I might be the only unmated female in my tribe, but it doesn’t mean I’ve given my heart. I’m waiting. I want resonance, and I won’t settle for anything less.

But when an alien ship lands and a handsome stranger steps out, I know he’s the one. His name’s Mardok and he’s fascinatingly different – and distractingly appealing. But Mardok can’t stay on the ice planet, and he says he can take me with him.

Now, I must make a choice. Do I stay and lose my mate forever? Or do I follow him to the stars and leave behind everything I know?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

FARLI

“Come on, lazy one!” I say as I put my hands on my hips. “It is time to go out!” I tap my foot impatiently, though I am smiling. “If we linger here all morning all the good tree bark will be eaten, and then where will you be?”

Chahm-pee bleats at me, his expression stubborn as he puts his head in his favorite basket and continues eating his morning meal.

I groan and move forward, grabbing him by the harness Tee-fah-ni made for him. “Will it be like this today, then? Are we going to fight?”

He ignores me, head down as he chews. Some days Chahm-pee is eager to get out, but today he wishes to stay and eat and wallow in his laziness. I will not let him, though. He gets too fat in the brutal season, so during the bitter season, I make sure he hunts with me. “Move,” I tell him, tugging on his harness and then giving his flank a slap.

Chahm-pee lifts his head and bares his yellow teeth at me, showing he is displeased. I snort at this, because Chahm-pee is all show. He will bleat and drag his feet and then the moment we are in the sunlight, he is prancing and acting like a kit despite his age. At two hands of age—eight, by human count—Chahm-pee is full-grown and bigger than most dvisti. I think it is because I make sure he is well-fed. Probably too well-fed, if I go by my mother’s advice. Kemli thinks I spend too much time focused on my pet and not enough on providing for the tribe. Perhaps she is right, but food has been plentiful ever since we came to Croatoan village, and Chahm-pee does not eat the same things we do.

I give another tug on his harness, but Chahm-pee weighs double what I do, and there is no budging him. He belches and puts his head back in his food basket.

I know what to get him to move, though. I sling my hunting pack over my shoulder and head toward the entrance to my hut, pretending like I am going to leave. “Mmmm,” I say exaggeratedly, digging into my pocket. I carry a pouch of rakrak seeds—Chahm-pee’s favorite—for such an occasion. I shake the bag and then pull it out.

His head immediately lifts, ears pricking. His little tail swishes back and forth. I have his attention now.

“So tasty,” I coo, and head out of the hut a few steps, then wait.

The dvisti trots out behind me and noses my pocket. He knows what I have. Amused, I pull a few seeds out and let him eat them from my hand, and then continue to head out into the village. He follows behind me, like the well-trained animal I know he is not.

“Very good, my Chahm-pee,” I tell him, pulling a few more seeds out of my pocket because I have a soft heart. “We shall go and get our hunting in for the day. That will be nice, will it not? We can enjoy the sunshine and the fresh air, and some fresh food to eat. We like fresh food, do we not?”

“Are you talking to Chompy again?” a woman calls out, laughter in her voice. “You know he still can’t answer?”

I grin, ignoring Jo-see’s teasing. Even though it is early, the village is bustling with tribesmates. Jo-see is herding her little family toward the longhouse, where Air-ee-aw-nuh will be teaching classes to the kits, like she does every day the hunters go out. When the weather is bad, that is family time. But when the day is crisp and sunny like today? The hunters head out into the wild and the kits head to class. Warrek teaches them hunting when they are older, but when they are little—and there are so, so many little ones in our tribe—Air-ee-aw-nuh teaches them to count and how to spell in the human language. She has offered to teach me, but I have too much to do. “Hello, Jo-see,” I call out, smiling to the little mother. I wink at her small son, who is doing his best to squirm away from his mother’s grip. “Hello, Joden.”

“Farli, can I come with you?” Joden asks in his sweet little voice. “I want to play wif Chahm-pee.”

