“That’s the sweetest, most fucked up compliment I’ve had in a really long time.”

“Isn’t that what I do best?” he impishly counters causing me to girlishly giggle.

I wouldn’t say best.

That would be love me.

He loves like no one else on this entire planet can.

“Your dick sucking skills are unmatched, too, I wanna add.”

The sassiness that springs up is so natural.

So easy.

“I’ve had a lot of practice thanks to you.”

“You’re welcome,” Ry happily laughs. “Here to lend my dick to you anytime you need it, especially if it keeps you from sucking his."

His jealousy is welcomed.

Appreciated.

Needed since I know that while my exploits with someone else are limited his aren’t.

Thoughts of her having him in ways I haven’t start to lead to the same line of thinking that I’ve spent months considering.

That I’ve had Blaze look me in my face and tell me in fits of anger were the reason why Ryder left me.

“Stop that shit, Pres,” he scolds, just above a whisper. “We didn’t break up because you didn’t wanna have sex with me.”

It’s impossible to stop the expression of disbelief from appearing.

“Look, unlike…,” he pauses to swallow the name once more rather than say it, “who is very vocal about his determination to bed the virgin – something that I’ve almost punched him in the fucking face for – I couldn’t give a fuck less. And no, not because I’m fucking someone currently, but because you, Pres, are incredible outside the sack as much as you are in it. It’s not just about fucking with you, baby, or getting off. It’s about the way it makes me feel. Being the one that gets to make you feel that good. All that shit makes me feel like the luckiest sonofabitch in the world whether we’re coming or cuddling or just laughing together. I’d totally pick a day of not fucking with you over a whole day of fucking someone else every time.”

His words sink right into my rapidly beating heart where I need them most.

“And now that we’ve concluded this week’s episode, Who is Clearly a Pussysiare, we really should get going.”

Giggling again is done prior to me resuming our previous teasing, “Time to tell me exactly where we are going, Agent Ry.”

“A basketball game.”

“Um, have you lost your goddamn mind?” Fear cannot scramble onto my face fast enough. “We cannot go to our school basketball game together!”

“And we’re not.” He cockily smirk. “We’re going to East River’s game.”

“That’s like forty-five minutes away!”

This time his smile is sweet. Soft. “Exactly.”

“You’re gonna drive us all the way to the next city over just so we can watch a game together?”

“No, just so we can be together in peace.”

An almost inaudible awe escapes me.

“Pres, if I have to drive to the ends of the earth every day just to be with you, I will.” His declaration is followed with a kiss on the back of my hand. “At the end of the day, every day, the only thing I know for a fact is I’m never giving you up again. No matter what that means I have to do or where we have to go to make that happen.”

--

“Aw, are you daydreaming, boss?” my assistant, Clementine or as she prefers to be called Clemmy, speaks up from my office doorway, startling me out of the memory I didn’t even realize I had stumbled into.

My elbow bumps into the edge of the desk causing me to stomp down a groan of pain before answering. “No.”

“You looked like you were daydreaming,” she hums, her thin, overly bronzed frame, too bouncy, too lively for my current mood.

That shit is perfect for giving tours, but dreadful for dreary moods like the one I’ve been consistently finding myself in.

All the talk about Ry is not only creating constant chaos in my mind, it’s causing me to reevaluate where I am in my life. Especially in my love life, which seems like a bold thing to call the stalemate that Xander and I are in.

“Please, please, tell me you were daydreaming. Make my whole day by telling me you were daydreaming.”

“Why do you want me to be daydreaming so bad?”

“Because daydreams typically put a smile on people’s faces like the one that you’re sporting now. Smiling releases endorphins. Endorphins make people feel good. I.E. I want you to feel good.”

She is also very sweet, which most certainly helps during the aforementioned tours.

“Were you daydreaming about Tom Hiddleston? Idris Elba? Oh! Oh! Antonio Banderas!?”

“Why are you in my doorway?” I sigh in obvious exasperation. “Is there something wrong with one of the students?”

“No.”

“Is there something wrong with one of the teachers?”

“No.”

“The classrooms, cafeteria, or outdoor recreational spaces?”

“No, and none of the inspectors are here, either.”

“Then, let me polit ./”ely ask once more, why are you in my doorway?”

“Because when I buzzed to alert you that your new family interview is here you didn’t answer.”
