it. She had me at sixteen years old and due to her claim she didn’t know who the father was, my grandfather who was a pastor gave her an ultimatum, marry a man of his choosing so she didn’t shame the family or be kicked out with nothing. Of course she chose marriage. This was a secret I have always known as the man who helped raise me, if you could call it that, never missed an opportunity to remind me I was another man’s bastard.

My younger years I remember nothing but being a kid. My mother was an only child, so my grandparents doted on me. I remember pink frilly dresses and birthday parties and trips and anything a little kid could want. I had no idea what was happening around me. It wasn’t until I turned ten and both of my grandparents were no longer with us that the roses were removed from my eyes.

I walked in from school one day to see him slap her onto the floor and kick her in the stomach. I would later learn she was four months pregnant but lost the baby. That was his plan. He wanted no more children after me. Hell I’m pretty sure he didn’t want me but wasn’t given a choice. He was a drunk, an evil one and he didn’t care who was around if you were in his path, you were his target.

The first time he hit me I was twelve and my mom was gone. He walked in from who knows where and I guess he expected food to be waiting for him. I had no idea about any of that, so when I walked past him to go to my room, he reached out, grabbed me by my hair and flung me across the room. My back hit the corner of the coffee table. I cried out in pain, not even sure I could walk, dragging myself across the floor. My mom came in, saw the situation and flew into a rage at him. She scratched him, screamed at him never to touch me again and threatened to call the police. He punched her in the face, called her a bitch and walked out the door.
August
Keeping my diagnosis a secret is hard, but I'm not sure what else to do. It's for his own good that he doesn't know, right? I'm doing this alone because I have to.

Declan
Watching her become withdrawn and sickly, I should have known something was wrong. Instead, I think I blocked it, and I think the worst when she breaks up with me out of the blue.

Can August and Declan find their way back to each other? Back to the truth?

This is book 8 in The President's Daughters Series by ChaShiree M. & M.K. Moore.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

PROLOGUE

AUGUST

TWO MONTHS AGO

I never thought it would be me sitting in this chair, waiting for my entire life to be changed or to be told I could breathe a sigh of release. It’s not just the waiting; it is back in this very office, the same office where my mom received bad news after bad news until it stopped because her life ended. Hell, it's even the same doctor delivering the information to me. Ever since I stepped foot in this place an hour ago, my mind has been a movie reel going over everything from a time in my life when hope was fleeting and, most often, we survived on love and the friendship of others. To be honest, for me, it wasn’t just anyone. My life had no ‘after’ until the day Declan walked into the support group.

THIRTEEN YEARS OLD

I am sitting in this room surrounded by other kids who, like me, have parents who are battling a terminal illness. We are all from various races, backgrounds, socio-economic statuses, cities, grades, schools, and yet, diseases that take your family from you have ravaged all of our lives equally. Joining this group was the day I learned I, the child of a terminally ill patient, is not alone. We are all bonded over our grief, fear of losing our parents, and our utter feeling of being lost. So together, we all make up the Angst of Losing Teen group, funded by the hospital all of our parents attend for treatment. My little sister Connie is not old enough to attend, but the minute she is, I am going to make sure she comes. This is affecting her as well.

“Kids, I would like for you to meet Declan. He is new to our group and to this part of life. I expect all of you will welcome him and offer your support.” We all nod as a new frisson forms in our hearts to welcome another member. He looks around, obviously scared and unsure, hands in his pockets. My heart aches for him. If this is his first go-round, he has no idea what to expect, and to be honest, even years later, you still have no clue, but one minute, you're in remission; the next, it's back. It is a never-ending roller coaster of pain and upheaval.

“Hey, you can sit over here,” I tell him, waving my hands in the air. He looks my way and nods his head. When he sits, I expect us to go back to paying attention to the meeting, but he turns to me with his soul-deep chocolate eyes and smiles.

“Thanks. My name's Declan,” he says, holding his hand out. His name fits him. Putting my hand in his, I smile back.

