Axel Beckers, hotshot, heartbreaker, Kayla’s first crush.
She’s never truly gotten over him, and now he’s back in her life.

Ten years ago, when Kayla was fifteen, her mom was married to Axel’s dad, professional race car driver and serial cheater. It was no surprise when things ended badly for their parents, like World War III badly.

Now all grown up and working at a magazine, Kayla takes on an assignment to interview Axel, who’s followed in his dad’s footsteps, professionally and personally. He’s an up-and-coming Indycar driver who’s also a regular feature on gossip sites. He’s got a different woman on his arm any time he’s not behind the wheel.
Kayla hopes that seeing him again will break the hold Axel unknowingly has on her.

But things don’t go as planned.
There’s a stumble and a kiss, and both of them want more, even though it’s wrong for so many reasons.
Kayla is determined not to risk her heart on a playboy like Axel…but can she resist him? He’s used to getting what he wants, and what he wants is Kayla.

SPEED is a stepbrother romance novella with no cliffhangers, and a very satisfying happy ending

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

PROLOGUE - 10 YEARS EARLIER

KAYLA

The phone rang in the hall downstairs and I paused to listen. I heard my mom answer, and when she didn't call me, I went back to painting my nails. My bedroom door was open, so I could hear the murmur of my mom's voice. As I slowed to carefully brush pale green polish onto my pinkie nail, she became louder and her tone was suddenly harsh. She told the person on the line never to call again, and there was a bang right before she yelled my stepfather's name.

My entire body tensed as I paused and waited. A few seconds later, I heard something smash, and Alexander, my stepfather, raised his voice in response.

I capped the polish and walked softly to my door to eavesdrop. I wanted to go to my mom, to try to calm her down and make sure she was safe, but I'd done that when they'd fought two weeks ago, and she'd told me to stay away.

Alexander was speaking to my mom about mistakes and misunderstandings. I could tell he was trying to charm her, and I'd heard him say some of these same things during their last fight. My mom did not sound like she would be soothed by him this time. There was another loud crash; something shattered on the hard tile floor.

I looked down the hall toward my stepbrother's room. His door was closed, as usual, and in the few brief moments of quiet, I could hear that he had music playing. It was Green Day, something angry, and probably was a clue to his mood. I took a deep breath and decided that risking Axel's irritation would be better than being alone. I tapped softly at his door, timing my knocks to the yells coming up from downstairs.

"What?" His deep voice came through the door.

I didn't want to speak up, didn't want to risk my mom hearing me, though she wasn't acting like she even remembered that Axel and I were home. I knocked again, and this time heard my stepbrother lower the volume of his music and move across the room.

"Can I come in?" I whispered.

His door opened, and then he was in front of me, all tight muscles and messed up hair. He looked toward the stairs, listened to the escalating argument for a moment, and then looked at me.

"I'm sorry. Can I just come in for a while?" I said.

He didn't answer, but moved back, allowing me to enter, and then he pushed the door behind me, though I noticed he didn't close it all the way. Axel's room was big. Mine was too. The house had been Alexander's before my mom married him, and it was kind of a mansion. Alexander was a race car driver, and apparently did well for himself. He also had a lot of adoring fans, which was probably the cause of the fight going on right now.

I glanced around at Axel's mess. Computer, books, heavy boots and shoes strewn across the floor, dark clothes piled everywhere. His rumpled bed was mostly clear, but I couldn't imagine sitting where he slept, so I pushed some things aside and made a small space for myself on one of his chairs.

"How's your nose?" I asked.

Still standing, looking slightly wary, he reached up and ran his thumb down the length of it, then he shrugged. "It's fine."

He'd broken it several weeks ago while racing a dirt bike. He raced whatever type of vehicle he could get his hands on, and it was clear he'd be following in his dad's footsteps. He hadn't been allowed to race while his nose was recovering, and the restriction had made him moodier than usual.
I wanted a little taste of danger, but three sexy bikers are a whole mouthwatering feast.
One massive party. Hundreds of bikers. One broken rule: No bloodshed.

The night started off with leather, tattoos, motor oil and muscles, but a little shameless fun with three tough, sexy men from the Screaming Eagles MC ended with one person dead, another in critical condition, and me running for my life. Now I’m locked inside the walls of their compound with the murder weapon in my purse, surrounded by dangerous bikers eager for revenge.
The only thing I know for sure is that someone set me up, and if it gets out that my father’s an enforcer in the Devil’s Brigade MC, it could spark a war. I don’t think he did it, but maybe I’m just naive. I didn’t even know about his second life until Mom died last year.
Now I understand why she kept me away. Every day brings new temptations that make it hard to remember why trusting men like them is a bad idea, and resisting is even harder.
Mad Dog fights hard and plays harder, but a little spice makes the pleasure all the sweeter.
Rebel’s cool and calculating, unless he’s on top of me and control is the last thing on his mind.
Riptide lives up to his name. His passion is deep and dangerous, threatening to pull me under and leave me utterly drenched.
I’m a waitress, not a badass biker, and I can’t get out of this on my own. Luckily, with Rebel, Mad Dog and Riptide at my side, I won’t have to.
The Screaming Eagles are out for the blood of whoever shot one of their brothers, and I won’t be safe until we figure out who wants the blame pointed my way. At first this was all about their vengeance, but working together, it’ll be sweet revenge

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

MELODY

“So where’s my father, anyway?” I ask. “Was he going to meet me somewhere?”

It’s been an hour since we got to the rally, and I haven’t seen Dad anywhere. I’m sure he has better stuff to do than hang out with me, but it seems strange to finally be invited to a motorcycle event and he doesn’t even bother saying hi. Maybe it wouldn’t suck so much if I wasn’t stuck with the human version of a wet blanket.

Red shrugs. He’s staring down at his phone.

Ooookay. “You must have a better plan than me. I haven’t had a signal in ages.”

“Yeah, I guess.”

“Should we get drinks, or…?”

“Real fucking chatty, aren’t you?” he snaps. “Stay here, I need to go check on something and I don’t want to have to chase you down.”

“Cross my heart, hope to die.” If my fingers are crossed behind my back, that’s my business.

I wait all of thirty seconds after he’s out of sight before ducking between a tent selling handmade leather gear and another where the buzz of a tattoo gun competes with the distant rumble of motorcycles racing down the old landing strip. Freedom, finally! Time to explore.