“No, baby, you get to hang with Mommy and sissy today,” Jo-see says in a calm voice, even as she adjusts the kit on her hip. Joha is only a season or so old, and sucks her thumb as she looks at me with big eyes. She is quiet and gentle, unlike her squirmy little brother. I wonder what their next kit will be like. Even now, Jo-see’s belly is heavily rounded with yet another kit. The tribe loves to tease Haeden and his mate about their frequent resonances, but Haeden just takes it all in stride. I think he secretly loves the fact that he and his mate have resonated three times so quickly, but Jo-see loves being a mother and Haeden is a good father. They are happy.
First she'll be punished. Then she'll be bred.

If she hadn't been such a disobedient pet so many times since we rescued and claimed her, we might have believed our little human when she insisted she didn't run away from us this time.

But defiant or not, she was soaking wet even before we stripped her bare and spanked her ass, and no matter how hard she fights she'll still take each of us in turn and then all of us at once.

Because tame or not, we're going to breed her.

Publisher's Their Human Pet is a standalone romance. It includes spankings and rough, intense sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER 1

“You know you are owned, don’t you. There is no escape.”

I have the sense of being small. But not young. The figures surrounding me make me seem diminutive in comparison because they are impossibly large. I don’t know where I am. I don’t know who they are. But I know that they want me. Every bit of me. I can feel their possessive energy focused on me.

Someone grabs a thick handful of my hair and holds me in place. I feel a harsh slap across my ass.

“Naughty pet,” a deep voice intones. “Such a naughty little human mate. What are we going to do with you?”

This is a dream. I know it is because real life couldn’t possibly be this hot. Real life is straws you have to drink from quickly before they go soggy in a soy protein shake, and letters from the building manager about the hours you’re keeping, and an itch on the bottom of your foot that never seems to have any reason to be there. Real life is a series of tasks that stay the same day after day. What’s happening to me now is un-fucking-real in every way.

A massive, scaled hand wraps lightly around my throat, and holds me firmly while another big red hand slides down my stomach, making for the apex of my thighs. My legs spread instinctively. In this dream, I know I am supposed to give myself to them.

“Filthy little animal…”

“Good girl…”

Two strange voices mesh with one another.

I catch little flashes of alien masters… there are scales… a horn… a battleax. Nothing is entirely clear because my brain won’t render the whole scene at once. It’s putting all its effort into the way my hips are grinding against the hand between my legs, the thick finger pushing into my molten interior.

“So wet for us,” the voice comes again. “Such a hungry, desperate little pet.”

I try to move, try to grind my hips down. I want satisfaction. I am so desperately aroused I know the only way out of this is to find release.

A face swims into view. The alien beast has the appearance and bearing of a wild god. Golden hair flows from his head in a brilliant mane. He has bright stellar blue eyes, and the hard, symmetrical features of a creature chiseled from stone. He is hard… in every way.

My eyes run down the length of his body.

“Down, girl,” he says, pressing me down on my knees. The hands help him put me where he wants me. I am not given a choice. Between the three big alien entities, I am as helpless as the animal they call me. I am like a rabbit in a snare, caught so completely all I can do is stare wide-eyed as a collar is latched closed around my throat and the wildness is stolen from me in that universal act of domination and domestication.

“She’s waking up, I think. Her pulse just spiked.”

A voice that doesn’t belong to this place or these creatures breaks through the dream. A shaft of light pierces the sacred darkness we have been trysting in.

“No!” I whine, feeling as though I am about to lose something I will never be able to get back. The sexy fear of being kidnapped by aliens is replaced by a very raw fear of something much worse, of being cut off…

But the light is getting brighter, and the dream is fading, and no amount of holding onto it can stop the rising of my consciousness.

“We’re coming for you.”

That’s the last thing I hear before I wake up.

I open my eyes.

I have the warm, cozy feeling of emerging from a long sleep and a very satisfying dream. It is gone instantly, the way the best dreams are, but I feel the chemical remnants of it.

There’s a bird singing out the window. White curtains flutter in the wind. A kindly man wearing a white coat and stethoscope is looking down at me with an air of gentle expectation. He has wrinkles at the corners of his eyes and salt-and-pepper hair, and a vibe of being very dependable, reliable, and safe.

“You’re awake,” he says.

I forgive the obvious statement, because he seems nice, and because I feel so good. Sometimes it feels like I can never get enough sleep, like the long, restorative rests of childhood were also some dream I’ll never get back. But this feels amazing, like I’ve been asleep for a very long time. Or like I’ve had the best nap ever and woken up without being groggy. I’m so rested.

