For each other, they made up for the years he’d been a total bastard to her.

“Yes, Mommy forgave me, but you know what that means, don’t you?” he asked.

“That Mommy loves you very much,” his little girl Lisbeth said.

He smiled. “Yes, she loves me very much, but it also means that you two have to make sure you are never mean to anyone. Ever.”

They both nodded and then looked at each and laughed.

He loved these two.

“Now, what is tonight?” he asked.

“Anniversary.”

“What does that mean?”

“We have to be good so you can snuggle with Mommy.”

He kissed his children, got to his feet, and flicked off the main light. Their night light cast a glow.

Poppy was already waiting for him outside.

One look at his mate, and he felt complete.

“How are my three angels?” he asked. He pressed a kiss to his wife’s lips before bending down and kissing her swollen stomach.

They were pregnant again, this time with twin girls.

“We’re fine. They are moving around.”

“Be good while I pamper your mother.” He kissed her stomach again and then got to his feet.

Poppy looked tired.

He picked her up in his arms, even as Poppy protested, and carried her downstairs to where his romantic scene waited.

Klaus had arranged all the throw pillows on the floor, and he’d set up a massage station. Over the years, he realized he was pretty good when it came to his hands.

He eased Poppy down, stripped off her clothes, and oiled up his hands.

One touch, and she was moaning. He had the gift.

“How did I get so lucky?” she asked.

Poppy’s stomach was a little on the big side with their twins, so she had no choice but to lie on her side.

Klaus lifted one of her feet, rubbing between her toes.

“I was the one who got lucky, Poppy.”

She chuckled. “Nah, I don’t think that is possible.”

He ran his hands up her body, feeling his cock harden. “I love you, Poppy. Happy Anniversary.”

She smiled up at him, and it was a real one. The kind where he saw into her soul, saw the love she had for him, and he knew without any doubt at all that he was the freaking lucky one.

The End