The sound of the engines has always been nostalgic for me. It reminds me of hot summer nights with my window open, hearing Dad’s bike come down our street and knowing there’d be pancakes in the morning.

He was never the kind of father who showed up to soccer games or helped me with my homework, but he laughed a lot and Mom was happier when he was around. It took a while for me to understand that not everyone had a dad who missed stuff because he was in jail sometimes, or had uncles with names like Clutch.

It sounds bad, but until Mom died last year I thought he was just a good-natured deadbeat. It wasn’t until we talked about me taking over the house that I learned the truth about his second life as an enforcer for the Devil’s Brigade MC. If you ask me, the whole thing still sounds like something out of a TV show.

It’s hard not to gawk like a tourist at the rows and rows of motorcycles lined up on the cracked dirt and dried grass. I make my way around the grounds, feeling invisible in the crowd. I wasn’t sure what to wear to a biker rally, but it’s hard to go wrong with ripped jeans and a black T-shirt, knotted at my waist to show off a little skin. It’s more than a lot of the other girls here have on.

Crap.

Out of what must be hundreds of people here, I only know three of them, so of course one is coming my way. Uncle Clutch is talking with a tall man I’ve never met, even though he’s wearing a vest with a Devil’s Brigade patch.

I step to the side, turning my face away. A group of beefy men with back patches reading Riders of War are arguing loudly about motorcycles. It’s the perfect cover. I just ditched one babysitter and don’t want another one. Knowing my luck, he’ll ask me where Red is. I slip behind the noisy bikers, and let out a relieved breath when Uncle Clutch and the other guy continue past me without noticing.
She’s too young. Too reckless. And now she’s my wife.

Vanessa Baker is a temptation with a body made for seduction and secrets swirling in her violet eyes.
There’s no denying that she’s a stunning woman, but she’s a wild card.
Irresistible, unpredictable, and unexpected.
Exactly the kind of trouble I’ve vowed to stay away from.
So, imagine my shock when I wake up in the Bahamas with a ring on my finger and Vanessa in my bed—with no memory of how either got there.
She swears she had no choice. That marrying me was the only way to save herself from a dangerous deal she’d never agreed to.
And now I’m torn between protecting her and resenting her … doing the right thing and wishing I’d never met her.
I don’t trust easily. Not with my heart. Not with my son. And I definitely don’t trust her.
But I bring her home anyway—because her life is at risk. And even though she doesn’t deserve my protection, she has it.
Every day she’s here, charming my son, slipping past my walls, she reminds me of what love is supposed to feel like.
So, what happens when she doesn’t need me anymore … and I still want her anyway?

Please note: Secret Seduction is not a mafia romance. The book is a dark romance because of its content. Since dark romance can mean different things to different readers, please check the detailed content warnings on my website. Your mental health matters

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER 1

RHETT

“Fuck.”

I mutter under my breath, but Cade doesn’t miss it, even with the noise of the Rusty Spike’s Friday night crowd, and the honky-tonk song blaring about a pickup truck and a broken heart.

He fixes me with a look that says he won’t let it drop until I tell him what I just read on my phone.

I take a slug of beer and return the mug to the scarred table with enough force that some of the foam sloshes out.

That gets Boone’s attention. He’s been leaning back like he owns the saloon, one arm stretched along the back of the empty chair beside him, facing the crowd with that easy grin he gives too freely, especially to women.

Now, he turns toward me with a look that matches Cade’s. “What’s up?”

“The Morrison group canceled.”

Boone echoes my curse. “They give a reason?”

“They did.” My hand, resting on my thigh, curls into a fist reflexively. “Said they have no choice but to go with Elk Run.”

My brothers both narrow their eyes. Boone curses between his teeth. Cade’s response is quieter and meaner.

Our biggest repeat client, gone. Eight men, six nights in July, remote camp, high passes, backcountry fishing, private guided routes they’d trusted us with for three summers running.

Elk Run Outfitters had offered the same route for thirty percent less.

“That’s four clients in six months,” Cade says.

I glance over at him. “I can count.”

Boone shakes his head, disgusted. “Turner’s either desperate or stupid.”

“He’s deliberately bleeding us out,” Cade says.

Boone scoffs. “You’re being paranoid.”

I look from one brother to the other. Same face, same dark hair, same broad frame taking up too much space at the four-top table. Same eyes I see in the mirror every morning. The ones our mother once said could make innocent people confess to crimes they didn’t commit.

But Cade’s expression is flat, while Boone’s wearing a smile like a welcome mat in front of a locked door.

And me? I’m expected to know what comes next.

I was born first by four whole minutes, and our family never let me forget it. The Army hadn’t either.

I take another drink of beer, mostly to buy time.

Cade thinks Harlan Turner, who owns Elk Run Outfitters, is deliberately trying to choke our business out of the high-country routes by consistently undercutting our rates. Boone thinks Cade’s seeing patterns because that’s what Cade does.

I think they’re both right, but I don’t say it out loud, because that would mean deciding what to do about it. Right now, I don’t have an answer that doesn’t involve risk and money we can’t afford to lose.

I turn my mug a quarter circle in its puddle of condensation, as I half-listen to Boone say things like temporary rate adjustment and client retention strategy.

“We lower by fifteen percent,” Boone says, tipping his beer toward me. “Make it clear it’s for repeat clients only.”

Cade doesn’t look up from the water ring he’s tracing with his thumb. “Turner will undercut that, too.”

“He might,” Boone says.

“He will.”

Boone gives him a lazy smile. “You know, Cade, sometimes people make bad business decisions. Not every man in Moon Ridge is trying to start a war with you.”

Around us, the bar keeps pressing in. Boots on old plank floors, chairs scraping, so much chatter. It should be easy to tune out after years spent sleeping through mortars, firefights, engines, and Boone snoring like a wounded bear. Tonight, I can’t think.

Then the bartender gestures toward our table, and I notice, because I’m always aware of my surroundings. I notice entry points and exits, I see fights before they start, and I watch for people who look lost, angry, drunk, or dangerous.

The woman following the line of the bartender’s hand is none of those things.

And for one clean second, I forget about Harlan Turner, lost clients, and the bills waiting on my desk at home.