This must be what people mean when they say women are supposed to get ten hours of sleep a night. I feel like I’ve slept a decade. Or a century. I feel like Sleeping Beauty. I want to burrow back into the pillow, close my eyes, and find the dream again. It was good, I think.
I’ve never spent a day without my mate since arriving on the ice planet. I’m happy and in love, and we have a beautiful child together. All that changed when the world shook.

My mate nearly died.

He wakes up from his coma…and he can’t remember me. Or our son. Every memory of the past two years is gone. And that changes everything between us. How can I love someone that doesn’t remember me?

How can I not, when I know he’s still my mate underneath it all?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

1

STACY

Pashov’s arms go around me and he nuzzles my neck, all affection. He’s always very affectionate around breakfast. And lunch. And okay, dinner. The man’s ruled by his stomach, and today is no change. He presses a kiss to my neck and then peers at my frying pan. “Are you making those for me?”

“No,” I say, teasing in my voice. “This is for Josie. Are you hungry again?”

“I am always hungry, female.” His hand slides to my butt and he gives it a squeeze. “Perhaps throw one of your cakes on there for your suffering mate?”

Suffering? I snort with amusement, but I get out a scoop of the mash I use for the not-potato cakes. “Sweet or meat?”

“Meat, of course.”

Of course. He likes sweets about as much as the next sa-khui, which is to say not at all. I open my pouch of spices for the peppery flavoring he likes so much. “Oh, shoot. I’m out. I need more of the spicy stuff. Do you think your mother has more?”

“There is some in the storage cave,” he tells me, pressing a kiss to my cheek. “I will go and get it for you.”

“Leave Pacy with me,” I tell him, setting my pan down. “He needs to eat, too.”

He shrugs off the papoose carrier and sets my son down near my feet, touching his nose. “Do not eat all of the cakes. Save some for your father.”

Pacy giggles and tries to catch his father’s big finger with his tiny hands. My heart squeezes with affection at the sight. “Hurry up,” I warn Pashov. “I need those spices if you want to eat.” I’m not trying to nudge him too much, but my mate can get distracted at times, and if I leave my pan on for too long, it’ll get too hot and scorch the cakes.

“I am going,” he says, uncurling his big body and getting to his feet. He tugs on my braid, grabs my ass again as he leaves, and then jogs away into one of the back tunnels.

The ground shifts.

I drop my pan into the fire, ignoring the crash of sparks it makes, and grab Pacy instead. I don’t understand what’s happening. I look around, wondering if I’m imagining things, but then the ground shakes again.

“Out of the cave!” someone bellows, and then hands grab me and pull me blindly after them. I think it’s Haeden, and he’s got Josie in one arm and drags me with the other.

“Wait!” I cry out. “Pashov!” He’s in the storage cave.

I look over…and then the ceiling collapses.

“PASHOV!”

I wake up in a cold sweat. Every inch of me is slick with it, and I rub my arms briskly to get rid of the dampness before it can crystallize to frost. Next to me in the nest of furs is Pacy. He’s got one fist in his mouth, and as I watch, his little mouth works as if nursing in his sleep. Normally the sight of my son in sleep brings me immense joy, but today…

All I can see is the velvety pale blue skin, the dark lashes that frame his eyes, and the nose with the bump right in the middle of the bridge, just like his father. He’s the spitting image of him, and it hurts me.

I’ve lost my mate.

Even though Pacy’s asleep, I pick him up and pull open my tunic, settling him to my breast. He latches on sleepily and then begins to nurse, pushing a small hand against my skin. The nursing’s to comfort me more than him, I think. I need to hold him close. I need to feel the calm that motherhood brings with it.

I need to feel the touch of someone who loves me and whom I love.

Because right now, I’m losing control.

I glance across the small tent. Georgie’s sleeping curled against her mate, with Talie in a basket of furs nearby. They’ve been nice enough to let me stay with them for the last week and a half, but I know it can’t be easy on them. It’s not easy on me, either. Every time Vektal pulls Georgie close, I think of Pashov. Every time they exchange a look, I think of Pashov. Every time he steals a kiss from her, I think of Pashov.

And I hurt all over again.

