Jane Adams was already having the worst night of her life. Fired for refusing her boss’s advances, she never expected to witness a brutal mafia attack—or save the life of a dangerous stranger.

Alexey Baranov should have died that night. Instead, a fearless woman stepped in and killed the son of a powerful mafia boss to protect him.
Now Vincent Morello wants Jane dead.
Alexey refuses to let that happen.
Jane has spent her whole life feeling unwanted, invisible, and forgotten. But with Alexey, she’s finally seen. Claimed. Protected.
And Alexey doesn’t give up what belongs to him.
Not even for a mafia war

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

“Shit, fuck, this is not good. Why did you do this, Jane? This is not clever of you. This is insane.” Jane Adams grunted as she started to pull the man toward her car. He let out a groan, and she growled. “Come on, I don’t know if there are going to be any more people looking for you.”

So, in the past thirty minutes, her life had gone from shit to fucking worse. All she had done was sit in her beat-up car as she attempted to deal with her boss’s ultimatum: she had to sleep with him or find another job.

“No offense, sweetheart, but not many people are going to be jumping for joy offering you a job. You’re not exactly easy on the eyes.”

His words, although cruel, didn’t hurt her. Not anymore. Growing up being a plain Jane, she was used to it. Men would look at her for a moment, but the instant a hot woman walked into the room, she was well and truly forgotten. Some might think it was cruel of them. She no longer cared.

Actually, she thought it was ironic seeing as she was also named “Jane” by the church where she had been dropped off when she was just a few days old. At least, that was what she assumed.

From the church, she was sent to foster care, and for the first eighteen years of her life, she got used to being overlooked. The parents that came to adopt kids were not looking for plain but extraordinary. She had gone from good foster homes to the worst kind, so tonight hadn’t exactly been a surprise to her—sitting in her car after losing her job, because she wasn’t about to fuck her boss to keep it. She had been punching out her steering wheel, when up ahead, a gunfight had broken out.

A car had been rammed, and then a couple of guys had gotten out, both dressed in suits. Armed with guns, they pointed them toward the man in the upturned car. One of the two was shot down.

Something in her gut told her to act. Maybe it was the boss pushing her into a corner, or the potential for the underdog, or she was just pissed off. Pressing on her accelerator, she literally ran the shooter down. To any other person, this might have been terrifying; however, this wasn’t the first time she had seen death. She pushed that to the back of her mind.

The guy in the car had managed to wriggle his way out, and she was pulling him into her car. His face was covered in blood. She refused to look at any of his tattoos or try to recognize him.

“Come on,” she said, growling, as she finally was able to drag his ass into the passenger seat of her car.

This was a big mistake. She had no idea who she had just killed. She had no way of knowing if someone else was on their way to rescue him or provide backup. She didn’t even know if the man now in her car was worth saving. Either way, they were questions that did not need answering. Not now, not ever. All she had to do was get him to safety, then get rid of him and hope for the best.

She pulled out onto the street, spinning her wheels, and then quickly made her way across the city to get to her shitty apartment. Well, it was shitty, but not the worst, so that was an improvement. Thankfully, the landlord of the building had just recently fixed the elevator.

The guy next to her groaned, but she ignored him and focused on driving, while also keeping an eye on everything around her to make sure they were not being followed. Her heart pounded and she felt sick to her stomach.

It was late, close to two in the morning, so most of the streets were empty. She passed a few seedy-looking people—some pimps doing deals, prostitutes selling their wares, drug deals. The usual kind of shit that happened in bad neighborhoods after dark.

Arriving at her apartment, she parked the car, got out, and started to help the man toward the building. Every now and then, she nearly dropped him, because he weighed a lot more than her. She nearly fell to the ground a few times.

By some miracle, she was able to get him inside the building, into the elevator, and then into her apartment. She was sweating by the time they got there, and she was also feeling a little sick. This was not good.

She was able to get him into her small kitchen and dining area. Now, she saw the blood on his face clearly, but there also appeared to be two potential gunshot wounds.

“Who are you?” he asked.

She looked at him and immediately looked away. “I’m no one. We’re not going to share names. We’re not going to know anything about each other. I don’t want to know what went down tonight. Tell me if you want me to just drop you off at the hospital.”
She caught her boyfriend cheating—with her best friend.
Razor saw it all … and stepped in.

He’s wanted her from the start, but she belonged to his club brother. Now she’s finally free—and he’s done waiting.
She’s innocent. He’s anything but.
And once he has her, he’s never letting her go.

But in the Chaos Monsters MC … love always comes with a cost

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

“I think this is going to be perfect,” Eden Summers said to her best friend. From the sound of it, Hilary wasn’t really interested in what she had to say. There was a giggle, and Eden knew that meant her friend had company. “I’d better go, and I’ll talk to you later.” She pressed the red button on her cell phone.

Looking around Mac’s room, she couldn’t help but feel the nerves start to spiral. It was kind of surreal to think that tonight, on Valentine’s Day, she was going to lose her virginity. Not that anyone knew she was still a virgin. She’d been able to keep that secret locked up tight. Jumping into bed with a man on the first date was not something she did.

She and Mac had been dating for a year and a half, and yes, it surprised her, but he’d been the perfect gentleman, which considering he was a member of the Chaos Monsters MC, was a miracle.

Chaos Monsters MC didn’t exactly have the nicest reputation around town, even though they owned the only bar, as well as a strip club. The large town of Rivermont Ridge was not without problems. It was once three different towns—River, Mount, and Ridge—that joined names to become Rivermont Ridge.

She didn’t know the gory details, just that she had lived in this town all her life, and she learned to survive. It wasn’t a bad place to live, however, there were times you didn’t want to go outside, like when you heard the sound of roaring bikes.