The woman isn’t from Moon Ridge, but she doesn’t look out of place.

Most visitors who come into the Rusty Spike for the first time hesitate inside the door as they take in the old timber beams, the antlers over the bar, and the framed historical pictures that cover nearly all the available wall space. Out-of-towners usually look like deer in headlights as the locals glance up collectively to take their measure.

The copper-haired woman coming our way moves confidently, head up.

She’s late twenties, probably. Maybe five-six in her dusty boots. Curvy in a way that makes my hand tighten around my beer mug. Her rounded hips fill out a pair of worn field pants, and her green jacket is open over a fitted dark shirt.

Her skin has a natural warmth, the kind that comes from time outdoors.

Pretty isn’t the right word, because that sounds decorative.

She has a canvas bag slung over her shoulder and is striding toward us with purpose. My body responds to her with an irritating immediacy, but I’m not the only one.
One wild night between two rugged cowboys… which one has put a baby in me?

Brookes and Mason Caldwell are cowboys who ride hard, fight harder, and take what they want. I should’ve known better. But I wanted one impulsive, filthy, mind-altering night with Mason’s mouth on my neck and Brookes watching from the shadows like he couldn’t decide whether to join, or just make me beg.

When they find out what’s growing in my belly, they insist I move to their ranch.

They say it doesn’t matter whose baby it is. That I belong to them. That they’ll share.

But the idea of a life with two men like them? It’s reckless. Impossible.

They want me between them, held open, keeping them warm in the most intimate ways, and dripping with everything they’re willing to give.

They like to edge me, watch me beg, and make me fall apart over and over again.

The way they are should terrify me, but I can’t stop thinking about what it feels like with both of them around me, inside me, owning me.

But can a girl like me really fit between two rough ranchers with darker needs, and build a family that was never supposed to be?

In Rockwell Ridge, scandals don’t stay secret for long. Will the truth break us… or bind us together for good?

Hold on to your horse, because this kinky, forbidden, fast-burn, cowboy menage romance features a secret baby, found family, and two brothers who want to keep one woman full and on the edge

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter 1

Janey

Spending an entire evening trying to avoid staring at Brookes and Mason Fletcher would be easier if they didn’t make it so hard to look anywhere else.

We’re at a first birthday party, for heaven's sake. Not a bar or a club where ogling members of the opposite sex is expected.

And there has definitely been ogling in both directions.

The party wound down, with most of the other guests hitting the road, but not Brookes and Mason. They sit on their cousins’ porch swing, sipping beer like the whole wide stretch of sprawling land and open night air was built around them.

Mason leans back with one arm stretched along the backrest, his posture loose in a way that still manages to feel deliberate. Brookes sits beside him, his body more contained, his weight angled slightly forward, his attention sharper.

Two brothers. Same blood. Totally different gravity.

And I’m drawn to both.

I lean against the doorway, transfixed in a way I haven’t been over a member of the opposite sex in far too long.

Mason draws the eye first. His shirt pulls across his chest when he shifts, the fabric stretched, hinting at the thick, solid muscle underneath. The sleeves strain slightly at his upper arms, exposing sun-browned skin and a faded line of ink curling and disappearing beneath the fabric. His forearm rests along the back of the swing, strong and marked, with a pale scar cutting across it. His fingers flex idly, as if he's always half a second away from doing something with them.

Something filthy and amazing, probably. Or tough. He looks like the kind of man who could wring the neck of a wild beast or a violent man without breaking a sweat.

My gaze lingers on him longer than it should. Longer than I mean it to.

Brookes is different. He’s quieter in a way that makes him harder to read and, somehow, harder to look away from once I start. Where Mason spreads his arms and legs wide to take up space, Brookes seems to hold himself in, like everything about him is controlled. His sleeves are rolled as well, though the muscle there is leaner and more defined; the kind that’s formed by repetition rather than force. There’s a small, almost hidden mark at his wrist, ink that disappears when his hand shifts, subtle enough that it feels private. His hands rest loosely in his lap, though there is nothing soft about them. They look as capable, rough, and familiar with work as his brother’s.

I’m ogling.

Again.

Heat creeps up the back of my neck as I drag my gaze away, suddenly very aware of myself in a way I have been all night. Of how I must look. Of how I must seem.

Eager, probably. Hungry. Shameless.

Desperate to be grabbed by those hands and held down. Made to do things I really want to do, even though I’d pretend otherwise.

This is ridiculous.

I'm not a teenager. I don’t lose my composure over a couple of men who must be at least a decade older than me. I might be young, but I have a good head on my shoulders and a set of boundaries that keep me away from temptation and danger.

My eyes flick back anyway.

Mason shifts, dragging his boot across the porch floor, the movement slow and unhurried, pulling the denim of his jeans tight across his thighs, and the ease of it sends a small, unwelcome ripple through me. It’s his confidence. The complete lack of self-consciousness, as though he knows exactly who and what he is and has never once questioned it.

Brookes glances toward the house, and for half a second, our eyes almost meet. I look away before they do, my pulse picking up for no good reason.

Except there is a reason.

It sits low in my stomach, warm and restless, spreading slowly the longer I stand here pretending I'm unaffected and in control.

I shift my weight, pressing my thighs together slightly, as if that might ease the ache.

It doesn’t.

If anything, it makes me more aware of it. I’m warm and swollen down there, and maybe a little slick from all my filthy cowboy-centered fantasies.

Which is… deeply inconvenient.

I draw in a quiet breath, trying to center myself, though my attention drifts back out to the porch like it has a mind of its own.

Two brothers. Two rugged, older, imposing ranchers.

A very bad idea waiting to happen.

The worst part is how little that thought deters me.

“Earth to Janey.”

I jump, turning back into the kitchen to find my best friend Joelle watching me with a knowing expression, “Sorry,” I say. “I didn’t hear you come in. It’s been a long day.”

“Mm-hmm.” Her tone carries enough skepticism to make my face warm. “You planning on going to bed anytime soon, or are you going to keep pretending you aren’t interested in those two hunks of men out there?”
I paid a gang of ruthless bikers to keep me safe… then begged them to ruin me.

I love the stage, but getting famous is my mother’s dream, not mine. She shoves me into the spotlight and spends money we don’t have while I smile and obey. When an indie project I’m in goes viral, my big break comes with a dark side. Anonymous messages threaten my life, and to expose the truth about the blood-soaked night my half-brother Axel died.