“Nice to meet you, Declan. My name is August. Welcome to club angst.” his eyes soften. Yeah, buddy, trust me, it gets worse. But the day I met him, something got better, at least in my chest.

FIFTEEN YEARS OLD

“So what did she say?” I ask my mom, who just walked into the house. She has been in remission for the last six months, and although that is amazing, it doesn’t really count until you make it a year. Until that time, you go back every six or, in my mom’s case, due to the swift way it attacked her body, every three months for scans and bloodwork. The three of us have remained optimistic, and dollops of hope have trickled in with each positive update. It’s been nice to laugh and smile.

My mom and Declan’s parents have become great friends. Well, I guess they didn’t have a choice since he and I have been practically attached at the hip ever since he asked me to be his girlfriend at the end of last summer. His mom has been in remission since she finished her treatment at the beginning of this year, and so both houses have been celebrating. Now, I just want the bubble to stay full.

“The cancer is back, and it has spread to my bones.” Pop. I stumble back and grip on the chair behind me.

“No,” I say, shaking my head. “No. She made a mistake. I mean, you look fine. We would have known. If you were in pain or feeling unwell, we would have. " My mom looks at me, guilt in her eyes, and it hits me. In the back of my mind, I am happy Connie is at school and isn’t here for this right now.

“You've been hiding it from us?” I cry out, completely shocked. “You have been lying about feeling better?”

“I did it to protect you, sweet girls. You have been so happy, smiling, laughing, the haunted eyes have been gone, I just…I wanted you to hold onto that for as long as possible.” I hear her. Logically, I know what she is saying makes sense, but we have been a team ever since my dad died when I was eleven and Connie was nine. He was a construction worker and in a freak accident, and the life insurance money make it so that my mom didn’t have to work, and my sisters and my college was taken care of along with the house being paid off.
November
Lincoln is my whole world. Our love was a whirlwind. Love at first sight. Kismet. Destiny. However you want to characterize it, it was amazing. He showed me more in a few weeks than I had seen in my short existence; all of it begins and ends in his arms with his love. Then he asked the one thing all girls dream of and suddenly, I am no longer sure of anything. Is it me getting in my own way? Or have I missed the clues? Either way, Lincoln is all I want.

Lincoln
My November. So sweet, innocent, smart and sexy. Running into her was a gift from heaven. All I have wanted to do is take care of her. Give her anything her heart desires and breed her. So, I made the first step and asked her to be my wife. I thought it would be smooth sailing, but then it seemed everything I did was wrong or made to be something it wasn’t. I know my family is an issue, and I will deal with them, but her doubt…that could be the end of us. November is my heart. I just need her to remember it.

This is book 11 in the President’s Daughters Series by ChaShiree M. & M.K. Moore

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

PROLOGUE

NOVEMBER FOWLER

On the morning of my Freshman Orientation at Delaware University. I met a man. He was tall, with red hair and a chiseled jawline. He exuded an air of confidence that drew me in immediately. I wasn't expecting to fall in love, but he swept me off my feet with his charming smile and smooth words. However, it didn’t feel like he was using recycled lines on me—lines he’s used a thousand times before.

When he asked me out earlier today, I was hesitant. I had just gotten to college and wasn't sure if I was ready for a relationship. I mean, my first class isn’t even until tomorrow morning, but I kept seeing him all over campus as if he were purposely crossing my path. The second time he asked me out, I said yes. His alumni event went long, so he was still on campus after my orientation and tour ended. They say God works in mysterious ways, and I’m inclined to agree.

Now, as I stand in front of my dorm room mirror, trying on different dresses, I can't help but think of Lincoln Hughes. Despite growing up in Wilmington and my parents living less than ten miles from campus, all freshmen must live on campus. I think it’s a crass money grab, but rules are rules, and I’m a good girl. I follow all the rules.

