Kai softly sighed, then withdrew from Breck’s body, still one hundred percent completely erect. How though, Breck couldn’t understand. The man had come twice already, for shit’s fucking sake. Which suddenly had him noticing something else, the fact that his ass wasn’t leaking at all.

How was that possible?

Kai left two loads inside him.

Baffled, he winced as Kai freed his junk—blood surging forth with a vengeance—then watched Kai release his feet and move to the harness rope attached to the suspension ring. Knot undone, he worked the cord like a pulley and carefully eased Breck down the rest of the way. He made quick work of removing the harness next, his body pressed against Breck’s back whenever he reached around front. Breck watched him via their reflection, relishing each smooth pull of hemp, every tantalizing zing through his body whenever Kai’s fingers grazed his skin.

The rope dropped to the ground, forgotten.

Kai sank down to his haunches and freed Breck’s ankles as well. He rubbed them with his fingers, his touch so strong, yet so calming. And then he stood back up and pressed his chest against Breck’s back. Warm lips dragged along his shoulder, then slowly kissed at trail up the back of his neck.

Shivers raced down Breck’s spine.

Kai turned him to face him, then graced him with the most captivatingly beautiful smile. God, that man was gorgeous. Devastatingly so. Breck’s stomach fluttered as Kai reached up one more time for that ring. The rope to his arms came free, his hands dropping down, but instead of untying his wrists like he had the rest, Kai held on to the rope.

Breck regarded him. What’s he up to now?

Kai’s smile turned rakish, his midnight gaze glittering. “Come.” He turned toward the stairs. Draping Breck’s rope over his shoulder, he headed for his bedroom.

Breck’s lips twitched even as his body hummed, his gaze taking a moment to appreciatively drink Kai in. He’d never seen his backside naked before—and what a spectacular backside Kai fucking had. Broad shoulders and a V-shaped torso, his strong, sleek spine leading Breck’s eyes to his mind-blowing ass. So muscular. Such perfect definition. All flexing like a deity’s with each leisurely step.

When the rope pulled taut, Breck followed after him, suddenly feeling like a captive. The willing kind though, where the notion of bondage wasn’t even needed.

Kai maneuvered him around the couch to the steps, then led him up all three and breached the opening into his room. Breck trailed behind him, peering past the parted shoji doors, then stepped inside and curiously glanced around. Bed straight ahead. Brick faced walls, like the rest of the apartment. Another lofty window to the right as well. Opposite it, an opened doorway to a bathroom.

Breck eyed the candles on Kai’s bedside tables. Tall, cream-colored pillars like all the rest. Yet the ambiance they created was undeniably more sensual. Maybe because their soft light was illuminating Kai’s amazing bed.

He regarded said bed with appreciation. A California king atop a low platform frame surrounded on all three sides by a step-up design. Earth-toned bedding, all neatly made. Pillows fluffed against the headboard with some accent throws. And above the bed, mounted on the wall, an antique-looking sword. Long and sleek with a fabric-wound grip.

Breck lifted a brow. He’d inquire about that one later.

Kai paused at the foot of the mattress, his expression contemplative. Resolute. “On this bed,” he stated, “there’ll be no fucking between us. Under these sheets, there’ll be no casual sex.”

Breck stilled. He hadn’t expected those words. What exactly was Kai trying to say?

“Don’t get me wrong.” Kai’s lips curved friskily. “If you want to go hard, jeja, I’m all fuckin’ for it. No thinking involved can be a great escape. But not here. Anywhere else in my apartment. Hanging from rope. Over the back of my couch. Against the wall, I’m good with it all. But here? When we’re in this bed?” That gleam in his eyes intensified. “We’re in a different place. A different world. Here, we do not fuck. Here, we only make love.”

Breck stared at him, his stomach tightening. Not from need this time, but from pure emotion. Kai wanted him. Truly wanted him. Like that. Was telling him in the most intimate way one could that he was all fucking in.

His heart leapt, his insides going liquid, suddenly wanting this more intensely than he’d ever wanted anything. This communion between their bodies in this sacred space.

Kai gazed at him, a glimmer of vulnerability in his eyes. “Are you capable of this?” he asked. “Of showing up for me this way… in my bed?”

Breck’s breath quickened as Kai searched his face.

Am I capable?

He’d never loved someone before, let alone a man. Not in the way that Kai was referring to. And yet, somehow, he knew deep down inside that he unquestionably could. Could bring what Kai needed, when Kai needed it. And not only could he do it, he desperately wanted to. To share that kind of connection with this remarkable man.