Terrified, I turn to the one person who knows my Axel’s best friend. But he’s not the boy I remember. He’s Priest, a dangerous criminal and sworn member of the notorious Outlaw Sons MC. Together with his brothers-in-arms, Sinner and Colt, he offers to keep me safe. For a price.

But when my new bodyguards are three bossy, inked-up bikers, the line between business and pleasure gets blurry, fast.

When Priest looks at me, he still sees his best friend’s little sister… until his dark eyes start burning with something far more wicked.
Colt is a predator, deadly and suspicious, but once I earn his trust, he’s eager to devour every soft, warm inch of flesh I have to offer.
And Sinner, prison-hardened and fiercely protective, makes it clear no one else will ever touch what’s theirs.

For the first time I know what it feels like to have people who really care at my back, and I don’t want to give them up, even if that choice could cost me my career.

People call them monsters, but they’re my strongest defenders in a world where success has turned into a curse, and the ghosts of the past are back to haunt me

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

Chapter 1 - Quinn

A heavy dance beat thrums through the nightclub, the low lights pulsing in time with it. The air is oppressively thick with the scents of people, booze, and the purple haze from the smoke machines. I can count the number of times I’ve been clubbing on one hand, and the last time I was here was almost a year ago when we were shooting. Back then it was called Starburst, but after Saving the World: 101 took off, they decided to ride the wave of publicity and changed the name to Inferno like in the show. Tonight we’re back as part of the promotion to celebrate getting picked up by a major streaming network.

“You must be dying in that outfit,” Erika whispers.

A drop of sweat runs down the back of my neck and under the collar of my tight leather jacket. “You have no idea. Want to trade?”

Desdemona, my character, is a half-demon college student. Inferno was a demon-owned club in the show, so whenever I was there I was dressed head to toe in tight black leather with chunky platform boots. Erika’s luckier tonight. She’s my co-star, and her character Gloria is part angel, so she’s wearing a light flowy dress with her gorgeous halo of dark curls pulled up high with strands of metallic gold filigree.

Her eyes sparkle as she laughs. “Not on your life. Are you good here? I think I should go rescue Toby before the photos.”

Toby sends us a desperate look from near the dance floor where he’s been cornered by several fans. In the show, Toby’s werewolf family is a biker gang called The Wild Things, so there are plenty of bikers, demons and the occasional angel wandering around in the crowd.

“Go on, get your boy.”

“He’s not my boy!” she hisses under her breath.

Toby plays Erika’s werewolf love interest in the show, and there’ve been bets going all year among the cast about when they’re finally going to get together for real. I might tease her, but I never joined the bets because I know she actually likes him. She’s just afraid the relationship would be doomed if the public found out.

As soon as she’s gone, a slender guy with glasses and a ponytail slides into her place. “Hey, I’m Keith. Do you have a second?”

“Hi Keith.” I smile, frantically trying to remember if I know him or not. Something about him seems familiar.

“I run a fan community for the book series. Maybe you’ve heard of it?”

“Saving the Blog! Of course, yeah!”

His face lights up. “I read that you know the books, but I wasn’t sure if it was true or just something you said, you know?”

“Hah, I wish. I was actually embarrassingly obsessed with them in high school. You should’ve seen me when Tamika was around. I fangirled hard. Like, the actual author? For real? So what’s your question?”

“Okay, um… So, in episode four, when the zombie rats are blocking the way into the access tunnel under the library, in the books, Des reveals her demonic animal affinity for the first time, but in the show, you just slash through them with your scythe. Do you know if they’re planning on cutting that ability out? Because it’s a big part of—”

“The third book, yeah I know. It was a budget thing. Nobody was sure if the show would do well enough to get a second season let alone a third so they tried to cut out magic effects unless they were really important. The scriptwriters worked directly with Tamika and she signed off on any big plot changes so I’m sure they’ll figure it out if we make it that far into the story.”

“Sorry! We have to steal Quinn,” Toby says, interrupting with a hand on my elbow. “Time to work.”

“Nice to meet you, Keith,” I call as my co-stars guide me away.

The next half hour goes by in a blur of photos and autographs, including one with Keith and the three of us. By the time we stop for a break, I’m dying for something to drink and half wondering if I should look up the first signs of heatstroke. I break away from the group and head to the bar, my steps falling naturally in time with the thump thump thump of the music. Dizzying colored laser effects dance around the room in time with it.

I squeeze between a couple of the biker extras at the bar. They look good. Really good, actually. I don’t remember the set costumes looking quite so authentic up close, but these guys fill them out nicely. They have a lot of ink and some scary looking scars, and I can’t quite tell if it’s makeup, or if they were chosen because they already fit the part. Staring too hard seems rude.

“Are you guys as ready to get out of these clothes as I am?”
I came to this mountain town to keep my son safe—not to be claimed by three dangerous men.

I’m a widowed single mom running from secrets the Navy buried with my husband.
Moon Ridge was supposed to be a fresh start.
A quiet place where I could finally stop looking over my shoulder.

Then the fires start.
The men watching me aren’t strangers.
They’re the last ones who saw my husband alive.
I don’t know what they want from me.
But they’re the ones running toward the flames.

Three firefighters.
Former Navy SEALs.
Mountain men built for war and carrying ghosts as heavy as mine.

Buck is commanding and relentless.
He’s built to dominate danger—and me.

Weston has hungry eyes and a tempting touch.
He’s all warmth until someone threatens what’s his.

Calder is scarred, silent, and smoldering.
Beneath the surface, there’s a wildfire he barely keeps contained.

They close ranks and put us under their protection.
They swear nothing will touch us again.

I shouldn’t want them.
Not after losing my husband to that life.
And not times three.

Because every fire is a warning.
And the enemy hunting us knows exactly how to turn everything we love to ashes

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER 1

BUCK

The early morning air smells of wet ash and burned insulation when I step out of my truck. I wasn’t due in for another hour, but I couldn’t get back to sleep after the call came in.

Forced entry, the captain had said.

The old building was Moon Ridge’s original and only school many years ago, but has long been used for records and maintenance storage for the newer primary school facility across the street. Being opposite diagonally from the firehouse, I see the structure all the time, and it’s been quiet enough to blend into the scenery until now.