She’d met Mac at the summer fair a year and a half ago, and they hit it off. At first, she’d been nervous, seeing as he was biker. He was gruff, he cursed, and was just an all-around bad guy. She was aware he had a couple of guns, and she never questioned him when he arrived at her house bloodied or with bruised, busted-up knuckles. Instead, she learned first aid, took a class in it, in fact, without him knowing, so she would be able to patch him up without consulting the Internet.

She and Mac hadn’t had sex. There had been a couple of times that their makeout sessions had gotten intense, but she couldn’t bring herself to go the next step.

He’d been the perfect gentleman. Which is why she knew he was the one, and this Valentine’s Day, she had purchased a lovely red lace negligee, a matching silk thong, and had cleaned his room with the intention of seducing him.

She was excited and nervous. She’d not told Mac she was a virgin. Being twenty-five and a virgin had been the last thing she wanted to talk about. Hilary didn’t even know she was a virgin, and her friend had been with her for many years.

Letting out a breath, she decided to step into the bathroom and check her appearance one last time. She’d curled her long, brown hair. Most of the time with her brown locks, she felt kind of mousy. She looked for internet tutorials on ways to style it, until she got the contract to update the stylist, Kristin Shaw’s, website in town. Kristin had been so happy with the new website design, easy access, as well as booking appointments, which she made so easily, that she now got discounted hair care. She enjoyed going to see Kristin and they’d become good friends.

“You’ve got this, Eden. You’re ready.”

She washed her hands, took a deep breath, and that was when she heard the door open. A smile broke out across her face, and just as she took a step toward the door and heard the words, she immediately dropped it.

“I need my dick inside you so badly.” There was no mistaking Mac’s gruff voice. She’d been listening to him for so long, she loved his voice.

“Yeah, baby, is that what you want? You want your big fat dick in my cunt before you go to your woman’s?”

And her heart shattered. Eden stood in his bathroom, dressed and ready to make love, while Mac had come into his bedroom with Hilary, her supposed best friend.

She moved away from the door, but there was no mistaking the sounds coming from them. They were having sex. The clothes had been thrown to the floor, and Hilary was now begging for it.

“That’s right, fuck me so you’re ready to go and deal with Eden.”

This couldn’t be any more mortifying. She couldn’t believe what she was hearing.
Axel Rules lives by three rules:

He never kisses a woman on the lips.
He never sleeps over, and they’re not allowed to sleep at his place.
And the final rule, he never dates single mothers.

Joey Sinclair is a single mother, and she owns the coffee shop in town. He knows she has a history. She stood up against her abusive ex-husband. The ex left town, and wanted nothing to do with his daughter. Axel doesn’t want to get involved with Joey, but he can’t get her out of his mind.
When her parents take her daughter away for the weekend, they order her to have some fun. To relax.
It had been so long since she enjoyed some time to herself. Going to the bar, all she intends to do was drink a beer, and dance.

That first night, Axel breaks all of his rules. He couldn’t resist kissing Joey. Her lips were too damn good to ignore. One kiss led to a sleep over, and when he woke up, Joey had snuck off. And now, he had broken his third and final rule, he was falling for a single mother. His father had taught him these rules, so he didn’t get his heart broken. What he didn’t truly realize, his father had loved before.

Now, it was Axel’s turn to fall in love. But will Joey fall in love with him? Will she give herself to him? He has a terrible reputation. But, Axel’s ready to settle down. He wants to be a father to Joey’s daughter, and he wants to have children of his own. But will she be willing to take the risk?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

Axel Rules couldn’t believe he was in Adeline’s Coffee Shop once again. He had attempted to avoid this place for one reason—the owner, Joey Sinclair. The moment he stepped foot in the coffee shop, his gaze was drawn to her, like it had been for so long. Joey was a beautiful woman. She took his breath away. Long, blonde hair that was always pulled back into a clip at the back of her head. She rarely wore any makeup, and of course, her usual jeans and a short-sleeved shirt were in place, with it being summer. If it was winter, she would often be in a sweater or long-sleeved shirt. The fact he knew this ... alarmed him.

He was not a man to notice these things about women. He never got close to women as he took his name seriously. Axel Rules followed three of his own rules:

One, never kiss a woman. This one was simple. He used his mouth on women, but never to kiss them, especially not on the lips. He could kiss their body, lick, suck, all of it, but not on the lips.

Two, he never slept over. Sex was sex, and he didn’t fall asleep. Once the deed was done, he was out of there, which meant no woman ever slept at his place. It made them become too attached, and that was the last thing he wanted.

The third and final rule—never, ever date single mothers.

Joey Sinclair was a single mother. Adeline, who the coffee shop was named after, was her nine-year-old daughter.

He already knew too much about this woman, but then, living in a small town, it was hard not to notice these things. He was the town handyman, following in his father’s footsteps. He was aware of what people called him. The town “bad boy,” the “rebel,” and also “the guy most women wanted to fuck.”

The notches on his bedpost were extensive, but it stopped him from ever getting hurt. This is what his father warned him about. It was why, even to this day, he lived by these rules.

Of course, a lot of people knew, including himself, that his father had been in love with Axel’s mom. She had died giving birth to him, and since that moment, his father had fallen out of love. That was when Axel came up with the rules.

His father never found love again. He just danced his way through woman after woman, until he had died a couple of years ago from cancer. It had been a brief illness. His father had given up. Axel knew the only person his father had wanted was his wife.

Axel stuck with his father’s teachings. He saw what happened when a man fell in love with a woman and then lost her. It broke his soul, shattered his being. And he was never going to fall for that, which is why he had avoided coming into this fucking coffee shop, and yet here he was.

He was a few customers away from looking into Joey’s smiling face. She always seemed to be smiling. He didn’t know her complete history, but he knew enough. Adeline’s father was no longer in the picture. That was because the asshole had started to beat the shit out of Joey. He had heard the rumors of a bruise here and a cut lip there, and then one day, Joey was pregnant and ended up in the hospital.

