“Can I kiss you?” he asks.

“I’d be disappointed if you didn’t.”

He leans in and touches his lips to mine. It’s so soft it takes me off guard because I was expecting a full-on comedown make-out session.

This is a little too unnerving, though. It doesn’t say casual at all.

And I can already tell that if we’re going to do this—hook up a couple more times—it’s going to be difficult for me to separate lust and real feelings.

To remind myself of what this is, I force his lips to part and lick my way inside. I take control of the kiss, but he matches me, keeping with my pace until I can feel him harden against my thigh.

I break my mouth from his. “Seriously? Again?”

“I take it your exploration of your sexual identity didn’t include being with a football player?”

“How did you know?”

Peyton lowers his mouth to my ear. “Because you wouldn’t be surprised by my stamina.”

“Looking for round two already?”

“Mm, I don’t think it would take me much like this.” Peyton rotates his hips, dragging his cock along my skin. It’s so hard already, and the fact he got so turned on by blowing me settles some of that insecurity that’s trying to come back.

Peyton doesn’t stop grinding against me, but he lowers his head next to mine, his breath in my ear. It’s like the first night we hooked up, only he’s the one on top this time. He sets the pace, and when he comes for the second time tonight, I feel it on my abs and stomach.

He slumps on top of me, out of breath and sweaty.

“Are you done now?” I ask.

“At least until morning.”

“I don’t know how I’m going to keep up with you.” But I sure as fuck want to try.

Peyton rolls onto his back, and even if the urge to get up and clean myself off is strong, I don’t want to leave his side yet.

Even though I know I should.

CHAPTER TEN

peyton

Okay, my intention wasn’t to sleep over because I rarely do that with anyone unless there are extenuating circumstances like we’re drunk or getting home is an issue, but after two orgasms, there was no choice other than to pass the fuck out.

I wake when Levi’s voice fills the room, but if he’s talking to me, he’s going to have to wait until I’ve at least had a sip of coffee.

I crack one eye open to see Levi sitting on the edge of his side of the bed. He has his boxers on but nothing else, and I almost reach over and kiss my way down his spine, but his words stop me.

“School’s going fine, Dad.”

Oh, shit. Mr. Vanderbilt himself.

I might leave Levi to it.

I slide out of bed as quietly as I can and put on my underwear from last night. Levi’s apartment has wide windows in the living room, no curtains, and it faces the beach. The last thing I’d want to do is give beachgoers an eyeful of my dick.

It’s definitely noteworthy, and they will all want it, but naked pics leaked online is the last thing I want this close to the draft. Or ever, really. A scandal like that is almost as bad as coming out in the sporting industry, and here, it would be a double whammy.

I go searching for Levi’s coffee machine, and it’s hard to miss when it takes up a good chunk of the kitchen counter. The problem is we only have a Keurig at home, so a proper espresso machine is daunting.

There are two options here. I go interrupt his phone call by getting the rest of my clothes and going for a walk down the street to Bean Necessities, or I can figure this thing out.

Clothes seem like so much effort, though.

How hard can an espresso machine be to work out? Really. I’ve ordered a million coffees over the last four years to get me through midterms and exams. Hell, sometimes I’ve needed it just to stay awake in class. I’ve seen how they’re made, so it will be easy to replicate.

First, they take this handle-looking thing and put ground coffee in it, but I can only find beans on the counter.

Levi’s machine looks fancy enough to have a grinder in it, so I try that.

I pour some of the beans into the handle and then work out how to attach it to the machine. It’s a little bumpy, but I get it in there. Sort of.

After I find mugs, I put them under the spout of the handle. Okay, now, which button to push …

I want to make Levi a cup too, so I hit the button that has the two cups on it. It does nothing.

My gaze catches on the side of the machine where a button says “ON.” That would probably help.