Today, it’s blackened on one side, the roofline partially collapsed. A faint haze lingers near the wreckage, the last residual heat rising off soaked debris after knockdown. Bright caution tape is strung around the perimeter.

The captain appears as I’m gathering my gear. “Pry marks on the rear door,” he says, in lieu of a greeting. “Nothing valuable inside. We thought kids at first, but something’s not right.”

I sling my bag over my shoulder. “Anyone inside?”

“It’s clear. Utilities cut. When we saw the cabinets, we held back overhaul in the file room.”

“Okay.”

“I’ll send an assist over.”

As the captain heads back to the station on foot, I start a slow 360. At the building’s rear entrance, fresh marks confirm the break-in, as reported. The metal of the door jamb is peeled outward in a clean arc. Someone brought a tool with them specifically for the purpose.

There are no obvious footprints near the threshold, where the snow was disturbed from suppression traffic, partially melted, then refrozen.

When Robbins arrives, the two of us head inside, where the damage is uneven. Some rooms are smoke-stained but otherwise unharmed. In the hallway leading to the records storage, the baseboards are marked with distinct low burn patterns. Charring crosses the floor in irregular paths, indicating a poured accelerant rather than an accidental electrical origin.

I crouch near one of the darkest areas, where the floor’s been cracked by the heat, and smell petroleum. As Robbins aims the flashlight, I mark the spot, photograph it, then pull a sample kit.

In the records room, several of the tall metal filing cabinets are still upright, though their paint is blistered and blackened. Most appear to be undisturbed by anything other than the fire, but a couple of them have drawers extended, as if they were opened before things burned.

Inside one of those open drawers, the hanging file rails have dropped, and clusters of folders are fused into charred masses.

“Personnel—active,” Robbins says, reading the taped label that remains at the top of the four-drawer cabinet. The partially melted label on the open drawer reads “M-R.” Near the back, there’s a sizable gap between the clusters of burned folders.

I take pictures, note my findings, and continue around the space until I come to a wheeled metal cart that’s empty except for a coating of soot and a single file folder, damp at the corners and crumpled, as if by someone’s fist. After documenting its appearance, I pick it up with a gloved hand.

The folder is empty, but its label sends ice down my spine.

Robbins shines the light directly on it. “Ramirez, Elena,” he reads. “Why does that name sound familiar?”

After a beat, I exhale. “New elementary school principal.”

The firefighter nods with recognition. “Maybe somebody’s trying to scare her.”

I collect the folder in an evidence bag without responding. From what I know of her, admittedly most of it secondhand, she doesn’t seem like the type to have made an enemy during the five short months she’s been in town.

Nothing about the fire patterns indicates this was done by a minor, especially one no older than middle school.

The captain calls to tell me a sheriff’s deputy is on the way, so Robbins and I make our way out front to meet him.

“Kids didn’t do this,” I tell him when I deliver a summary of our preliminary findings.

“You calling it arson?”

“Forced entry and pour-pattern indicators. I’m treating it as suspicious until lab confirms,” I say. “I’m still collecting samples. You’ll want to keep this secured as a crime scene.”

“I’ll notify the county investigator.”

Across the street, the school’s parking lot is beginning to fill with staff vehicles. As the deputy gets back in his car, I watch a compact SUV pull into the school’s lot, and it triggers a recent memory.

Three weeks ago, I had been leaving the station at the end of my shift when a black sedan with dark-tinted windows drove slowly past the school’s entrance. At the same time, Elena Ramirez and her son were walking out to the lot.

Even from a distance, I could see the moment she spotted the car. She stopped mid-step and went stiff. She pulled her son closer, then continued on at a faster pace.

I jogged over as the car rolled by, even though I’d been intentionally keeping my distance since finding out she was in Moon Ridge.
After being dumped at a strip club during my bachelorette party, I didn’t expect to be rescued by four hot-as-sin men who work there.

One moment, I’m staring at the gorgeous twin strippers up on stage. The next, I’m reading a devastating text from my fiancé. I moved across the country for that jerk, and now I have nowhere to go.
Then four men step in to dry my tears. They invite me to the house they share and take care of me. I should be mourning the end of my engagement, but instead I’m mesmerized by my new roommates. They strip me of my defenses and tease me with their incredible bodies.
Austin and Denver, the twin stripping sensations, have identical ripped physiques but opposite personalities. Tonio, the tall, dark, and handsome bartender, is working his way through business school. And Knox, the bouncer, is a mountain of a man whose quiet demeanor hides deep thoughts.
They’re all different, but united on one front: they’re in no hurry for me to leave. It sounds crazy, but I feel more at home with these men than I ever did with my ex. Being in their arms and in their beds awakens sensations and feelings I’ve never experienced. Soon the exhilaration turns into something more for all of us.
Then an unexpected opportunity for the twins threatens to separate the men I love. Can I find the strength to keep us all together?

STRIPTEASED is a steamy reverse harem romance with a happy ever after ending. It’s the first of the Roommates series of standalone novels with characters who continue to make appearances

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

Emma

“Are you having fun?” the curly-haired brunette across the table shouted.

Resisting the urge to tell the truth, I did my best to project my voice above the throb of the music. “Of course!” I didn’t think she heard me, but she gave me a thumbs-up sign. She seemed nice—too bad I couldn’t remember her name.

The women at the surrounding tables roared. On stage, a blond, good-looking man had just whipped off his breakaway pants, revealing the shiny red jockstrap he wore. Sonia, my future sister-in-law, called out, “Yeah, baby!” I couldn’t tell if she was really into this scene or just going through the motions since she was the hostess of my bachelorette party.

Okay, it was a bit awkward to watch nearly naked men with women I didn’t know, but it was still kind of Sonia to do this. We only met a week ago when my fiancé Clint and I left Pennsylvania to move to Tennessee. Our wedding was in two months right here in his hometown of Riverside. Clint had insisted that Sonia be my maid of honor, and it wasn’t like I knew anyone else here yet.

“Shake that thang,” shouted a woman from another table. I sipped my drink as I watched the stripper shake his, ahem, thang at the women nearest the stage. They responded by screaming and shoving money under the tiny elastic strap that held up the pouch in front.

Well, mostly held it up. He looked like he was seconds away from a wardrobe malfunction.