Once she got out, within a week, the sheriff was called to her home, and it turned out Joey had stood up and hit the fuck back. Axel had never seen or heard of that fucker since. George Moseley. Piece of shit.

He was ten years older than Joey, and he’d gone to school with George. That prick had been a bastard even then, hitting girls, hurting them. There were a few times Axel had stopped him. He’d never been afraid of the little shit, but that little shit had been afraid of him.

Axel didn’t hurt women. He simply didn’t fall in love with them.

“Well, hello,” Joey said. “It’s a shock to see you here again. What is this, five days in a row?”

“You’re counting down the hours until you see me next?” he asked.

She laughed. “Not at all. I heard through town rumor that you don’t even like my coffee. I seem to recall you think I serve shit coffee.”

Axel chuckled. He’d used that excuse quite a few times. “Don’t you know you can’t believe everything you hear?”

“Yeah, well, I’ve got a bit of a hunch this one is accurate. Anyway, your usual, or do you want to try something different?”

His usual was a strong black coffee. He wasn’t very adventurous with his drinks, but when it came to the bedroom, he was on fire. Axel looked at her and knew he shouldn’t even be considering anything with her, yet that was exactly what he was doing. He wanted her, badly. This was a big fucking mistake.
Dmitriy Fedulov was known as the ghost devil. He was who the head of the Gnesin Bratva sent when they wanted to annihilate. He killed all enemies, and he did so without remorse. Until her.

Anastasia Babkin defied her family and refused to marry a cruel man. As punishment, she was thrown out, forced to live on her own, far away from the Bratva. She knew the risks. It was why she stayed all alone.

When Dmitriy was sent, he didn’t kill her. Instead, he kept her safe. He felt nothing for no one, until he met Anastasia. She was unlike other women. She was different, and he couldn’t bring himself to kill her.

The orders from Gnesin didn’t sit well with Dmitriy. When he demands a meeting, and it goes silent, he knows something is wrong. When the enemy comes hunting him down, it's only a matter of time before the Bratva falls.

Anastasia doesn’t know who ordered the kill on her family. She has fallen in love with her savior. But, will they be able to survive? Is the leader of the Bratva still alive? Will he let them live? Or is it just one big betrayal?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

Dmitriy Fedulov glanced down at his cell phone and gritted his teeth. Nikolai Gnesin was pushing on his last nerve. If he wasn’t careful, all the soldiers and people that followed him would turn on him, as he now wanted the Thompsons completely annihilated. In the last six months, that would be the fifth family his boss wanted eradicated. This started with the Babkins.

He was no stranger to death or to killing. It was his job. For as long as he could remember, he had killed. He had killed his own parents, but they had been sick fucks and deserved every ounce of pain. There were rumors he was a man who could not feel pain. That he had no feelings. He was worse than the Devil, because at least the Devil showed mercy.

Up until six months ago, Dmitriy had never shown any kind of mercy. He was told who to kill, and that was exactly what he did. He killed without mercy and without remorse. He got the job done.

That all changed when he was given the order to remove the Babkins. There was nothing special about the Babkin family. They were quite large, and when it was annihilation, that meant from the head of the family down to the child. Again, it didn’t bother him to do just that. Only, there was a tiny detail he had never told anyone.

Anastasia Babkin.

She was nothing special, at least he hadn’t thought so. A few years ago, he had seen her at a few parties. She didn’t mingle and stood in her own little corner, trying to be as invisible as possible, which made her different to other women her age. At the time, she had been eighteen, and she wasn’t eighteen anymore.

Rumor had it she embarrassed her father and as a result, she was cast out. One day, she simply stopped coming to parties, or even appearing as a family member. For all intents and purposes, she was an outcast.

He shouldn’t have been curious. In fact, he shouldn’t have even cared. Nothing involved with the Gnesin Bratva was his business. It was as simple as that.

Only, he hadn’t let it go.

Instead, he had gone looking for Anastasia. What he discovered had surprised him. She wasn’t living on the streets, but surviving. She had gotten a nine-to-five job at a local artisan supermarket, and in her free time worked at a kennel. She had a small apartment, nothing flashy, and she didn’t have a constant stream of boyfriends. Anastasia had left the life, and Dmitriy found it peaceful to just sit back and watch her.

Then the order had come in.

Death.

He should have killed her. For a few days, if not a whole week, he had wrestled with this decision. He could have left it. Pretended to have killed her, but instead he told Gnesin the job was done, and she was dead. Then he stole her in the night, kidnapped her, took her to one of his secure locations, and told her that her life was in his hands. Since then, he had been taking care of her. He continued to do his job. No one was the wiser.

He didn’t have feelings about anyone. Dmitriy kept expecting the tide to turn, for him to realize the error of his ways, and just get the job done. Kill her. It was what needed to be done. Only, he wasn’t doing it. Far from it.

He liked going home. Anastasia was ... perfect. She was peaceful, and she didn’t make any demands. But there was also the problem that he wanted her.

She was twenty-five years old, had her whole life ahead of her. He could have any woman he wanted, but he couldn’t bring himself to be with anyone else. There was only one woman he wanted, and it was driving him crazy to be the perfect gentleman.

Gripping his cell phone tightly, he reread the message, which was clear. Another family was on the chopping block, and the one thing he had come to know about Gnesin was if he didn’t get the job done soon, there would be a problem. He would hire amateurs.

Something wasn’t right with Gnesin. People whispered it was drugs. Others said he was going crazy.

The Gnesin Bratva was feared. The members were loyal, and not because he killed them all, and everyone lived in fear. At least, he fucking hoped it wasn’t.

He ran a hand down his face. Something had to be done. At this rate, there wasn’t going to be a Bratva. Taking out bloodlines wiped out generations of people following the Gnesin rule. In the past six months, his wealth had started to deplete.