I settled into my dorm room and introduced myself to my suitemates, Micah, Jonah, and Elise. We’re all freshmen. When I said I had no preference on my roommates, I didn’t realize it would be co-ed, but it’s too late now. All quad dorms are two males and two females in four bedrooms, four bathrooms, and one shared kitchen space. For forced housing, of course, I chose the cheapest option available. I had to. I’m here on a scholarship. I have to be frugal. I’m currently working two jobs, and I’ve earned my place here. Becoming a lawyer is something I’ve worked for my whole life, but it’s not necessarily what I want to do with my life, but that’s a problem for another day.

Once I unpacked my suitcase, I looked him up online to ensure he wasn’t a creep. I discovered that he is the current Vice President of Continental Couture, a fashion empire. It was no wonder he had such impeccable style and charm.

As I settle on a light blue silky tank and dark jeans, my heart flutters excitedly. None of the dresses I brought from home look right… look perfect. Lincoln is picking me up for our date, and I can't wait to spend more time with him. I've thought about him all afternoon. He’s so freaking hot. He looks like a younger version of Eric Stoltz, which is strange since he has always been my dream guy because he was in two of my favorite movies, Little Women and Some Kind of Wonderful.

I should be nervous about this date, but I'm not. Something about Lincoln sets me at ease as if we were meant to be together. I can't wait to see where this evening will take us. I meet him out on the quad because non-students aren’t allowed in the dorms at any time.

“You look beautiful, baby,” he says, leading me off campus to his car.

Dinner and dancing led us back to his place, a condo downtown. Inside, he closes the door behind us, and I slip out of my shoes while he does the same. Then he presses me against the door, and I regret wearing jeans tonight. I wish I had a skirt on or, better yet, nothing at all right now. I want his hands on me. I want to be pleased by him, and I want to please him. He kisses me roughly and then suddenly stops. He kneels down in front of me, slowly unbuttons my jeans, and peels them down my legs. I step out of them while holding onto his shoulders.
October
My life really started the day I met Eli. We had our whole lives planned out. We made plans, but that’s the thing about plans—they never go according to plan.

Eli
October was an obsession from the moment I saw her. Marrying her was the best thing that ever happened to me. Kids were never in the plan, but life has a way of giving you everything you never knew you wanted.

Join Eli & October as they learn to love the unexpected.
This is Book 10 in the President’s Daughter’s Series by ChaShiree M. & M.K. Moore

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER 1

OCTOBER DANIELS

I’ll never forget the night I met my husband. I clocked him checking me out the second he walked up to the restaurant. The popular chain restaurant had a little bit of a wait, so my friends and I decided to wait outside in the fresh air. We had gone to Des Moines from Bellmare, our small town in Iowa, looking for our prom dresses. I couldn’t find one, but I wasn’t really trying. I didn’t have a date and didn’t want to go, but my friends were so excited, and I wanted Tex-Mex. Win-win, if you ask me. Little did I know that would be the best night of my life. That was just the beginning, though.

All night, I pretended to be interested in the conversation going on around me, but I wasn’t. I watched him watching me. I didn’t know him, but the butterflies I felt swarming in my stomach all through dinner made feel like I needed to. I knew when we decided to hit the coffee shop, and he was there too that he wanted one of us. I prayed it was me. I mean, I’m pretty sure it is. He didn’t even look at anyone else. Not even Denise, my prettiest friend. When we went to an eighteen-and-up club on a whim, and he followed us. I knew. That should have freaked me out, but it didn’t. I don’t know why it didn’t, but I knew that he would never hurt me.

When he asked me to dance, I felt like I had won the lottery. We danced all night, and then I gave him my number. We looked so different. He was in a three-piece suit, and I was in jeans and a T-shirt, but none mattered when his hands were on me. I didn’t expect him to actually call me since we were so different, but he did, and we went out. He swept me off my feet, and I fell head over heels in love with him. How could I not? He’s the best man I’ve ever known, and I still can’t believe he chose me. It would be easy to think it had anything to do with his money, but it doesn’t. Don’t get me wrong, it’s nice not worrying about anything, but we could live in a tent as long as were together, nothing else matters. I love him so much that it scares me sometimes. You shouldn’t be able to love another person so damn much

After only six weeks, I said yes when he asked me to marry him. Of course, I did. I wanted to be his wife more than I wanted my next breath. I still had three weeks of high school left, but I didn’t care. I was his. He kept me out of his bed but still managed to teach me the things I desperately wanted to know. Once we got married and went on our honeymoon, I don’t think we left our hotel room one time.