Tears threaten, but I close my eyes and force myself to be calm. It does no good thinking about my mate right now. Right now, he is not my mate. He doesn’t remember me. Doesn’t remember the last two years we’ve spent together, or the baby we made together. Doesn’t remember resonating to me.

Doesn’t remember me at all.

To him, I’m just another faceless, puzzling human. He doesn’t remember our crash here. He doesn’t remember Vektal mating to Georgie, or me resonating to him the first day we met. He doesn’t remember the birth of our son. He remembers his sister and his brothers. He remembers his family and the rest of the tribe.
Pamela loves her job on Risda III - as cook to Lord and Lady va'Rin, she is responsible for creating delicious meals. What better way to show her appreciation for her new life than a Thanksgiving feast?

Alien guardsman Toghar has adored Pamela in silence for years now. Is today the day to speak up? Or should he wait until she stops shoving her hand into that dead bird on the counter?

Will the holidays bring these two together? (The answer is yes, of course.)

This is a short, stand-alone story set in the Risdaverse featuring a human woman, an alien hero who has no idea what Thanksgiving is, and some stuff that probably shouldn't happen in a kitchen, but does anyhow

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER

ONE

TOGHAR

Today, I decide, I'm going to tell Pamela that I care for her. It's done. It's decided. I'm going to do it.

Anxiety makes my palms sweaty, and I wipe them on my clothing. I want to tug at the high collar on my standard-issue security uniform, but if I tug on it once, I'm going to tug on it all day. I run my hands down my thighs instead.

"You look nervous," the guard at the estate entrance comments as I lift my badge to scan. "Something going on?"

"No," I scoff, leaning in for the second part of the scan and opening my eye wide. I wait as my retinal print is processed, but my tail twitches.

I must be unconvincing because Jassoh narrows his eyes at me. He knows something is going on. I wait at the door, ready to begin another day as one of Lord va'Rin's many security guards on his grand estate. He employs several of us, and because we all live in the barracks, we tend to be in each other's business. Normally I don't mind if my co-workers are nosy. But today is the day.

After a long moment, Jassoh's expression changes and then he grins, blocking the door before I can enter. "Wait. Are you finally going to do it? You going to tell that little human female how you feel?"

Shoving the other male aside so I can enter, I fight the urge to growl at how familiar he is with her. No one gets to call Pamela a “little human” except me. "If I can get the words out. And she's not 'little.' Not to you."

"You can do it," he encourages, slapping me on the back as I walk past. "Don't be so nervous. What's the worst that could happen?"

The worst that could happen?

Pamela is human and I'm mesakkah. She's a former slave, kidnapped from her planet and rescued by Lord va'Rin. I'm one of the race that stole her from her home. She could loathe me. She could be horrified at my confession of devotion and never want to see me again. Perhaps she will be so disgusted at the thought of an alien male besotted with her that she will abandon her job and her comfortable, safe life here on Risda III. My words will drive her away and then I will never see her again.

At least now, when she doesn't know how I feel, I can watch over her. I can make sure that she's safe and protected and taken care of every day.

Jassoh doesn't understand. I mumble something about being late and push through the door before he can quiz me further.

I nod to the others as I walk through the echoing halls of the expansive estate, heading for my station near the kitchens. It's early, and Pamela won't be in for several hours yet. Which is good, because that'll give me time to get my keffing head on straight, to calm down and think about how I'm going to ask her to let me court her. I need to word it just right. After five years of working alongside one another, I can't bear the thought of another day passing without her knowing how I feel.

And yet...it's safest not to say anything at all.

I'm torn. Lord va'Rin has given me permission to court her. He says I don't need it, that we are both adults. This is true, but we also both work for him, and Pamela is very close to his wife. If she does not want me to court her, things can get very awkward. Perhaps that is why I have kept silent for so long. Pamela deserves to feel happy and safe when she is at work. It's better for all of us if I keep my feelings to myself.

But doing so is...agony. I ache to touch her, to stroke her mane back from her face. I can't stop watching her as she moves about, and her soft smiles fill me with such joy, even if they're not aimed at me. Perhaps I should say nothing.

