Stopping on the dance floor might not be the best idea when a nearby couple spun by and knocked me off balance. I slammed into Slade, his arms went lax, giving me time to adjust then escape. Slade finally followed me off the floor to the bar. Slade came in around me; his arms circled my waist as his hard chest and firm cock pressed against my back and ass.
He was so responsive, I didn’t understand how anyone couldn’t read him like a book.
“You’re sexy as hell,” Slade murmured, his fingertips slid between two buttons on my shirt, tickling my belly.
“That’s you,” I stated, tilting my chin over my shoulder. The grin I received spoke of many things, one being appreciation. The other being a chance he’d press me against the bar and take me from behind, right there in front of everyone.
Just the thought sent another full-body shiver racing laps throughout me. Maybe I didn’t need that drink after all. Perhaps it was time to leave for the private quarters we’d been assigned.
“You fit me,” Slade said, guiding my chin until I turned fully to face him. At least for tonight, we were past the point of worrying about being out, or decency, or sweat for that matter. Slade leaned into me again, his scent swirled like fog in my mind. I wasn’t sure anyone had ever fit me so seamlessly.
He clasped the sides of my face as he brought me closer to his. His lips slanted over mine. We both opened. No need for the teasing of his lips to encourage the kiss. I was there, eating at his mouth like it was the best pastry I’d ever tasted. The deep clash of tongue and teeth that was all us reached my soul.
Only the pesky need to breathe tore Slade away, but he stayed close. “I wanna make love to you.”
“You keep sayin’ that,” I murmured. His hips tucked into mine to prove me right. Like normal, we were both equally as hard as stone. Sex was where he and I always came together as our best selves.
“By now, you have to know what I want. I love you.” Slade leaned forward, capturing my bottom lip between his teeth, teasing that our sex was going to be rough.
“I’m glad I came. I needed this,” I replied, giving into the excited shiver racing down my spine.
I also refused to tell him that I loved him for the first time in a place like this. We needed romance and alone time before I confessed my truth.
“You fit here. You’re a fun guy. Ready to get out of here?” While he spoke, Slade trailed his fingertips down my right arm until he clasped my hand. Clearly, he didn’t need my answer. He stepped away, tugging me with him.
He and I were breaking all sorts of new ground on this trip. What would it be like to always be accepted this way? To feel comfortable being yourself twenty-four/seven?
“I’ve had a lot to drink,” I murmured to the night’s sky after we pushed through the front door and stepped out into the warm night’s weather. This far out, away from any big city, the stars sprinkled brightly in the sky. The dark night was the time of day I enjoyed the most.
The wobble of my steps proved how much I’d had to drink on my fun night out.
“You’re in good hands. I won’t take too much advantage of the situation,” Slade teased, holding my hand tighter as he pivoted, walking backward in a direction opposite of where we were going. “What time is it? It’s dark out here.”
“You’re makin’ it hard for me to walk,” I said and reluctantly released his hand to walk us in the proper direction of assigned cabin. “This way, cowboy.”
“That’s my word. You’re my cowboy,” Slade corrected. Based on his voice, he was still feet away but following me. “Where’re we going?”
“Not too far.” I decided even with such a short distance, we’d be better not to drive. “I had a good time tonight. I’m glad you made me come with you. I needed to see all this.”
“Me too. I needed to see you here in this environment. You belong in this life.” Slade jogged after me on his booted feet until we were walking side by side, again holding hands, a single pole light giving off a hint of illumination.
Slade stopped in his tracks, which drew me around to see why he had. “Kiss me again. One of your good kisses. I need a kiss to help remember this moment.”
I pretended like I was considering his suggestion for maybe ten seconds before I stepped into him, draping my arms around him, his strong arms followed suit around me.
I loved it when he held me like I mattered.
Jeez, this guy could kiss the lights out of me. I opened my mouth, meeting him halfway. His velvety tongue slid over mine, instantly turning the kiss into magic. Slade was so responsive that night, clutching my biceps as he executed the incendiary kiss. The dominance in his hold, the way his tongue plundered mine, driving forward deep inside my mouth thrilled me. Before I lost myself, giving in to the chemistry Slade stoked between us, we had to get to our cabin.