That was five years ago now. I finished college, and we’ve traveled all over. I’ve been working in Doctor Kimble’s office in Bellmare. He’s the doctor who delivered me twenty-three years ago.

Eli bought a house in town when we were dating, and once we got married, he moved his practice here. He’s the only attorney in town. Before you went to Des Moines to get anything done, I love that we’re a busy couple. We have friends; we go to dinners and parties. We love our lives, and we don’t want anything to change.

My life now is such a big change from my childhood, when it was just my Mom and me. She was married and had trouble conceiving. She used IVF to conceive me, and within minutes of me being born, her husband decided he couldn’t raise another man’s child and left us. Good riddance, but that left my mother depressed and unable to work for the first few years of my life.

She was never really able to recover from that. I never asked for anything extra. I didn’t participate in any sports or dance classes until I was old enough to work to pay for it myself. I got a job at fourteen. I saved half of my check and gave the other half to my mom for the bills. When I realized she wasn’t paying the bills with it, I started paying them myself. I never had an extravagant meal until I met Eli. I never had clothes that didn’t come from the thrift store. I never had anything. It was a shock to learn that we had similar childhoods, but I love my life the way it is now. It’s amazing not to have to worry about where my next meal is coming from or if the electric bill will be paid on time, and there is something to be said about that kind of security.
When she tripped into his lecture hall, September wasn’t looking for love, but she found it.
Trevor wanted September from the moment he saw her.
Being with September is all he wants.

This is Book 9 is the President’s Daughters Series by ChaShiree M. & M.K. Moore

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Prologue

September

I am standing in the middle of campus on my first day of college, looking around me at the skyscrapers, the architecture, and the people bustling about, and I cannot believe I am here. Making it into the art program at the most sought-after art school in New York was unreal. My parents tried to take the joy away from me, but I couldn’t let them. I did this on my own.

I grew up in West Palm Beach, Florida, surrounded by snobs, elites, and old money. I mixed and mingled with politicians, judges, and some of Hollywood's most elite, but I never felt like I fit in. My parents are the old-money ones, family history draped in genealogy trees of hard work and perseverance. Lineages are stamped and put into books to trace the line as far back as it will go, and I still never saw myself as one of them.

My mom is beautiful, simply put. She is tall, elegant, well-spoken and as ladylike as a senator's wife, only she has a knife in her back pocket for backstabbing. Her family made their money in gold and then diamonds. I won’t bore you with the details of how they got started, but it is something my maternal grandparents are extremely proud of, and they should be. They carved out a niche for themselves, which has served them well.

My stoic, pensive, and ever-serious father, is blatant and curt. I don’t think I have ever seen him smile, even when he likes a joke. His family made their money in oil. They bought some during the gold rush, built their houses on it and one day, while trying to build a well, they hit a pipe and spilled oil. Well, the rest is history. Their match was arranged and that is the life they sought for me. Heck, even their names drip money. Persephonie Hilt and Louis Bettancourt. Yeah. Tell me about it.

Which is why I always needed help figuring out how my name became September. Nothing about it screams wealthy, right? Not to mention, I look nothing like either of them. My mom's hair is brown with streaks of blonde, sleek and never out of place. Her skin is alabaster and flawless. My father's hair is more tanned, but his features are keen and strong. And then there is me—red hair, freckles, and plain with hazel eyes.

Then, one day, when I was ten, one of the kids at school, in an attempt to make me cry, laughed as she told me my dad was not my dad. I screamed, told her she was a liar, and cried the entire way home. When I arrived, my mom was waiting for me, hand on her always disapproving hip and a look of censure on her face because I made her look bad once again. My father walked in right as I was telling her what happened, and this is the one time I have ever seen her look horrified and afraid.