Dmitriy rarely saw him. Most of his communication was done via cell phone, and right now, it was starting to piss him off. Pulling out his cell phone, he made a response, demanding an audience with Gnesin, and once he did that, he waited one single minute and was surprised not to get a response. There was not going to be any more killing until he talked to Gnesin himself. He was done making the Gnesin Bratva weak.
Larissa is different. Getting shot was a wakeup call, and there’s no way she could just turn around the clock and go back to life before. Her friend, or boyfriend, hadn’t stuck around. He had run away.

The only person who had been willing to save her was George or Big D!ck, or whatever he liked to be called.
He has one year to get Larissa in his bed.
Until the truth comes out, and Larissa learns that everything Big D!ck had been saying and doing to her was just to win some kind of stupid bet. Heartbroken and betrayed, Larissa refuses to talk to Big D!ck again.

He made a mistake. He didn’t intend to fall in love with Larissa, and seeing her hurt is killing him. He’s the only one responsible.
But, he gets a second chance, and this time, he is not going to do blow it.

The only problem is, he took his eye off the ball and the enemy is now closing in. They are known for breaking the rules, and Big D!ck is going to need to make a choice. Protect his club, or save the woman he loves. Where will his loyalties fall?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

Several Months After Harlow’s Wedding

“Andrew seems like a nice boy.”

Larissa Adams smiled at her father’s rather veiled interest. “Yeah, he’s nice.”

“He kept coming to see you in the hospital,” Jonah said.

“Dad, stop, okay?”

“What? He was worried. As you know, we were all worried.”

Larissa took a deep breath, but she wasn’t angry at her father. She knew he was worried about her. Ever since she had gotten hit by stray bullets a few months ago, he’d been worried. For a short time, he hadn’t wanted her to go to work, and had even asked her to consider her position around the Hell’s Bastards MC. She was aware of Smokey paying him a visit, but she didn’t know what went down between the two.

She understood why her father was afraid. She’d been working, minding her own business, when the chaos had started, and it hadn’t even been directed at her, but at Hailey’s Beauty Parlor. They’d been the target. Not her. She had gotten hit by stray bullets.

The trouble was, Larissa loved her job working for Ava. With Ava on maternity leave, Larissa had total control over what happened at the shop. Larissa knew she was different. It wasn’t even intentional. She’d changed.

Not many people knew what happened at the shop.

The shop had already been open when the bullets started to rain down. Andrew had been at the shop. He’d been asking her for a date and requesting they make their friendship something deeper.

George, or as he preferred to be called, Big Dick, had entered the shop and heard what Andrew said. He’d snorted. She heard it. She was not a woman who disliked people often, however, Big Dick was not exactly known for being nice.

“You know you’re not wanted here, right? The guys have had enough of your prissy fucking attitude. You think you’re better than us. The women don’t want you either, judging them because they want a good, hard fuck, and it doesn’t mean they have to be attached to a man. They’re not looking for forever, or rainbows, or fucking butterflies. Why don’t you take your holier-than-thou attitude and fuck off?”

The last time she had tried to be nice to George, because she refused to call him Big Dick, he’d just verbally attacked her. It was fine, she could take it. He didn’t like her. She knew in town there were a lot of people who were not fans of her. They didn’t like her smiling demeanor, nor the fact she was constantly wearing dresses or skirts. However, there were people that did like her as well. It didn’t matter.

She’d ignored George and had been about to accept Andrew’s dating proposal, when the bullets rang out. What shocked her was even as she got hit by the stray bullets, it was George who had jumped behind the counter and covered her. Andrew ran.

As George had pulled out a gun and started to retaliate, Andrew had run away. He’d looked at her, and she saw the fear in his eyes as he stared at her and then ran. He hadn’t stayed to help George or get her to the hospital.

She knew George had struggled with his decision. His sister had been attacked, but he’d not gone to the beauty parlor, he’d picked her up, gotten her into a car, and to the hospital. No one had asked how she got to the hospital, and she didn’t tell anyone. After she came out of surgery and was laid in that hospital bed, all she could see was Andrew, running away. He didn’t get hit.

Andrew came to the hospital as if he’d not even been in the shop when it happened. He brought her flowers. In front of her father, the nurses, and doctors, he acted like a concerned boyfriend. The moment the doors were closed, he begged her not to say anything. So, she hadn’t.

But there was no way she was ever going to be with him. Every time she looked at him, all she saw was him running away. He took one look back at her, and she was about to ask him to help, but he ran before she could even form the word on her lips. Instead, a guy who hated her guts had saved her.

George had pushed her down out of the way of the bullets, then protected her. When he realized she had gotten hit, he didn’t even hesitate. No expletive or complaint. He just picked her up like she weighed nothing and carried her out to a waiting car. She didn’t even know whose car it was. For all she knew, it could have been stolen. He got her to the hospital moments before Hailey had arrived. She’d been the one in surgery.

She’d been hit by three bullets—one to the abdomen, another to the shoulder, and as the impact hit her, it had also gone into her thigh. It was a miracle no major arteries were damaged. She had fully recovered and been home for quite some time now. All that remained were the few scars she saw every time she got naked.

Massimo Salvatore hates public functions. They’re a waste of time, and he has no interest in making friends within the Russo Mafia. He has his place, and no one is going to take it from him. The only reason he goes, is for one person. Adelina Ferri. She is funny, sweet, sexy, and she wears the worst clothes he has ever seen.

Adelina’s parents are embarrassed by her. They force her to wear clothes that are too large, and not at all flattering. However, soon it would all be over. She has learned that she is engaged to a man who has a history of hurting his wives. All of them are dead, and if she marries him, it will be a guaranteed death sentence.