The final chords of the deafening music faded out, and before a lack-of-clothing-related disaster could strike, the spotlights on the stage turned off. There was a round of applause as the inebriated women realized his act was over. To my surprise, the cheering went on for quite some time and was gathering strength. In my opinion, the guy hadn’t been that good—not that I could talk. I couldn’t dance to save my life.

Then one of Sonia’s friends leaned over, the taller one whose name might have been Pam. “The headliners are up next—twin brothers. You won’t want to miss this.”

Ah. Judging from the whoops and screams coming from all around me, I was the only one in the room that hadn’t known that. This really wasn’t my scene, but then again, most crowds weren’t. But since Sonia had taken the time—at Clint’s urging—to arrange for a bachelorette party, I should do my best to seem like I was enjoying it.

I took a deep breath and plastered a smile on my face as I turned to look at the stage. I bit back a wince as the neckline of the black cocktail dress Sonia had lent me threatened to reveal more than it should. The dress definitely didn’t fit me as well as it did Sonia’s curvy, feminine figure. Though it was pretty, I’d spent half the night worrying that my breasts were going to spill out of the loose, low-cut neckline.

The lights were still low, and the women around me were drumming their hands on the table, clearly excited about the next act. The rhythmic thrumming was getting to me—or maybe it was the alcohol. Whatever it was, my pulse seemed to align with the pounding sound, and in spite of myself, I was curious about what was coming.

Then there was a loud whoop, like a cowboy sound, and the spotlights flashed on, aimed directly at the absolute sexiest men I’d ever seen in my entire life. My breath caught in my throat for reasons that had nothing to do with the tight dress, and then I muttered, “Holy shit,” at the same time one of Sonia’s friends said the same thing.

The two identical men were dressed in military fatigues, green camouflage complete with matching caps. They stood tall and strong, surveying the crowd as if they were real soldiers gearing up for a mission. The twins seemed oblivious to the screams and shouts surrounding them.

Good God, I’d never, ever seen men like that in person. They could’ve been movie stars. Rock stars. Hell, I’d vote for them for governor. Or president. Or supreme leader of the universe.

The men marched forward, their movements crisp and precise. The music had a drum cadence to it, and I half expected a drill sergeant to emerge and start to put them through their paces at any moment.

I’d like them to put me through my paces.

Where had that thought come from? It wasn’t like me to entertain thoughts like that, especially not about strange men. Hell, I didn’t even think things like that about Clint.

Then the men started to dance. Except dance was too tame of a word. Their rigid posture gave way to fluid movements of their hips, abs, torsos… suddenly they were rolling and snapping their bodies as if they had at least two times more joints than the average person.
Three sexy, feral bikers followed me home. Do I get to keep them?

I was fourteen when my parents died, fifteen when I put my trust in the wrong boy, and eighteen when all my mistakes came crashing down and nearly killed both me and my sister. Now I keep my head down and work at a canine rescue, because unlike people, dogs don’t judge or whisper behind your back. So when three growly members of the Screaming Eagles MC stomp in with a wounded stray and all my co-workers scatter, I stay put.

Their tough attitudes, foul mouths, and inked up skin don’t scare me. If you give them a chance, all most big dogs really want is good food, a long walk, and tummy rubs.

Turns out, that’s true for bikers, too.

I should tell them who I am, but it’s more fun not to. I should say no when they invite me out for a ride, but I’m tired of being good. I want to feel the wind in my hair and have a little fun, and they’re more than happy to help.

Beast and Piston are a deadly combo. Quick with their fists and fire in their blood. Beast’s beard is rough against my neck as he pulls my hair to the side and sends shivers down my spine with a throaty growl, while Piston sets a rhythm that makes my motor purr.

Zero keeps them steady. He watches quietly with dark promise in his eyes, and when he makes his move, I don’t stand a chance.

But when the stray’s owner shows up, it sets off warning bells. And when I start digging, I’m told to mind my own business. Yeah, right. I’m not good at doing what I’m told, especially if it means innocent animals might get hurt.

I just met these tough men, and getting me out of trouble isn’t their job, but just like dogs, when they love, they love unconditionally, and when someone they claim as their own is threatened, they go for the throat.

BAD GIRL FOR THE BIKERS is a motorcycle club reverse harem romance with a happy ever after ending. It's book 11 in the Screaming Eagles MC Series of standalone romances with characters who continue to make appearances

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

PISTON

There’s nothing like a fist to the face to get the blood pumping. I’d rather be the fist than the face, but it’s true either way.

I grin at Beast, my lips twisted by the mouth guard. Bring it on, asshole.

“Wrap it up, boys, I’m starving.” Zero shouts from behind the ropes. “Take ‘im the fuck out!”

Don, the gym owner, is hanging out next to him. “Who’re you rooting for?”

Zero laughs. “Whoever gets this done faster.”

Gotta love trash talk from the guy who lost in our first round. If I wasn’t wearing boxing gloves I’d flip him off. Beast smirks, dodging my jab before moving in faster than a guy his size should be able to. He lands a couple solid hits before I beat him back.

“Piston, keep your left up!” Don yells.

I adjust my stance, but it’s too late. We’ve been sparring for a while and Beast is on a rampage. I eventually fall back and lift an arm in defeat.

Beast claps a gloved fist on my shoulder and spits out his mouth guard. “Good fight. I told you you’d enjoy it. You’re going to wipe the ring with me in a couple months.”

“Yeah, maybe.” It feels strange to be fighting again, and even stranger to actually enjoy it.

When I was a stupid kid, it was about money and survival. The rings I grew up in might not have been to the death, but I’ve gone up against plenty of sadistic motherfuckers who thought me being young made me an easy target, and so long as it made for a good show, nobody cared. Being harder, faster and meaner was the only way to keep it from destroying me. The rules here are more complicated than just no killing and no weapons, but the rush is the same.

“He’s right,” Don agrees. “Your instincts are good. It’s starting to click.”

“As long as I can beat Zero.”

“You mammoths are in a different fucking weight class!” Zero snaps without much heat behind it as we head to the locker room. “I know what I’m good at.” He mimes lining up a shot and pulling the trigger. “You’ll never even make it to the ring.”

Beast snorts. “Whatever helps you sleep at night, man.”

We walk out with Don as he closes up the gym. He hesitates, hand on the lock.

