I hear a splitting sound as my dress threatens to rip as his fingers work the buttons of my dress, plucking them open, giant hand sliding in once he has plenty of them undone.
Shoves my strapless bra down.
Thumb strokes my nipple.
I swear he gets harder…
Someone pounds on the door.
Jiggles the handle.
Too bad, so sad. We’re fucking—go away!
Luca has the look on his face I’ve come to know well; he’s close. And if I were a betting woman, I would say his balls were tingling and filling with come…
I don’t care about an orgasm.
I only care about seeing his face when he has his.
That’s how much I love him. Turns out, watching Luca’s expression crumple as he shudders inside me on a bathroom counter is a very, very close second to my favorite thing in the whole wide world.
He is the first.
He gasps my name. Stills.
Breath ragged.
Fingers clenched at my waist.
I cup his face, kiss the tip of his nose. “That felt like a massive load.”
He laughs, body wracking one more time against me.
“Holy shit,” he whispers, pupils dilated. “I think I saw God.”
“Yeah?” I press my forehead to his. “Did she look impressed?”
His laugh is broken and shaking. “If she was watching what we just did, she’s definitely sending me to hell.”
I shrug. “She wouldn’t dare.”
It takes several minutes for us to clean ourselves; I wash my hands, dry them, then attempt to fix my hair in the smudged mirror, my reflection no less worse for wear than it was when we entered the stall.
Tipsy is tipsy is tipsy.
Luca’s shirt is halfway buttoned. I think one of my earrings is missing. The counter we desecrated is definitely not level anymore.
No one has to know it was us!
Shh…
“You ready?” Luca has his hand on the door handle, ready to pull it open.
“Yup.”
We nod at each other like we’re about to jump feet first, from an airplane. Luca gives my hand one last squeeze before twisting the knob and—
Bam. The door swings open.
And standing there.
First in line.
Arms crossed.
Expression murderous.
Is Gio.
His eyes scan me—his flushed face twin with smeared lip gloss and messy hair—and scowls. "You have got to be fucking kidding me.”
Luca attempts a smile. It twitches and dies on his lips.
“Hey, uh—Gio.”
“You are in a public bathroom,” Gio says, gesturing wildly. “At a birthday party for your pregnant future sister-in-law. At a goddamn rodeo!”
I roll my eyes. “I love how you keep stating facts.”
“Where people eat.” He is practically shouting.
“Dude, why are you yelling?” I move past him, knocking into his shoulder as only a sister can do.
“Because,” Gio hisses, following me like I just insulted his unborn child. “You were desecrating our family name in a bar bathroom next to a diaper-changing station.”
Luca clears his throat, clearly wishing for a trap door. “For what it’s worth, there isn’t actually a diaper changing station.”
This place isn’t as classy as that.
“You are being so dramatic.” I laugh. “There weren’t any signs that said no intercourse allowed.”
Luca tries to back me up. “Yeah, I checked. Thoroughly.”
“Stop helping.” I give him a gentle nudge with my elbow to shut him up.
“Stop talking,” Gio says, pinching the bridge of his nose like he’s two seconds from an aneurysm. “You are a professional athlete and you just defiled my sister in a restroom like this was your first frat party!”
Luca’s face contorts. “To be fair, I didn’t go to frat parties. The school where I went only had fi—”
Gio throws his arms up. “I told you to stop talking!” He huffs. “I thought I could handle this, I really did.”
“Gio, chill out,” I snap. “You bang Austin all the time, and she told me you had sex on her desk at school.”
My brother’s lips purse. “That’s different.”
I tip my head back and laugh. “I’m sorry we had sex in the bathroom? Just kidding, I’m not!”
“Oh my God!” my brother bellows.
“Didn’t you come here to pee?” I ask, staring down the hall at the line. “There’s a line.”
Then, just before my brother completely loses his shit, Poppy appears as if she’s been summoned by the words bathroom sex.
She wedges herself between us, pink cowgirl hat on her head, sunset cocktail in one hand, and no patience for our nonsense in the other.
“What the hell did I miss?” she says, glancing between our trio. “Were you arguing?”
“He caught us coming out of the bathroom,” I explain, lips twitching. “He’s being a baby about it.”
My best friend laughs, and if she had two free hands, she’d be clapping. “Good for you!” She gives Luca a love tap on the arm. “And good for you, big guy. You seem like the nervous type, I didn’t think you’d have the nerve to fuck her in public.”
Gio throws up his hands. “I didn’t see anything, but my soul saw things. My third eye is permanently blind. I’m scarred for life and so is my unborn child.”