Instead of addressing me, my father looked at her and asked her how anyone knew. I watched and listened in amazement at how she blamed it on wine at a lady's function, and he yelled about how it made him look like less of a man. Neither of them talked to me, asked me how I was feeling, explained it to me, or anything. It was like what I just learned didn’t rock my world on its axis either. That was the day I realized I was alone in this world, and I needed to take care of myself.

Six months ago, I was deciding what I wanted to do with my life and fighting between doing what my parents wanted and possibly gaining their acceptance or going for my dream and being happy. The first step in making that choice was submitting my DNA to this database and crossing my fingers that something showed up.

I spent a few months not sure what I was hoping for, but then on the day of my senior prom, when my mom didn’t bother to show up since I didn't go with the boy she chose, and I was left at home to dress and drive myself, my choice was made.

Six weeks before it was time to start college, I received a letter with the results. Not only did information about my bio dad show up, but it also showed me I had sisters. Eight to be exact. Talk about mind-blowing. So, I reached out to them. Turns out two of them live in Boston and offered me to stay with them for the summer before going off to school. How could I resist that?
July is starting over. Headed for her future, who knew he'd be at the first stop.

Boone is in the right place at the right time. Joining July is the best thing he's ever done.

This is Book 7 is the President's Daughters Series by ChaShiree M. & M.K. Moore

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

PROLOGUE

JULY HAVEN

ONE WEEK AGO

I have been running around like a crazy person packing my meager belongings. There is so much I will have to leave behind, but the truth is none of it means anything. It is all void of memories or love.

I did not grow up in a loving home. Heck, I didn’t grow up in a home at all. My mother, Gina, was a wayward mom if you will. My mom grew up believing her body was her best asset and was her ticket to wealth. She says she learned this from looking at the world around her. She says she learned that those that have used what they had to get and those that have not, refuse to use what they have to obtain.. From the time she was sixteen, she was seducing men and using them to get what she wanted until she decided that was no longer enough.

When she was eighteen, she met a man named Lucius. He was a millionaire widower from New York. She has always been good at reading people, and she immediately realized he had no family, and she set out to trap him. She went to a sperm bank, got inseminated and set out to trap the poor man by sleeping with him.

Now, I am not saying my mom is a genius by no means because if she had been, she would have slept with him first and then done that. As it turned out for three months, not realizing the procedure had worked, she tried to seduce him to no success. When she finally figured out she was pregnant with me, she was far enough along that termination was more expensive and would be more painful, so she kept me.

Throughout my childhood, she often left me with old ladies, neighbors, and eventually by myself. The bills were always paid, how I don’t know, and there was always food in the house, but I was alone a lot from a really early age. I survived by reading, writing, and keeping my head down. I studied, made good grades and stayed out of trouble.

Now, here I am, twenty years old, on my way to Hollow’s Hollow, West Virginia where I have taken a job as an assistant for the local law office who in turn is going to pay for me to go to school to be a teacher. Well, I should correct that; I got an almost full ride since I don't need to live on campus, and luckily, the law office has agreed to pay the rest. I will be living above the only bar in town.

Zipping up the last of my suitcases, I take a moment to look around the bedroom I am going to be saying goodbye to soon and I feel nothing but excitement. Finally, I got to make my own destiny, and the first step was submitting my DNA for a familial match from my mom’s side of her family.

Growing up I had no family besides her. She told me nothing of her parents, or if she had siblings. I would have given anything to have grandparents when I was younger. So, as part of my new life plan, I submitted my DNA to find out who I am and hopefully make the answer another part of my journey. My new beginning. My future. I just hope what I find, wants to be found.

CHAPTER 1

JULY

I am so going to be late. I should have left four hours earlier than I did, made it to the apartment I am going to be staying in and left myself time to look around, but instead I am late and if the jerking of my car is any indication I am going to be even later. “No. No. No. Bertha don’t do this to me.” I smack the wheel when it begins to stop. Banging my head on it, I try to pull over as far as I can, but it’s no use, it stop at a red light in the middle of the street. Well at least I am in a town that is bustling with people and not stranded on the side of the road.

