“Are you sure about this?”

“Yes.”

The two men sat at a table in a dark strip bar, a full bottle between them as they drank and talked.

“And if I do this?”

“You get all we talked about. Why? Need me to repeat it for whatever recording device you have on you?” The words were low and hissed.

“I’m not recording this, but I want to make sure I have what’s coming to me because after I do this, I’m fucked.”

“Not as fucked as you will be if you back out now and go blab to someone.”

The woman on stage, bent toward them, her tiny panties, not hiding much. The pasties she wore shone with the fake gems on there.

“Who would I tell? It’s not like that anyone would believe me. At least not until I start accusing her.”

The older man, spun the glass, drained it, then filled it once more to repeat the action. The one with him hadn’t finished one drink yet.

“And you’ll let me know when?”

The dancer gyrated her ass in their faces. Without paying much attention, he slipped a small bill in her G-string and popped her on the butt, making that cheek jiggle.

“I will. I need to have a few more things in play first. It won’t be long now.”

The younger one was locked on the dancer, nearly panting. The older one looked around the edge of the table, dropped his hand and gripped the stiffness in his companion’s pants. The guy jumped and snapped his gaze to him.

“No touching the girls in here. You’ll have enough money after this to pay for a private dance for any of them. Right now,” he said, releasing him and picking up his drink once more. “You’ll have to shake your own monkey. Go ahead. Ain’t nothing I’ve not seen before. Won’t bother me and it sure as hell won’t bother the women.”

He put his focus on the stage once more as the music changed up and two women came out, dressed in red, white, and blue. In his periphery, he watched his companion pull out his hard cock and begin to jerk off as he watched the women.

Youngsters.

Ignoring him, he went over the plan again and tried to figure out the best date for putting this in motion.

“What’s with the shitty grin, Tav?” Davin tossed his bag down in the entryway and kicked the door shut behind him with the sole of his heavy boot.

“When are you going to see her again?”

Davin didn’t have to ask who his twin spoke about. Neha.

The woman haunted him, day and night. Hell, this morning he woke up coming as her name tumbled from his lips.

“This isn’t The Dating Game, bro. I’m not out trying to get in her pants.”

“You should be. She’s fine by the way.”

“What?” He paused in unbuttoning his blouse. “Where the fuck did you see her?”

“A while ago, I thought I mentioned it.”

Bullshit. Bull fucking shit.

“I was by the water and ran into her there. Her and a friend.” He dug in the fridge and pulled out the chicken for the grill that had been marinating all night. “I have to tell you, her friend is crazy. Adorable. Pretty sexy actually but, crazy.”

“Don’t do it, Tavin. Don’t start showing up where she is so she falls for you.”

“Me?” He tipped his head back and laughed. “Brother dear, that woman is all about you. All I am is something similar. She doesn’t give a shit about me. You on the other hand, that’s entirely different.”

“I’m not talking about this.”

He went to his room and changed. Tavin was outside in the yard, grill heating up, as he perched on the railing, beer in hand.

“How was work?” Tavin questioned.

“Who the fuck cares. How do you know she’s into me?” He picked up the second beer and popped the top off before drinking a healthy swig. “Laugh again and I’ll kick you off there.”

“How is it you see things through your scope?” Davin narrowed his eyes. “Right, sorry. I saw it all over her face, how it fell when she realized who I was. Or rather who I wasn’t.”

“Why was she there?”

“I don’t know, she didn’t tell me. I didn’t ask.”

He missed her. Hadn’t seen her for over fourteen days. This was pathetic, he shouldn’t have feelings for her. Adele had kicked his ass in the aspect of thinking of relationships. She’d done a number on him and the thought of going even remotely close to a relationship again gave him a case of hives. But for Neha, he was willing to get back on the horse, so to speak.

But what? Ask her out? He had been adamant about not dipping his dick in that pool. However, again, this woman was making him think about changing that line in the sand. Brushing it away, something like that.
