A sheen of sweat makes the bulges of his biceps all shiny and slick. I lick my lips as I watch his jaw clench while he works on the stubborn bolt.

I’m cheering for the bolt now. I hope it never gets unstuck. I wouldn’t mind coming here for a few hours a day to watch this tantalizing show.

He gets the bolt out and I grunt in disappointment.

“You okay?” he asks as he looks up at me with those killer brown eyes.

“Yeah!” I say as I quickly pull myself together. “Great job! Another one!”

He smiles and then turns around to get the ones in the back.

Oh yeah. Mama likey.

His massive V-shaped back is on full display with every tantalizing muscle flexing and rippling with each movement.

The heat swirling inside works its way down until it’s circling between my legs. I fight back a moan as I squeeze my thighs together, feeling the wetness.

I’m still a virgin and when I landed on this island and it finally sunk into my brain that I’d be staying here, possibly for the rest of my life, I thought that I might never be with a man. I thought it might never happen. That I’d die with my cherry intact.

I worried that years from now, explorers would discover my skeleton and articles would be written about me: Virgin Found On Desert Island.

I wanted to wait until I met the right guy, but I wanted it to happen eventually. I just wanted it to be special. I wanted it to be right.

And watching this gorgeous man going through all of this work for me is making me realize that I made the right choice.

I wouldn’t mind if Mr. Hot Pilot was my first. Not. At. All.

“One more,” he says as he gets to work on the last bolt.

I watch him closely, not wanting to miss a thing until he gets the last bolt out and the seat comes loose.

He drags it out of the plane and lowers it onto the sand.

I’m checking it out while he goes back in to get the other one for himself. I don’t know how he’s going to fit on it with that tall wide frame, but it fits me perfectly. I moan as I lie on my new bed and look up at the clouds. It’s amazing.

He’s amazing.

How lucky am I?

Just when I think I can’t get any lonelier, this hot guy comes dropping out of the sky, makes fire from sticks, quadruples my menu, MacGyver’s me a bed, and makes me feel like the most special girl in the world with the way he keeps fixing me with those seductive stares. This day is definitely my best one on this island yet.

When he’s finally done, he grabs both benches—one under each arm—and carries them back to our camp.

“Are you sure you don’t want me to take one?” I ask, even though I know it’s a ridiculous question. I’d be sweating and swearing up a storm as I struggled to drag that heavy bench even a few feet. Meanwhile, Captain America over here is carrying them easily like he’s carrying in a couple of bags of groceries from the car.

“I got them,” he says as he looks over his shoulder at me with a smile.

I want to know everything about this man. A gazillion questions are rushing through my head. I’m intensely curious. I want to know little things like what kind of toothpaste he likes best, medium things like what he was like in high school, and big things like if he’s married or attached in any way.

“So,” I say, deciding to start with the big things first. “I’m sure people are going to be worried about you going missing.”

He drops his head and sighs heavily as if this is the first time he’s even considered it. “Yeah, I guess so. My parents will be beside themselves with worry.”

“Yeah,” I say with a knowing nod. “And your… Wife? Girlfriend? She’ll be worried sick too.”

My whole body is on alert as he slowly turns to me with those smoldering brown eyes. “I’m single.”

“Oh!” I say, perking up with a grin. I quickly catch myself and turn it into a sad frown. “Oh. Well. I guess that’s good in a way.”

“It’s very good,” he says as his eyes linger on me for a second before darting away.

I feel my cheeks blushing and heating up as we continue walking.

No wife. No girlfriend. This is good. Very good.

We set up our new beds in the camp and I’m excited for a good night’s sleep even though I would have preferred it if our beds were a little closer together.

Ethan catches us another fish for dinner and then finds some wild arugula! I mean, come on! I probably walked over those plants a thousand times and didn’t notice it was something I eat regularly back home.