This day was starting off late, but it was still a good day. I woke up hopeful and full of excitement for the upcoming adventure but now, I don’t know what I am going to do. I get out of the car once the last bump happens and then it stops. Now I am looking around this busy place trying to figure out what to do next.
June
Overwhelmed doesn't even begin to describe what I'm feeling right now, and I don't know if I'd get through it without Owen. He's my rock.

Owen
Making June mine is all I can think about since the moment I first saw her. She is everything I've wanted or needed.

This is Book Six in The President's Daughter's Series by ChaShiree M. & M.K. Moore

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

PROLOGUE

June

I grew up in a loving home. One that was filled with laughter and more love than I could handle. My parents not only loved me, but they loved one another. I can’t remember a time when my dad wasn’t touching my mom in some way when they were in the same room, whether it was her back, kissing her cheek, or holding her hand in his. They were so in love as they had been since high school. Yep, they were high school sweethearts.

Having the life I did, I went through life with rose-colored glasses, believing love was a fairytale and love was all-consuming. When I was five, my parents sat me down and told me I was adopted. With tears in her eyes, she explained that she couldn't carry one, no matter how much they tried. They went to a foster home, and a week later, they had me. I was five months old. I was initially confused, unable to understand what she was telling me. She was just my mom, but as I got older, it all clicked, and I understood. It changed nothing for me. They were my parents and loved me beyond measure, so anything else was irrelevant.

When I was sixteen, my mom gave me a letter from my birth mom, and when I read it, I realized I was doubly loved. It read:

My beautiful baby girl,

You have no idea how much I love you and wish that I could keep you and raise you with your father. We made you in love and planned just that, but before I could tell him about you, my life was irreparably changed, and so was my plan. So, I had to make the hardest choice of my life, but I know it is the right one. I want you to have the best life with everything good you deserve in the world, so the only way I could do it was to give you up. I hope you go to a family that will love you. All I asked of whoever was blessed with you is to name you after a month of the year. I know it sounds crazy, but it is to honor your father’s mother. Who knows, maybe we will cross paths one day, and I will know it is you.

I love you, my angel.

Always,

Your Mom

That letter will be with me for the rest of my life and is in my box of memories. When I was eighteen, the night of graduation, my parents were leaving the party they had for me since I was staying with my best friend, and on their way home, they were hit by a drunk driver, and both of them died. Suddenly, I found myself alone and devastated. I wanted to curl up in a ball and let life take me away, but then all of their hopes and dreams for me wouldn’t let me. So, I enrolled in community college, got a job at an office as a clerk, and did my best to move on. So now, why does it feel so lonely?

CHAPTER

ONE

JUNE

Ugh. I hate it when the tours run over because that means I get off later than usual, miss the earlier bus, and have to wait another two hours for the last one. At least my favorite ice cream shop is still open, which I go to when I work late and every weekend. The owner likes to joke that he stays open just for me.

As per usual, I walk slowly down the street past the tailor, the shoe shine place, and the hardware store, which, if I am honest, my eyes linger on, always looking for the owner, Owen. You want to talk about fine, and not in the pretty boy sort of way. That man is Matthew Fox handsome, but not Party of Five Matthew Fox, no, he is Lost, gorgeous, with a toolbox and a ruggedness to him that makes my lady bits throb.

Continuing down the block, I finally come to the ice cream shop and sigh when the door opens. “Ah, there she is. I thought you forgot about me,” Jimmy, the owner, says, smiling.

“Now you know that is not the case. I need my black cherry walnut.” Nodding, he walks over to get my order. When he comes back, I pull out the money, and a hand slaps the bills on the counter before I can pay.

“I got her, Jimmy.” Oh, man. I could recognize the growly voice anywhere. I turn to him, trying to hide how much he affects me.

“Thanks, Owen. You didn’t have to do that.” He looks me up and down. I swear his eyes are made of fire because I feel his gaze everywhere.

