“Take the next right,” King says. “There’s a long straight after that. We can get you out of there.”

I nod, concentrating too hard to figure out what words to get out of my mouth. The right-hand turn approaches and I take one last glance up in the mirror to find the black SUV only just making the turn through the intersection, but the second he can, he hits the gas and chases after us.

“Oh, fuck, fuck, fuck, fuck,” I chant over and over again, hitting the brake to slow down enough to make the right-hand turn. The guys have no choice but to hold on to save themselves from flying around the car as I clutch onto the steering wheel, hoping to God that it doesn’t break free. The second the Escalade straightens, I slam my foot back down on the gas, sending us soaring down the road.

Just as King had promised, there’s a long straight up ahead and without wasting a damn second, Grayson reaches over and unbuckles my seatbelt. “Keep your foot on the gas until the very last second.”

I nod as King reaches into the front, curling his arms around my waist as Grayson gets up on his knees. “Ready?” he asks King, glancing back at his friend.

King nods, and like lightning, he yanks me to the backseat as Grayson slides in to take my place, his foot slamming straight back down on the gas. He reaches down by the side of the seat to adjust its positioning, sliding it all the way back until his big frame can fit comfortably behind the steering wheel.

His hands come down on the steering wheel, expertly guiding us down the street, dodging and weaving through the oncoming traffic. Considering we are the only car moving in this direction, I'm pretty fucking certain that King had us turn onto a one-way, and from the looks of it, we’re definitely the ones in the wrong.

King laughs, loving our transition, and with me out of the driver’s seat with the potential risk of freaking out and driving us headfirst into another car, the boys both relax, now looking at the high-speed car chase as a fucking adventure. “Carver’s going to kick himself for missing this shit.”

“You’re damn right. I can guarantee that the fucker is watching it through the dashcam right now,” Grayson laughs, dropping the steering wheel to the left and sending me crashing over the top of King’s lap and slamming into the door. “Fuck, sorry, Ellie. You should really be holding on.”

“Or you should take your own fucking advice and have a few driving lessons,” I mutter before looking up at the little camera. “Do you really think he’s watching this right now?”

King nods. “He wouldn’t miss it.”

I grin wide and fly through the front, draping myself over the center console and grabbing the little camera. I do my best to hold on to the chair to keep myself from flying through the car again as I turn the camera around and grin right into the lens.

“The fuck are you doing?” Grayson growls, far too preoccupied to do anything about it as I reach across him, grab the front of his unbuttoned jeans and shove the camera right down his pants with the lens pointing right toward his monster cock.

“Mind ya business,” I call toward his junk, knowing damn well that Carver got my message loud and clear.

King snickers to himself and yanks me back onto his lap just as Grayson takes the turn off the long straight to put us back on the main road. He skids into traffic, barely avoiding slamming us head-first into a red Corolla.

I spin around on King’s lap, my stare boring out the back window, waiting and watching with bated breath. We get twenty seconds down the main road before the black SUV comes skidding out, clipping the back of a Dodge RAM and sending it into a tailspin. He goes straight around it and continues after us, making my hands ball into fists.

Before, I was sure that it was Ember, but there’s no way that she’d be able to drive like that. It has to be someone else, but who?

I don’t get another second to query it when Grayson heads straight for the right turning lane and pulls out onto the highway that leads right out of town. “Where the hell are you going?” I demand, certain that he was taking us back into Ravenwood Heights and to the safety of Dynasty.

“I’m not about to lead this ass back to our homes. I don’t want him anywhere near us, especially when we don’t know who the fuck it is.”

Okay, so the guy has a point.

“He’s just pulling onto the highway now,” King tells him. “We have to make this quick.”

Grayson nods as my brows furrow. “Make what quick?”