When Massimo learns the truth, he cannot allow it to happen. Adelina is too kind, too good, to be allowed to be at the mercy of that … dick.

There is only one solution. He will marry her.

Her place is not as a Salvatore, and there are those in the Russo Mafia who will not let her forget it. However, when she is with Massimo, everything else fades. To everyone else, he is a monster, but to her, he is her savior.

He stopped her from dying. He has given her a future, but for how long. There is a traitor amongst the Russo mafia. One that is circling, intent on taking over. Massimo will not allow that to happen.

When his wife is taken, it is a race against the clock. But who is behind the threat, and will he make it in time?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

“You know that is an ugly-ass dress you’re wearing. Who the fuck picked that out?”

Adelina Ferri smiled. It was probably a strange response to someone criticizing your dress, but when it came to Massimo Salvatore, she knew there was no real malice to it. Maybe to anyone else, but not her.

She turned toward him and saw he was already holding a drink. Her glass was filled with water, as the waiters had been informed to only serve her water. She wasn’t allowed any food, wine, or anything that resembled fun.

“You don’t like the tent I’m wearing?” she asked.

“Tell me you didn’t choose that?”

She couldn’t help but smile. It was hard to pinpoint when exactly she had developed a friendship with this man. It could have possibly been because of their mutual dislike of fake functions, like the one they were at now. There was no real purpose for this party, just a lot of rich, wealthy, scary men coming together to revel in their reputations and egos. Oh, and daughters to be flaunted like cattle at a market. Only, her family considered her a true cow.

“No, I didn’t get the luxury of choosing this.”

Her family never allowed her to do anything, or choose anything. It was a miracle they allowed her to talk to Massimo, seeing as he was the Russo Mafia’s top monster. There was so much gossip and fear around this man. She knew men feared him, women wanted him, and of course feared him. There were times she wondered if she was defective, because she didn’t fear him.

“I believe congratulations are in order,” she said, offering him a smile. “I was told you’d recently snapped a man’s neck with your bare hands. Everyone seems impressed with the story.”

This was not the first time Massimo’s name had been used in some form or other about attacks on the enemy.

He didn’t smile. “Don’t believe everything you hear.”

She had a feeling there was more to that than he wanted her to know.

“This is fucking boring as shit, isn’t it?” he asked.

Once again, Adelina smiled. She couldn’t help it. Men were always cussing, but it was like Massimo always took it to the next level. There were some men in the Russo Mafia who didn’t cuss at all, like her father.

She turned toward the man himself, her father, who was currently hanging onto Diego Bruno’s every word. She tried not to shiver, but it was impossible.

“Are you cold?” he asked.

She turned toward the man beside her and shook her head. “No, I’m not cold.”

“Don’t you ever wonder if they get bored of the same old shit? It’s like fucking kill me now.” He took a long drink of his whiskey.

“Well, I might be in luck. This could be one of the few I get to attend.”

She saw the frown on his face.

“What?” he asked.

“Didn’t you hear the news? I’m engaged to be married to Diego Bruno, and you and I know I will be his eighth wife, right? I don’t think the rumors about him are fake. Wives and mistresses don’t last long. He’s got a lot of kills under his belt, and well, most of them are the women in his life.” She sighed.

Ever since her parents had informed her of the union, she had come to accept her fate. She was going to die. She probably wasn’t going to make it to her twenty-second birthday. It was a miracle her family hadn’t killed her already. She was one of the oldest daughters who was not yet married.

Her brother wasn’t much help. Her whole family was against her and considered her a burden.

Diego was a horrible man, cruel and manipulative, but her family was impressed by his title, his fortune, and everything associated with him. There was no getting away from it. She was trapped.

It was strange, she had expected to want to fight. Only, she was done fighting. The only real pleasure she got was at these boring parties where a lot of men preened and bragged about their latest conquest or title within war. Massimo was who she looked forward to. No one else. These little chats helped sustain her until the next one.

Diego’s wives never went to another function once they were married. Rumor had it, they tended to be too bruised and bloodied.

“What kind of fucking horseshit is that?” Massimo asked.

She turned toward him. “It is what it is. This is my fate, and like my family has said to me, what do I expect? I’m an embarrassment to them. I’m no great beauty.” She shrugged. “At least I know I won’t have to put up with it long.” She took a sip of her water. “I guess we should be finding a suitable excuse for you, or perhaps I can look for someone for you to talk to while I’m gone.” She started to look through the crowd, attempting to avoid the look her father was sending her. It was unfortunate, but there was no way she would be able to ignore her father.
After a life changing incident, Hawk Masters is back in his small town. He has to make changes to his life, the doctors have warned him that he wouldn’t make it if he had another heart attack.

It’s time for him to … relax, to rest, and to figure out what he wanted to do with the rest of his life. He was the owner of a multi-million dollar advertising company. He was the best one out there.

Now, he’s in Hope, the small town he didn’t want to come back to. There was nothing here for him, until he bumped into her, Katie Smith, now Katie Palmer. Now is his chance, and he’s not going to let it slip away.

Seven years ago, Katie lost her husband to cancer. He wanted her to move on, but there is no one for her, until Hawk walks back into her life. There is a spark. Katie didn’t know this but Hawk has wanted her since they were kids. But, he didn’t know how to handle it, and so, he said nothing.

There has not been anyone else since her husband, but Hawk, he is different. He makes her heart race, and every single day, she looks forward to seeing him. It doesn’t feel wrong falling in love. It doesn’t feel wrong being with him.

But what is going to happen when she falls pregnant? Will Hawk be able to handle being a dad, or was this all just for show to get what he wanted?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

Hawk Masters stepped out of his car and took a deep breath. He couldn’t believe he was back in his hometown. It had been seventeen years since he last came to Hope, a small, quaint tourist town that had somehow survived a hell of a lot of shit and was still standing.

This was no ghost town.