At least I have time to decide, I think to myself as I stroll down the long halls of Lord va'Rin's home. Pamela will not be in for work for a few hours yet. I arrive early every day ahead of her and—
When the clone pods were abandoned on the ice planet, two of them opened before the others. Corvak, a gladiator and a splice, ran into the snows. He carried Aidy, a confused human woman. They're on the run, determined not to get caught.

Aidy has no idea what's going on or why she's been dumped in the icy mountains. Corvak, however, is convinced this is all one big gladiator game, and one he's determined to win. To do that, they'll have to avoid all the others and survive by any means possible.

Why do they need this parasite anyhow...and why do their chests keep humming?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER

ONE

AIDY

"Come with me if you want to live."

I jerk from sleep at the Terminator quote. I'm a movie buff, but that's a strange one to wake up to. Who's speaking? The voice is that of a stranger. I open my eyes, shaking off the last of my weariness, to see a big hand thrust into my face.

It's not a human hand.

The hand extended out to me has the wrong number of fingers. There are dark claws and vaguely gray skin, like I would imagine a monster would have. I bite back a yelp of distress and follow the sight of that strange hand up to—

Jesus Christ, I don't know who—or what—that is.

The stranger looming over my bed is as inhuman as his hand. He looks a bit like the beast from the Beauty and the Beast cartoon come to life, with just a color palette swap. He's got strangely shaped ears, a bushy mane, and big, wide, gray shoulders that look like they're covered in a downy layer of fur. His mouth has a few extremely prominent teeth that might not be teeth at all, but tusks.

He's also near-naked and it's cold as fuck.

I…don't know this man. What's he doing in my room? Why's the air conditioning so fucking cold?

As I stare up at the strange beast-man, hyperventilating, a snowflake drifts past. This…isn't my home. My frantic gaze flicks back and forth, noting my surroundings. I'm in some sort of metallic…coffin? A tube or a pod of some kind with lots of flashing lights and light padding underneath.

I'm practically naked. There's nothing covering me but a sheer white shift.

And I'm fucking freezing.

I cover my breasts in horror and swat his hand away. "Where are my clothes? Where are we? Who the fuck are you?"

The hand pushes into my face again. "I will explain everything. I know how this game is played. Those that do not escape right away will be killed."

"Killed? Game?" I squeak, terrified. "What game? And I can't leave. I don't have clothes—"

He glances off to the side, even as a snowy breeze ruffles his mane. He turns to look back at me, dark eyes intense. "Quick. Come with me. We have to go now."

I don't know what's going on—the last memory I have is fuzzy and somewhere warm with beige walls. This isn't Arizona. Arizona is warm and the sun is hard, unlike the watery sunlight here. This might not even be Earth, judging by the strange greenish tint of the sky barely visible past my freezing-ass coffin. Also judging by the big inhuman stranger holding a clawed hand out to me.

But I want to live. Whatever else is going on, I don't want to die.

"Don't look at me, okay?" I say as I sit up, taking his hand.

He scoffs. "You can worry about your naked body when we are safe."

Rude. But also, true. As I sit up, I look around and get the scope of my surroundings. This really isn't familiar to me at all. We're in a strange, snowy place with distant pink trees and jagged cliffs. Everything's covered in snow and looks highly dangerous. My coffin is in the valley between some of these alarming-looking cliffs, and mine is not the only one. I can hear the distant sound of sobbing, and as I watch, another coffin slides open.

What happens when all these people get out? Is it like the hunger games and we all have to fight for resources? I am most definitely not a fighter. I look at my new "friend" again. He says he knows how this game is played.

I put my hand in his and let him drag me out of the coffin.

The moment I emerge from the cocoon, the absolute cold hits me. I don't have shoes. I don't have a coat. The wind is the coldest thing I've ever felt, and my nipples immediately turn into rocks. I want to crawl back into the coffin, but the stranger is pulling me forward, dragging me along after him.

Two steps into the snow and I stumble.

He immediately moves to my side again, helping me to my feet. "We have to go."

"I c-c-can't," I manage, teeth chattering. "I don't have sh-sh-shoes."

He glances around again, makes a ferocious-sounding snarl in his throat, and then hefts me into his arms. A moment later, I'm tossed over his shoulder like a heroine in some fairy tale, and then he's racing away through the snow, heading into one of the narrow canyons. My vision bounces, but I see a large figure with a spear stalking between the coffins. Somewhere else, a woman screams.