“Something up?” Zero asks, keeping his voice low.

Don grimaces. “How much longer is this pissing match with Kozlov’s goons going to go on?”

“You looking to choose sides?” I ask.

He shakes his head, mouth a hard line. “I just want to stop jumping every time a car backfires. You know how it is. The Ditch has always been neutral ground and I like it that way. Don’t get me wrong, the Eagles have always been good neighbors, but you aren’t the only power in town. I have to walk a careful line, you know?”

“Pres won’t let it drag on. End of the summer, max,” Beast grunts. “We’ll do our best to keep the collateral damage to a minimum.”

Don looks tired, but he nods. “I hope so.”

His boxing gym operates out of what used to be a small factory in Detch; a strip of mostly industrial properties that stretches along a good length of South Side where the Screaming Eagles rule. It’s a gray, dreary part of town that locals call The Ditch, and functions more as a way from one place to another than as its own destination. It doesn’t get much attention, but is an important buffer zone between us and the gangs that operate to our north. Or at least it should be.

Tensions in the city have been high since the Screaming Eagles got mixed up in politics again. The kind that left a prominent judge dead and the rot in the core of the legal system exposed to the scrutiny of the media. Follow that up with being linked to the kidnapping of the daughter of a tech billionaire, and there’s a segment of the underbelly that’s hoping we’ve gotten too full of ourselves to bother paying attention to the streets.

It’ll be their funeral.

We won’t push the border just to grab more space, but to keep our own safe? In a fucking heartbeat.

What Kozlov doesn’t understand is that Eagle-eye, our president, isn’t in it for the money or the power. Blood, sweat and tears went into carving out our place here, and he’ll hold the line to his dying breath for the same reason we all will. To defend our family, both by birth and by choice.

As far as we’re concerned, Kozlov on his own isn’t shit. He’s just another wannabe mafia type who wouldn’t know the real thing if it bit him in the ass, but he talks a good game and he’s riled up some of the local gangs into thinking it’s a good time to strike.
Running for my life in my wedding gown, I’m rescued by three rugged mountain men.
I overhear my fiance’s dangerous secrets.
And all I can think about is protecting the baby growing inside me.

Fleeing in a snowstorm, I lose control on icy roads, and my world goes black.
When I wake, I’m surrounded by three massive men.
Older.
Battle-trained.
Carrying scars that tell stories without a word.

Former Marines. Brothers-in-arms.
They tell me I’m safe with them.
Hidden at their remote compound.

Atlas, quiet, commanding. Haunted by loss.
A smoldering fire ready to ignite.

Explosives expert Grizz.
Knows how to make me combust with a single touch.

Viper, elite marksman.
Watching me like he can’t decide whether to trust me or devour me.

They look at me like I’m the mission that matters most.
But nothing is certain.
Not when my powerful ex has a target on my back.

The one thing I know for sure?
My three mountain Marines will protect me with their lives.
And they’ll destroy anyone who tries to hurt me.

SAVED BY THE SILVER FOX MARINES is an age gap reverse harem romance featuring fiercely protective former military men, a curvy runaway bride, and high-stakes danger with a guaranteed happily ever after ending. It’s book 1 in the Military Mountain Men series of standalone romances with characters who continue to make appearances

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER 1

KIRA

The sky is heavy with storm clouds. Night is approaching, and what little light remains is fading fast.

I need to get where I’m going, but I don’t know where that is.

Away. Far, far away.

Thank god for Brianna’s full tank of gas.

It was already raining when I bolted to her car, and now that I’m climbing elevation, the rain is turning to snow.

It’s the first snow I’ve seen this year. It’s usually a magical moment, but today it’s another element of the nightmare I’m suddenly living in. A twisted sort of snowglobe someone is shaking with a violent hand, turning everything upside down.

You have two choices, Kira.

A car comes up behind me too fast, and my pulse spikes. My hands shake, even as I clutch the wheel like a lifeline. When the vehicle swerves into the left lane without using a signal, I hold my breath and don’t exhale until it passes and speeds ahead.

I exit at my next opportunity. Something tells me it will be safer to travel on back roads.

At the stop sign, I flip an imaginary coin. Should I go left or right? Which direction might lead me to safety?

I can’t imagine a best-case scenario, unless you count boarding a plane for the other side of the world, which would be difficult without money. No wallet, no credit cards. Not even my phone, and being without it would usually feel like I’m missing a limb, but even if I’d had time to grab it, I couldn’t risk it being used to track me.

I need somewhere to hide.

I turn left, where I pass a gas station, a fast food restaurant, and a few houses. After that, there's not much besides trees and open spaces, and I'm glad for the emptiness.

The route leads me higher into the mountains. Snow is sticking to the windshield. The temperature must be dropping because the inside of the window is fogging up.

My wedding dress, still damp from the sprint across the mansion’s parking lot, is like ice against my skin, no matter how much heat blasts from the vents.

My hands are numb, and I don’t know if that’s from the cold, my death grip on the steering wheel, or shock.

I’m shivering, bone deep.

I make another turn, and the road narrows. Guardrails appear through a curtain of white, then disappear into darkness. Trees are crowded close. No more streetlights, no houses, no other cars. Only the occasional reflection from a marker post caught in my headlights.

Up here in the mountains, this clearly isn’t the first time they’ve seen flurries this season. Plow-packed snowbanks, solid with ice and gravel, line the road. At first, they help me follow the route, but the snow keeps coming down thicker with each mile that passes. It clings to the road in slick patches, making every curve a gamble.

Wind pushes against me in violent gusts. I ease my foot off the gas, but I’m too panicked to slow down as much as I should in this weather.

“We’re okay. We’re okay. We’re going to be okay.”

The snowstorm doesn’t listen.

I’m facing a white wall. Zero visibility. Every muscle in my body is tight and aching. My heart is hammering so loudly the sound seems to fill the car.

As I’m navigating the next curve, the front tire slips down onto the shoulder. I panic, cut the wheel too sharply to get back on the road, and the car fishtails. I turn the wheel again, and suddenly, I’m spinning sideways, out of control.

The car skids off the road. For one sickening moment, I’m airborne, and a scream rips out of my throat.

I hit the ground with a thud. Metal crunches and glass shatters. Everything jolts forward.

My vision blurs as my hands slip from the wheel.