“I know I didn’t have to, beautiful. I wanted to.” Geesh. I put my hair behind my ear and look down, trying not to blush.
May
Finding my father took a backseat once I found my sisters. The one constant in my life has always been my hero, Logan. He's saved more times than I can count, so it's no wonder I love him. Too bad I'll never be more than his best friend.

Logan
Loving May has been all I've ever done. She's been it for me since the moment I met her. She's keeping a secret from me, and I love her all the more for it. How can I convince her that we can be more than just friends?

This is book five in the President's Daughter's series by ChaShiree M. & M.K. Moore.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

PROLOGUE

MAY

THREE MONTHS AGO

I cannot believe I am finally about to do this. I mean, I am going to do this. I am. I totally am. Right? My mind goes crazy trying to psyche myself up to open the box that was given to me on my eighteenth birthday, but with explicit instructions not to open it until my nineteenth birthday. I thought it was a joke at first. Who would be making sure I didn't just open it anyway? But once I told my best friend, Logan, he practically wrenched it out of my hand and said if that was the instruction, it must be for a good reason, and we are not doing otherwise. Yeah, he is a stickler for rules. Sort of.

“Are you ready to do this?” he asks, sitting beside me on the floor.

Biting my lip, I stare at this freaking box like if I touch it, somehow the world will end, but the truth is, my world ended eight years ago when my father committed suicide, and then my mom OD’d out of grief. I was thrown into foster care, and nothing was ever the same. The only good thing that came out of that was Logan. When I made it to the first group home, he was already there and sort of became my protector. Every year or so I would be moved from one to the other, petrified of being somewhere he wasn’t, but he managed to come with me every single time. To this day, I don’t know how he made that happen, but he did.

“As ready as I'll ever be. Don’t know why I am so nervous. What could I learn here that is more devastating than what I have already been through?” I voice this out loud, but the truth is that is exactly what I have been worried about. How much worse can it get?

“That’s a good point. But, just in case, I brought you this.” From behind his back he hands me one of two mugs we made together at a pottery place the first year we were on our own. Smiling, thinking about the day we made these. I take mine from his hands.

“Mmm. This smells delicious.” I thank him, sniffing the aroma. “Extra...”

“Marshmallows and peppermint chips. Yes. Of course.” He chuckles, finishing my sentence. I can’t help smiling because that has been our whole friendship. He has paid attention to everything about me, from incredibly tiny nuances to the major things. That is one of the reasons I am totally in love with him. But, instead of confessing that truth, I simply give him my sly smile.

“You don’t know me,” I tease him, humming when the chocolatey fragrant drink hits my tongue. My eyes are closed because the first sip is one you want to savor.

“Every fucking detail,” he grumbles. My eyes pop open and he is staring at me, his nostrils flared and jaw grinding. My insides begin to tingle, and since I don't want to choke on this hot cocoa, I swallow it and try to act like I don't notice how his eyes are making me squirmy.

“Alright. Let’s do this.” Opening the box, nothing seems familiar about anything that is in it initially. I don’t understand papers, bills that have nothing to do with me, and pictures I am unsure what to make of. But then, I come across a small locket in a plastic envelope and the tears start instantly because I know what is in it. My mom used to wear it around her neck every day. Inside is a picture of her and me as a newborn. “Momma,” I whimper, ripping the locket from the envelope and opening it up. And like a burst of sun on a rainy day, there it is, the picture I still see in my dreams.

Before I can stop myself, I am clutching it against my chest and ugly crying into Logan's arms. “Shit, May. I wish I could fix this for you,” he says, kissing the side of my head.

“Why wasn’t I enough?” I ask him, my voice wobbly and broken. “Why was I never enough?” I used to ask myself this all the time after it happened. We weren’t enough for my father and then my mom didn’t love me enough to stay either.

“You are more than enough,” he whispers. “For me.” I think that is what I heard, but what do I know? I can’t stop crying. He moves slightly and then puts another envelope in my face. “I think this might be a letter.” Sitting up a little, I wipe my nose with the back of my hand and take it from him.

“Thank you.” Opening it, I take a deep breath and read.

