“Oh, you mean you weren’t watching on the nanny cam?”

“Must’ve missed it.”

See? Shameless. Doesn’t even try to hide it anymore.

“I was doing his laundry and he sabotaged me with a fake tarantula.”

“You hate spiders,” he acknowledged, knowing I’d only said that to Journey when I had to go to war with one on the patio with a broom recently.

“Yes, Mr. Creeper Man, I’m terrified of them. It scared the shit out of me, and I screamed my head off and fell on my ass.” I stretched my back. “I think I pulled something.”

“I see.” He casually stood. “Well, let me take a look.”

“No.” I jerked back.

“No?”

“Yes, no.”

“And why is that?”

“Because I’m not letting you look at my booty.”

“Sweetheart, I’m a doctor.”

“I don’t care if you’re a priest. You’re not getting all up in my ass.”

“Fine.” He shrugged. “Then go see your doctor.”

“I don’t have a doctor.”

“And why is that?” he repeated in an annoyed tone.

“What is this? Fifty questions?”

He arrogantly cocked his head to the side, waiting.

“I don’t have a doctor. I don’t have insurance.”

He didn’t entertain my answer, immediately coming toward me as I hastily stood, knocking my stool over.

“Ah, shit!” I shrieked in pain, holding onto my lower back.

“I’m checking you out.”

“What?”

“You know what I mean. Turn around and bend over for me.”

“Want me to cough for you too?” I backed away from him as he started walking toward me. “Do you talk to all your patients like this? Because it’s borderline sexual harassment.”

“It’s not sexual harassment when you like it.”

“I don’t like it. Hence, why I’m not showing you my ass!”

“Either you show me, or I’ll make you show me.”

“I’m not a child. You can’t make me do anything.”

“Not even if I give you something to suck on after?”

“Enough with the puns, buddy! You’re not seeing my ass!”

“I’ve seen your ass, sweetheart. Trust me, you shake it enough all over my house.”

“That’s different. I’m dancing.”

“Who are you shaking your ass for?”

“Journey.”

“Is that right?”

“Yes, that’s right.” My back hit the wall and my hands flew out in front of me like they were magically going to stop him or something.

He caged me in with arms, leaving me no choice but to stay grounded at his mercy.

Carajo. Fuck.

<>Aiden<>

I slid my leg in between hers, locking her in place. “Well now you have no choice. What kind of doctor would I be if I let you walk around here in pain?”

“One that minded his own business.” She threw my words back at me, baiting a reaction.

“You became my business the second you agreed to move into my home.”

“Agreed? More like kidnapped against my will.”

“Kidnapped, huh?”

“Whatever. You can’t keep this up.”

“Oh, sweetheart, I can keep it up.”

Her eyes dilated.

“When I became a doctor, I took an oath to apply all measures that are required to benefit the sick.”

Before she could argue, I turned her around, lifted her shirt, and dropped her black cotton pants to the floor.

“Aiden!”

“Relax, it’s nothing I haven’t seen before.” I gripped onto her narrow waist, applying pressure to her Iliac Crest. “Does it hurt here?”

She hissed, “Yes.”

“What about here?”

“Ah, yes!”

Moving down her Gluteus Medius. “And here?”

“Kind of.”

“If I apply pressure here?” I dug my thumb into her sciatic nerve. “Does it hurt there?”

“Ah, God yes!”

“Good girl.” I pulled her pants back up over her silk thong panties. “I touched,” I rasped into her ear, “but I didn’t look.” Lying through my fucking teeth.

My swelling cock ached with the need to touch her more. The smell of her arousal making it even harder to resist. It was taking superhuman strength not to rip her thong off and sink into her.

With my hand resisting the impulse to spank her ass, I let her go.

“So… now what?” she asked, not meeting my eyes.

I scoffed out a chuckle, walking over to the counter. Writing her a prescription for an anti-inflammatory and a muscle relaxer.

“Take this one twice a day and this one at bedtime only.”

She bit her lip, grabbing the prescription out of my hand, muttering under her breath, “Okay, thank you.”

I lifted her chin making her look at me. “Excuse me. What was that?”

“I said, ‘thank you.’”

“That’s what I thought, but I just wanted to make sure.”

She yanked her face away. “You don’t have to be all smug about it.”

“I came home early for you.”

Caught off guard by my confession, she narrowed her eyes at me. “What?” She looked at me with something that looked like hope and longing in her eyes.

Feeling our connection.

“You hurt your ass, not your hearing. You heard me.”

She hid back a smile. “Why?”

“I knew you were in pain since last night, and I couldn’t stop thinking about it. I wanted to make sure you were alright.”

“Oh…”

Those goddamn pursed lips were going to be the end of me. I was a deprived man, there was only so much willpower I had left. If this past month proved anything at all, it was how much I craved her.