Oh god. Oh fuck. We really are being killed. I clutch at the back of the gray stranger. "Don't drop me!"

"Never. I keep what is mine."

I must have heard that wrong. Doesn't matter. He's my ally right now. I try to remain still and quiet, even when my stomach threatens to spill its contents. I pinch my nose and close my eyes, willing myself not to barf despite being shaken like a bowl of Jello. Even though his body is warm against my front, the rest of me feels like ice as the wind rips against my skin, and I want to sob with how awful this is.
Payton needs help on her farm. Heavily pregnant from a one-night-stand, she can't manage all the manual labor and is supposed to be on bedrest. An alien man from a cat-like warrior race arrives on her doorstep with an offer to work for room and board. Bodhrri will get to stay on the planet, and Payton will get an extra pair of hands to help out until her babies (yup, plural) are born.

Tiny problem - he's the father of her unborn children and he had no idea until now she was pregnant. Is this a secret baby plot?

(No, it's secret BABIES.)

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter

One

BODHRRI

There's a knot in my throat as I pack my bag. I fold up my clothes, toss my data pad in after them, and add in my favorite mug. As a contracted worker, I don't have much to my name. It's easiest to be able to pack up and go at a moment's notice. At least, that's the line of thinking. But after fifteen years of bouncing around from job site to job site, I've found a place that it's keffing killing me to leave.

I'm in love with Risda III, and I can't stay.

My contract is over as of today, the dock expansion I and the rest of my crew were hired to work on finally completed. It's the first time I've ever been planet-side. I grew up on a station. Most of my jobs have been maintenance types on various other deep-space stations.

I never knew what I was missing. Planets have fresh air. And birds. And grasses. And stars at night.

I'm going to miss the stars more than anything.

Well, almost as much as the fresh air and the fact that my lungs feel clear here.

But I can't stay. Even if I had the credits to afford to abandon my job—I don't—Risda III is a closed world. It belongs to some rich mesakkah lord who keeps humans and sets them up on land here. Like all the laborers, I've been told to avoid the humans. I've been mostly successful at it, too. Now I wish I was one, because I'd get to stay here forever.

There's not a lot of luck out in the universe for a praxiian that comes from a poor family house, though. I can't even honorably join the armed forces or try my luck as a gladiator, thanks to my piss-poor lungs. I spent my formative years in the lowest parts of a poorly-working space station, only to destroy my lungs before I reached an age to join the military. There's no chance for me to make my fortune, so I have to take what scraps the universe offers me. Normally I've made my peace with it. Easier to be at ease with your job when every place you go to is shit.

Hits different when you're sent to paradise and told you can't stay.

I drag my feet for as long as possible, but there's only so much time I can spend packing my bag. Then there's nothing to do but leave my small rented apartment and head into Risda III's one settlement to get my contract signed off and so I can get paid. I head out of the apartments for the last time and into the bright morning sunlight. I squint up at the sky, but it's endlessly blue with a few puffy clouds drifting overhead. No stars.

Damn. I really wanted to see the stars one last time. They always make me think of that woman and that one night. The human woman who told me all about stars and wishing. Never saw her again, but I think about her all the time. Wherever she is, I hope she's happy. I hope she loves this planet every bit as much as I do.

I head out, crossing through the small town that's sprung up just outside the space port. There's a small cluster of buildings that line one street, and not much else. That's how the lord that owns this place prefers it, I'm told. I see a few humans walking about, but no one approaches me. Praxiians aren't popular on this planet. Kef, I think most males of any species aren't popular on this planet. I've noticed that most of the residents here are female and human. Anyone not human has to be ready to show paperwork at any and all times, and I notice there's a Port custodian patrolling the street. His gaze lands on me and he watches me closely as I keep my head down and head for the custodian office to get my work contract stamped so I can get paid. I don't want to cause trouble here. It's the last thing I want. One of the things that's so appealing about Risda is how very peaceful it is.

More thoughts that should never come from a praxiian.

As I always do when I go into town, I scan the residents walking the street and peer into the buildings, looking for a familiar head of long blonde hair atop a very short female. I hate that I never caught her name, and I was hoping to talk to her one more time before I left. But today, like every other day, she's simply not here. Sometimes I wonder if I imagined her.