In a world full of technology, at times coming to Hope was like stepping back in time. Sure, they had all the modern conveniences and cell phones, Wi-Fi and all that, but you rarely saw anyone staring down at their cell phone.

Hope was where people came to get back to nature, to forget about all the bullshit waiting for them back home, and to just embrace life. This was why he was back here.

He never thought he would be back. It wasn’t like Hope was a bad place for him. He’d had a great childhood, and yes, he might have been a dick to a lot of people, but he had some good times.

“You’re already here,” Sarah, his sister, said, coming out of the large ranch house.

He forced a smile to his lips. Within seconds, he had to hold his stance, as his sister threw herself at him, and held him so damn tightly.

“It’s okay. It’s okay.”

“Okay?” Sarah asked. “Okay? Seriously. You nearly died, okay? Pushing yourself to the breaking point that you have a fucking heart attack!”

His life hadn’t been perfect. It turned out that stress was indeed ... deadly. Three months ago, he’d been living big. Owning a hugely successful advertising company, brands wanted him. His name was in high demand, and he’d turned his company into a multimillion-dollar success story. One of his teachers, many years ago, often said if he could sell bullshit, he’d make money on it.

Turns out that became a good selling tool. He could literally sell anything, and in less than twenty-four hours, once he got his hands on it, it would go viral and be a sellout. He had a gift. Only, owning a large company, being responsible for hundreds, if not thousands, of people had come at a cost.

That cost had been a bad heart attack—one that had the doctors looking grim, and forcing him to make some life changes. Living a jet-setting lifestyle, working twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, every single year, had taken a toll on his health. His heart was damaged and he was on medication.

But that would only do so much. He had to make the change of a lifetime. His parents had gotten the call, as his father was still the next of kin. They had been at the hospital, and it was decided he was coming back to Hope. His father had dealt with all the necessary arrangements for the company. Although his father had his own successful ranching business, Hawk didn’t know what his father could do.

However, the man took retirement seriously, and he knew exactly what to do to give Hawk the break he needed. Delegation. He had put someone else at the helm, someone he trusted.

None of them knew that for a short time, he had died on that table. The pain and fear had mingled into one. Hawk had known when he woke up and those memories hadn’t faded. That pain was something he would never forget. Changes needed to be made.

The horrible truth was, the only thing that defined him was his career. He didn’t have any hobbies. No lasting friendships. Everything was business. There was no wife, no kids.

He’d come back to his hometown and his family.

Sarah pulled back and sighed. “It is so good to see you.”

“How are the husband and kids?” he asked.

While he didn’t settle down, his sister married her childhood sweetheart when they were eighteen, straight out of high school. They now had three kids.

“Harry is great, and he will be stopping by later. He’s just dropping the kids off at school, and you know, doing whatever errand Dad wants him to.”

Sarah lived at another ranch, close to this one. It was one their parents had given her as a wedding present. Hawk had never been jealous. His sister loved Hope, and she loved Harry. He’d been there for the wedding.

He came to Hope for visits, for only a couple of hours, which was all the time he could spare. During holidays, he didn’t waste time. When he had a bolt of inspiration, he had no choice but to work. Work was his life.

“Great, I get to see the little devils,” Hawk said.

Sarah laughed. “Are your bags in the trunk?”

“Yep.”

She moved toward the back of his car and opened it up.

“Seriously, two suitcases?”

Hawk went to lean in to grab them, but she slapped his hands away.

“Hey, what the hell?”

“Do you seriously think I am going to let you do heavy lifting on my watch?”
When Astrid Sinclair was sixteen years old, she had her first encounter with Lord, the lone wolf who lived near No Wolves Road. He stopped her from getting run over, as she was so engrossed in her book. Lord was not a man anyone wanted to mess with. A grumpy, lonely wolf, with no pack.

But, he was also a man she couldn’t stop thinking about. That's why she answered his ad for a housekeeper and chose to work at his ranch.

Lord hated books. Yet, every day, he went to the library where Astrid worked. He needed a cook and a cleaner, and Astrid answered that ad. The job was hers.

He wasn’t good with people, but Astrid called to a part of him he didn’t know existed. Astrid was his, he was sure of it. One night, during the full moon, he went to her, and he couldn’t control his need. She gave her virginity to him, and in return, he called her a convenience.

Hurt. Betrayed. She tried to forget about him. She tried to build a life away from him, even as she continued to work. However, there were forces working to bring them together. Neither could fight it.

They were at the mercy of their needs. Would they be able to forget their past and fight for their future?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

“He’s one of the meanest sons of bitches you’ll ever meet.”

“I heard he eats humans for breakfast.”

“He’s pure evil.”

Astrid Sinclair tried to ignore the rumors and warnings as she made her way down the long driveway of Lord’s Ranch.

Living in No Wolves Road since she was born, she was used to wolves and the superstition. She recalled the first time she encountered Lord. She was about sixteen years old and was so focused on the book she’d been reading, that she hadn’t watched where she was going.

If it hadn’t been for Lord, she would probably already be dead. She hadn’t seen the truck heading her way, and she had stepped out on the road, and well, Lord had pulled her right out of the way. Banded an arm across her waist. Being on the larger side, and having most of the kids—both human and wolf—make fun of her at school, she was convinced no one would ever be able to lift her. Lord had done so easily.

Of course, he had then berated her, calling her a fucking idiot moron human, and a lot of other colorful words. Her family didn’t care what he called her, though. They’d been delightfully happy that he’d pulled her out of the way of oncoming traffic.

She’d never forgotten him.

Over the years, she had tried to learn as much about him as possible. So far, she had learned very little. He was a lonely wolf. No pack to speak of. No one had ever seen him with a woman. He’d not attended many functions in No Wolves Road, and he often kept his distance when he was in town.