A sharp pain hits below my chest. Then a deeper pain, lower.

The world tilts with another shake of the snowglobe that’s my personal hell.

Wind howls, and my breath fogs the air as consciousness slips.

Please.

Please save the baby.

CHAPTER 2

ATLAS

“We should’ve finished an hour earlier.” Grizz growls the words from the backseat like his namesake bruin.

Eyes scanning left and right in the scope of my low beams, Viper keeps watch from the passenger seat as the snow falls in thick sheets. “The whole meeting should’ve been a fucking email.”

I exchange a look with Grizz in the mirror. Viper gets restless anytime he’s out of the mountains, especially when meetings run long. Both of them do.

While I took notes about the threatening messages our new client’s been receiving, Grizz’s heavy boot tapped an impatient rhythm on the meeting room floor, and Viper sat like a statue, arms crossed, only his jaw twitching occasionally beneath his beard as his eyes swept the front of the property through the conference room window.

I saw the clouds coming, but didn’t want to cut things short. “The truck is well-equipped for the storm.”
#1 New Release in Western & Frontier Romance eBooks
When our stepsister shows up at our ranch—broke, exhausted, and nursing a secret only capable hands and mouths can soothe—we never expected she’d be the one to satisfy a thirst we’ve always hidden.
Joelle was our stepsister for a year before she and her mama left after our father’s passing. Back then, she was a quiet little thing, all big eyes and soft, uncertain smiles.
But the woman walking onto our ranch now? She’s a single mother with curves made to fit a cowboy’s grip.
She asks for the dust-bare basics. A room. A job. Some space to breathe.
What she doesn’t expect is two men ready to give her the whole damn world.
The second I get my hands on her, feel the weight of her need, catch the scent of milk clinging to her skin, and taste the sweet ache she’s hiding… I know I’m done for.
But I’m not the only one watching her like she’s the first rain after a drought.
My twin Caleb sees her, too, and we share everything.
Now, together, we want to claim, protect, and soothe every tender part of her she’s had to guard alone. Maybe even breed her, if she’s willing.
Previous generations built this ranch on sweat, cattle, and decades of grit—but for the first time, it feels like we could build a home; for her, for her boy, and for the family we were always meant to be.
Only one problem.
The boy’s daddy just rode back into town, mean-mouthed and looking to stake a claim he damn well never earned.
And if he thinks he’s taking Joelle or her baby away from us?
He’s about to learn how real cowboys protect what’s theirs.
Saddle up for a milky, forbidden, fast-burn, stepbrother cowboy ménage full of dirty devotion and the kind of surrender that satisfies more than just hunger

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter 1

Joelle

The road is so bumpy my bones are jangling, and the heat so violent the car smells like it’s melting. Even with the window open, there’s no relief. The air outside is just as heavy, filling my nostrils with the odor of sunbaked dirt.

My body’s sticky with sweat, but I can live with that. My dry mouth is another matter. I ran out of water two hours ago.

Worse, I’m close to leaking from the left side. It’s always the left.

It’s been over twelve hours since I last nursed.

I press my forearm tight across my chest and try to breathe through it, but there’s no ignoring the ache. I feel swollen, overripe, and raw, under the kind of pressure that makes my hands shake and my throat close up. I want to cry. Or scream. Maybe both.

You’re doing this for a reason, I remind myself. You’ve got to let it dry up. It’s time.

Caleb—my son, not one of the men I’m about to see—is with Janey today. Sweet, long-suffering Janey, who took us in when I had nowhere else to go and never once made me feel like the burden I’ve become. She helped me through the end of my pregnancy, the mess of those first few months, all the nights I thought I’d break from exhaustion. She gave us everything without asking for anything in return.

But people have limits, and I’m close to reaching hers. I need to find somewhere else to go before she asks me to leave.

She hugged me goodbye early this morning, her arms tight around my shoulders, whispering that I was stronger than I thought. Caleb clung to me, fat little fingers fisted in my shirt, and I had to swallow the lump in my throat not to fall apart right there. I kissed his blond curls and told him I’d be back soon.

God, I hope I will.

Grayswood ranch rises out of the dry land like it was always part of it. The weathered siding, wide porch, and warped screen door I remember slamming shut when I was a teenager at the end of my patience are all the same. It’s still isolated, still quiet, and too far from anything that feels like real life. It’s the kind of place you forget how to leave once you’ve been there long enough and I’m not sure if that’s a good thing or terrifying.

I lived here for a while, back when Mom married Clay. I was fourteen. The twins, Wade and Caleb, were already grown, and barely acknowledged us beyond cold nods and long silences. They hated Mom. I knew that. I don’t think Wade ever looked at me long enough to decide what he thought of me. Caleb was sweeter, but always busy with the ranch. I was a kid who tagged along with a marriage they wished didn’t exist.

When I left, I’m sure they never expected to see me again, and I never planned on returning.

But plans don’t mean much when you’re clean out of options.

The ad was short: Live-in housekeeper. Remote cattle ranch. Room and board included. Cooking and housekeeping. Some ranch chores. No timewasters.

No names. No website. Just a phone number and an address I recognized. I called out of desperation and the voice that answered was low and unmistakably familiar, saying to come around three. Said they’d see how I fit.

Now here I am, about to step back into a world that I thought would always be an uncomfortable memory.

I pull the car into the gravel drive and shut off the engine, heart beating loud in the silence. My hands tremble on the steering wheel. My shirt’s soaked through at my back, and I don’t have long before I’ll be leaking through at the front. I reach for a tissue but find the box empty and I don’t dare look down because I don’t have a choice but to get out of this car and go inside.

I make my way to the porch, my heart hammering. The wood groans beneath my beat-up sandals, and for a moment, I stand there, fist raised, staring at the door like it might open itself.

There are so many reasons I should turn around and leave. When the Crosby brothers find out it’s me who’s looking for work, chances are they’re going to tell me to go. I hate that they’ll see how pathetic and desperate I am. But my son needs a place to live, and I’ll do anything for him. Anything. Including humiliating myself before two men who used to be my stepbrothers and are now strangers.

I knock.

The door opens almost instantly.

Wade stands in the doorway. I know it’s him from the arrogant tilt of his head and the way his gray eyes size me up in two seconds flat. For a moment, my breath just… stutters.
