“Yes,” I moan. Pleasure quickly cancels out the pain as my body tingles all over. I try to lift my bound hands from the bed in order to rub my clit, but I can’t lift them with the scarf secured to my thighs. I whimper in frustration, which makes Trent chuckle.

“Is this what you need, princess?” he murmurs as he leans forward, his quick fingers strumming my sensitive clit. I shudder beneath him.

Before I can even answer him, my entire body tightens as my eyes roll back. My breath catches in my throat as wave after wave of orgasmic pleasure hits me hard and fast. Trent moans as his strokes become quicker and harder, his fingers still moving on my clit. The pleasure continues to increase until I literally can’t breathe, suffocating in lust as my walls squeeze and pulse around Trent’s cock.

“That’s it, baby,” he says, his voice tight before his hips stutter against me with a moan that sends a chill down my spine. He slows to a stop, hovering over me while I fight to catch my breath. My body still buzzes from the aftershock, my mind hazy as the final embers of our lust settle into a silent bliss. He kisses my bare shoulder. “Are you okay?”

“Yeah,” I pant. “I think so.”

I wince when he pulls out of me, waiting as he untied the scarf from my body. I flop down and roll onto my back, closing my eyes as Trent settles beside me.

“Are you sure you’re okay?” he asks again. I open my heavy eyes and meet his concerned gaze.

“I’m positive,” I reply with a tired smile. “I actually really liked it.” My smile falters a bit as reality sets in. “So what happens now?”

He wraps an arm around my waist and pulls me closer, resting his chin on the top of my head. “We go to sleep and worry about everything else later,” he murmurs.

And I definitely don’t fight him on it as I snuggle into his chest and quickly drift off.

“Where are we going?” Morgan asks me the following morning.

I only grin as I continue making my way through traffic. “You’ll see.”

Never in a million years did I think I’d be where I am right now. When I was first assigned to take her out, I thought this job would’ve been like all the others. Instead, it turned into proving my target’s innocence, busting a human trafficking ring, and taking down a powerful Mafia family in the process. I’m so used to taking lives that I forgot how great it feels to save them. I glance over at Morgan, who smiles at me. And knowing that I’ll get to see that smile even longer is a big enough sign for me to know that I’m making the right decision.

Morgan looks out the window when I pull into the parking lot of The Hotel with a frown, but she doesn’t say anything. I get out of the car and walk over to the passenger side, opening her door and holding out my hand. She links her fingers between mine, and we make our way inside as her curious eyes look around.

“This place gives me secret lair vibes,” Morgan teases. “What is it?”

“It’s where I work.”

“So it is a secret lair,” she muses, and I chuckle.

“I guess you can say that,” I say when Natalie comes into view.

Natalie approaches us, poised and polished as she always is. Her stilettos click against the marble floors until she comes to a stop in front of us, her serious gaze falling on Morgan.

“It’s nice to finally meet you off paper,” she says.

Morgan gives her an uncomfortable smile before looking at me in confusion, which makes me chuckle. “This is Natalie, one of my team members. She only knew of you because of the hit before, which was on paper,” I explain. “She’s basically saying it’s nice to meet you in person.”

“Correct,” Natalie confirms with a nod.

“Oh.” Morgan giggles and tucks a lock of hair behind her ear. “Nice to meet you as well.”

Natalie turns her attention to me. “Ready to go up?”

“Sure.”

I lead Morgan to the elevators, Natalie walking a few steps ahead of us. None of us says anything as we make our way to the eighth floor. I can see all the questions in Morgan’s eyes when she saw Natalie punching in a code in order for the buttons on the panel to work, but she doesn’t voice any of them. When the doors open, we all step out. Morgan and I follow Natalie down the quiet hallway until we get to room 802. She hands me a key card and gestures to the door.

“I’ll let you do the honors,” she says with a grin.

I slide the key card along the card reader and push the handle when the light turns green. Morgan steps inside first, her eyes widening as she looks around.