There was nothing social about him, and that made everyone more suspicious. She didn’t mind him at all. In fact, ever since he had rescued her ten years ago, she had found herself falling, little by little, in love with Lord. It was a recipe for disaster.

He was a wolf.

She was a human.

There had been a few romances flare up in No Wolves Road, but they didn’t come without difficulty.

This had to be one of the biggest mistakes she had ever made, but at twenty-six years old, she had seen the job application and decided to sign up for it. Ever since she finished high school at eighteen and decided not to go to college, she’d worked at the local library. The only problem was, it didn’t pay a lot, and she still lived at home with her parents. This was a live-in position Lord was advertising, and she wanted it so badly she could taste it.

She loved her parents, but she was the only one living at home. Her two brothers were away, enjoying themselves. They had gone to college, one was some kind of investment banker, and another worked in advertising for a big firm. They kept their lives at No Wolves Road a secret. That was part of the rules.

Astrid never wanted to leave town. She loved it here. Sure, the wolves were mean, but then, so were people. No matter where she went, she would encounter the same kind of personalities but in different bodies. At least here was home, and she loved it. She loved being near the country and breathing in the fresh air. Also, the wolves that surrounded the town had vowed to protect it.

Humans and wolves lived in harmony, which was why she approached the fine-looking ranch house.

A lot of people in town had said he’d fixed the place up real nice, and the outside was beautiful. The outside was a nice cream color, and the window frames a dark brown. The roof no longer had any holes in it. Lord had spent a lot of time on the house.

“What the fuck are you doing on my property?”

She would recognize that voice anywhere. That day, ten years ago, when he berated her for being fucking stupid, his voice had been seared into her brain.

Glancing up at the porch, she saw him wiping his hands on a towel.

“Uh, I have an appointment.” She quickly cleared her throat because it sounded like she had a frog in her throat. She offered him a smile. “I’m Astrid Sinclair, we talked on the phone. You advertised a position for a live-in housekeeper.”

She hoped this was not some kind of prank. There was no one to tell she had a large crush on this man.

Astrid didn’t make friends easily, which is why she always had her head in a book, mainly romance books, because they were the best. As she got older, some of those books were more erotic in nature. Not that anyone would ever know that. She could read whatever the hell she liked using an e-reader, and no one would know, unless they read over her shoulder, which was just rude.

Lord stared at her, and she started to feel a little sick.
Knox works alone.

As a contract killer, he will do any job for the right price. However, that also means saving people. His current job is to keep a rich man alive, before his current wife kills him. Thankfully, his beautiful PA, Ava Martin, is happy to help him.

Three years ago, Ava found herself at the mercy of a serial murdering rapist. She would have been his next victim, until Knox saved her. She witnessed him kill a man, but she didn’t care. Knox would keep her alive, so long as she agreed to work for him. That day, Ava fell in love, and she’d been falling for this man ever since.

As for Knox, he couldn’t live without Ava. She had taken his empty world, and filled it with so much more.
But, he would not cross that line. Ava worked for him. That didn’t mean he wasn’t tempted.

Until, one day, he gave into temptation and finally claimed her virginity. He cannot stay away from Ava. He craves her. But, his greed will come at a price. Will he be willing to pay it to see his woman again?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

Knox Smith was exceedingly disappointed.

When he went to look for the man intent on hurting his beautiful personal assistant, he at least expected to find someone worth wanting. Instead, in less than ten minutes of being strapped to a chair and shown some rather lovely torture knives, he’d pissed himself. Begged for mercy and pleaded, offering anything he thought might be worth some value.

The man, known as Pete Carmichael, had a rather dubious reputation. There were a lot of complaints made by children that had been placed in his care, although none of the complaints were taken seriously. However, when Knox had read the report from his PA, Ava Martin, he knew he had to deal with this son of a bitch effectively.

He was a known bully, a piece of shit who liked to beat up, torture, and traumatize the kids in his care. It didn’t take long for him to find the names of the kids who had lodged complaints. Some of them were still alive, and thankfully, living their lives to the fullest. Others had taken their own lives. As for Ava, he knew her past had a lot to do with how she was now.

Knox was a killer. He was contracted to take lives and he worked for the highest bidder. He didn’t even have to work anymore, but he liked what he did. Most of the time, he killed bad guys. There were a few questionable kills and some he refused to do.

This kill, right now, was for pleasure. No one had asked him, he wanted to do it. After all, he had made it his mission to rid the world of anyone who had hurt his PA, and so far, it had been a pleasure to do exactly that.

The begging echoed around the room, and Knox knelt down so he was at eye level with Pete.

“Isn’t this what you did to all those kids in the barn?” Knox asked.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about. This is not me. Please, please, please let me go. I’ll do anything. Is it money you want? I’ll give you money. Stop, just stop.”

Knox tutted. “But they all begged, didn’t they, and what did you do?” He got to his feet and landed a blow to the stomach. The man grunted.

“You wouldn’t stop. Not until you were ready, because you’re the big man. You’re the one in charge.” He tutted. “Tell me, Pete, do you remember a young girl. Ava Martin?”

He crouched so he was at eye level once again, and looked Pete in the eye. He saw the moment the name hit recognition within him.

“You do, don’t you?”

“She’s a liar. She doesn’t know what she’s talking about.”

Knox got to his feet and removed his belt. “So, you didn’t hang her upside down, exactly like this, remove your belt, and whip her until she bled?”

Wrapping the leather around his fist, he hit out, striking the man’s flesh. He didn’t stop, not caring where he hit, only that he got flesh.

The screams filled the air, but Knox was bored. This man had tortured Ava for an entire day. It had gotten so bad, he ended up having a doctor come out, because her wounds had gotten infected. The same doctor who had already met his fate, as he lied on the reports, stating it wasn’t due to a beating. He didn’t report all the bruises and cuts. Everything had been a lie, and now the truth was known. The good doctor, to clear his own conscience, had two sets of files—the ones he was paid to write, and the other set displayed the truth. Knox had read the reports. He’d read Ava’s, along with a few other kids’.