My sweet girl,

If you are reading this, you should be an adult now, living a free and happy life. But it also means I am not with you. I know you have questions and might not understand, but I want you to know it wasn’t you, May. You were everything we could have hoped for. You are kind, bright, and so smart. But there are things in life and choices you make that seem like a good idea at the time, but then they turn out to be painful, unfixable, and leave you without hope. I am reluctant to explain any of this to you, but after losing your father earlier this month and knowing what I am about to do, I owe you this much.
My name is Larabee St. Clair and I am a retriever.

I grew up in an unorthodox environment, surrounded by violence and death. There wasn't a day I awoke and there wasn’t a trail of blood outside my back door. I watched my father degrade women, hurt women and use them like the pig he was. It made me savage. Sadistic. Dark. Unfeeling. I swore to myself when I was able to take my little sister from that life before I ended him, and I did, but not before I had to fight to get my sister back.

Now I work for the biggest crime family in the U.S., The DeSantis, headed by Giulia Desantis. She contracts me to retrieve girls who have been trafficked and or kidnapped by her enemies. I’m supposed to find, and kill anyone who stands in my way and return them home. That is what I do..well until her.

Satine changes my m.o. I find myself fighting two wars. One with the men trying to take her back from me and one within myself. Not to mention, if I don’t bring her back, Giulia could have my head, literally. But the thing is, once I get my hands on her, they won’t come off until she is bred with my kid and bound to me in blood and life.

I will kill anyone who tries to take her from me and betray all allegiances to keep her for myself. Satine not only changed me, but she changed the view. I see things I never saw and I don’t know if I can go back to who I was. But the one thing that will never change…Anyone who dares to come for us, will bleed at our feet.

Satine
My name is Satine Izabelle Coronado and I am an asset. In my family, women are nothing but bargaining tools, things to be sold for more power or incubators to sire heirs. My father, Felicisimo Coronado is the most ruthless man in Cuba and even he didn’t see my kidnapping coming.

I was meant to be arranged to a bad man but instead I was kidnapped and trafficked to New York by men my father thought he could trust. I was beaten, drugged and held in a damp, cold, basement, blindfolded for days, weeks even. I had no idea what my future held or if I would have one at all and then he saved me. Him, Larabee. He sees me.

He took me from that place, spilling blood along the way from those who felt I belonged to them. He told me he was supposed to take me back, return me to the very home that put me in this position. Before I could ask him not to, he told me he wouldn’t.

Larabee, my hero, took me, claimed me, protected me. He told me I belonged to him and that he would kill anyone who said different. What do you say to the man who has risked his life for you?

I vow to be beside him, be what he needs and where he needs me, even if it is on my knees before him. He is my darkness. He says I am his light. Our opposition will die in a rain of bullets or a wall of fire.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

One

Larabee

Two Weeks Ago

Ihave been standing in the concrete bunker for almost an hour watching Giulia torture some asshole. To anyone else they would think I was standing here unacknowledged, but that could be farther from the truth. I walked into her using a blowtorch on him and though she didn’t look at me and still hasn’t, I know she is aware of my presence. You don’t get the reputation she has by being unaware.

“LB.” She calls me by my organizational name, and I lift my head.

“Boss.”

“Can you hand me my sword?” I am one of the strongest men in the industry. Not much can make me squirm. In my own right I am savage, untethered and relish the feeling of my enemies blood on my skin after I have ended them. To that point, there isn’t much I haven’t done or seen for that matter, but when she wields that fucking sword, my stomach does flapjacks. Have you seen a man's head roll down a plank, freshly cut? No. Well I have had more times than I can count.

“Boss.” I hand her the unforgiving weapon and move to step back, but she stops me.

“As you can see my husband is not here, shocking I know.” She smiles when she talks about him and not for the first time I wonder how she does it all. “He usually sets up the plank for me so it can fall into the gator pit. Do you mind?” Damnit. Reluctantly, but only on the inside, I set up the plank with the side bars and open the gator pit. I make sure the ledge is in place and I step back. “Thank you.”