Pete was well-respected, but by the time he was finished with him, there would be nothing there. All too soon, Knox was bored, and Pete was all but dead, so he set the course for the shed he had taken him to, to burn.

Stepping outside, he lit the match, tossed it on the ground where the gasoline was left, and watched as the flame caught. It was like a match made in heaven. Gasoline and a match. Caught together. Making one of the world’s deadliest weapons—fire.

He watched the shed burn and didn’t turn his back until it was fully incinerated, then he left his position, making his way back to the car. His cell phone started to ring on the way back, and he glanced down to see it was none other than his stunning PA, Ava Martin. The temptation to cancel the call was strong, because he knew it pissed her off, but he answered.

This latest mission had taken him away from her the past week, leaving her to deal with a few of his clients.

“Hello,” he said.

“Knox, your phone has been ringing off the hook. Blondie One said she has changed her mind and doesn’t want you to kill her husband. She will not stop calling and wants to see you immediately. The second, Blondie’s husband, said he would like to see you when he gets back. Am I okay to give him the steak and potatoes?” Ava asked.
Crow loved the open road. He was not the settling down type. However, five years ago, a young girl ran right into him with fear in her eyes.

Kelley Rade was trying to escape. Her mother had sold her to some traffickers who were intent to sell her because she had her virginity intact. They were hot on her tail. Until, she bumped into a very angry looking biker.

He didn’t like bullies, and killing the men was easy. Now, he had to take responsibility for her. Seeing as the club he was with had decided to settle down, he put Kelley in her own home, and made sure the guys looked out for her.

For the last five years, he’d been checking in on her. Kelley was no longer a little kid. She was all woman.

She had fallen in love with Crow five years ago, and she didn’t know what she could do to get him to notice her.
Until one night, he finally did.

He was drawn to the open road, but it had started to lose its appeal. He no longer wanted the cold hard loneliness of freedom. He wanted his woman. He wanted somewhere warm and a place to finally call his own.

Would he take the chance this Christmas with a woman that had worked her way into his heart?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Prologue

Crow took a long inhale on his cigarette, staring up at the night sky. It was a cold one, that was for sure. It was fucking freezing, but he’d rather be outside than in the bar. There was only so much love he could see before it made him sick.

This is why he wanted to stay on the road. He was not packing in his nomad tag, nor was he looking for a piece of pussy to settle down with. Rebel and Brick had the settling-down gene, not him. Admittedly, they had two amazing women worth settling down for. Crow would be a patch for life and part of The Rebels MC until the day he died. He would die serving his club. There was nothing else he wanted to do. Just ride the open road and never stop.

Blowing out a long line of smoke, he stared straight ahead and just enjoyed the freedom and peace of being outside. This is what he loved.

He didn’t give a fuck that Christmas music was playing in the distance, or that some of the guys were seriously considering finding a place to call home, and to pack up life on the road. For him, that was never going to happen. Riding was in his blood. It was what he lived for. There was no way in hell he was going to get a nine-to-five job, settle down, have a couple of kids. He had yet to meet a woman who was even worth considering that shit.

In his experience, the settling-down kind of women were rare. He knew the women that jumped from bed to bed, looking for a good time and a little adventure. He liked to fuck that kind of pussy, but committing to it was a fool’s joke.

Taking another long draw of his cigarette, to which he was nearing the butt, he threw it on the ground and stomped it into the snow. Just as he turned his back, he heard the little feminine scream. It was faint, but he heard it. He also heard heavy footfalls and a masculine scream.

Crow didn’t have to wait too long, as something small crashed into him. He was able to stop them both from falling to the ground, but he didn’t have a lot of time to prepare, as their company suddenly showed up—two guys, covered in ink, but not wearing a single patch. He knew the kind, though. Traffickers. He’d met a few of them on his travels. Pieces of shit that stole men, women, and children from the street, hoping to sell them to the highest bidder. He had a heavy suspicion the young girl that had literally run into him was one of their targets.

“We don’t want no trouble,” one guy said.

Crow looked between them.

“We just want the girl,” the other guy said.

Crow knew he made them uneasy. He made a lot of people uneasy. For as long as he could remember, he had been scaring people. He was a large baby, grew into a big toddler, an even bigger kid, and by the time he was eighteen, he already looked like a full-grown man.

Now, with years of training, he’d become an all-around badass who rarely got his ass whooped. He loved scaring people. Fucking lived for it.

“That her name? Girl?” he asked.

They were not going to come any closer, and Crow looked down at the girl. She had a black eye, split lip, and she was young. He would put money on her being younger than eighteen.

“You know these men?” he asked.

“Please,” she said. “Help me. I didn’t do anything wrong.”

Crow was used to staring women in the eyes and seeing nothing but lies. This girl wasn’t lying. She was terrified. This was no act. Her whole body shook from fear. She didn’t want to go with those men. This was not good.

Crow knew he had a decision to make, and it had to be soon. He could throw her to the men, and job done. Finished. He didn’t need to think about it. This was not his problem. But he looked into those brown eyes, and it was like she knew he was considering not helping her. This girl, whoever she was, had been let down in her short life. She was giving up, right before his eyes. The fear and panic were fading into acceptance.

“What’s your name?” he asked.

“Kelley Rade,” she said.

Her voice held a quiver to it.

“Tell me the girl’s name,” he said, calling out to the two men.

The two men looked at one another.

He tutted. “You mean to tell me you expect me to hand the girl over and you don’t even know her fucking name?”

He let her go and advanced toward the men. Crow didn’t know what came over him, just that an undeniable rage consumed him, and he wanted to spend that anger on these two men.