The custodian office is quiet this early in the morning. One custodian has a woman seated across from his desk, and another is busy typing something into his data pad. I wait for them to notice me, and when the second male looks up and spots me, he waves me over.
After a devastating car accident, Callie finds herself in a place she least expects, on a slaver’s auction block — in an alien galaxy! Callie rails against her abductors, but in the end she must accept her situation to protect her daughter. Sold into the harem of a wealthy emperor, she must entertain her new owner… but she doesn’t have to fall in love with him.

Emperor Blaze has grown bored with the women in his harem. He wants something new, something different. He wants… Callie. Adored by women, all his life, he’s surprised to find she doesn’t return his infatuation. In fact she doesn’t understand at all what an honor it is to be chosen for his harem. Callie makes it clear she doesn’t want anything to do with him.

His pride will not allow him to beg for the favors of a mere concubine, and he’s never taken a woman against her will. Still, the more she resists, the more determined Blaze is to win her. Can he find a way to bridge the chasm that separates them?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER 1

“Great this is just what I need,” Callie Randall mumbled to herself as the heavens opened up to release a torrential downpour.

Driving in the rain was her least favorite thing in the world, but this trip was unavoidable.

She’d risk a hurricane for her children and one of them was sick enough to warrant a visit to the pediatrician. But when she’d set off tonight, she didn’t think she’d actually have to battle the elements.

At least her other baby, Paris was safely back home with her neighbor while she and London were gone.

Taking a quick look in the rearview mirror to check on London, Callie smiled. The little girl slept peacefully without an apparent care in the world. Sometimes Callie wished she could be two all over again, with no worries instead of being a single mother with twin daughters, a heavily mortgaged house and a struggling dance studio.

Though she didn’t regret having her beautiful daughters, she often wondered what might have been if she hadn’t fallen for Terrell’s bullshit. He was the perfect partner right up until the minute he learned of her pregnancy. He wanted her to abort the baby because they both had goals they’d yet to accomplish.

Both were dancers who wanted to travel the world with their talents. Callie had reluctantly made an appointment with a family planning clinic, thinking herself incapable of taking care of another human being at that point in her life. However, hearing two heartbeats on the fetal monitor quickly changed her mind.

Terrell couldn’t dump her fast enough. He made some platitudes about being there for the girls and sending financial assistance but he essentially ghosted her and his unborn children. Callie later discovered he was living out her dreams in Europe with the dance troupe she’d worked so hard to be a part of.

Alone and pregnant, Callie had left New York to go back home to the small North Carolina town she’d grown up in, only to hear her parents say they told her so. The first year had been a struggle, but when she got a small inheritance from a distant relative, she used it to get her own place and open up a dance studio. She had a few students and hoped that she’d eventually have more, but until business really picked up, she moonlighted as a waitress on the weekends.

Life wouldn’t be such a struggle if Terrell occasionally sent the child support he’d promised, but that sorry bastard always had an excuse. He’d only seen his daughters twice in the two years since their birth and then completely disappeared from their lives. Knowing what a spineless snake he’d become, Callie didn’t miss him but it sucked that her daughters would grow up without a father.

Breathing a sigh of relief when she pulled into the doctor’s office, she shut off the engine. Once she got an umbrella out and shrugged back into her raincoat, Callie walked to the rear passenger side to unbuckle London. “Baby, we’re here.”

London opened her big brown eyes, a dazed expression on her face, before she started to cry. “Hurts, Mommy,” she whined, cupping a small hand over her ear.

Callie suspected her daughter had an ear infection. Paris had the same problem just a couple weeks before. “I know it hurts, baby. That’s why we’re here at the doctor’s office. Now hold onto Mommy’s neck while I lift you up.”

“Do I get a lollypop?”

“Only if you’re really good. Can you be Mommy’s big girl today?”

London nodded, her pigtails bobbing. “I want a red lollypop.”

“We’ll see.”

With her daughter in one arm and her umbrella in the other hand, she raced to the big stone building, trying not to get wet. Once it was London’s turn to see the pediatrician, it was just as Callie had suspected—an ear infection. The doctor gave the toddler some ear drops to ease the immediate ache and Callie a prescription for the pharmacy. Not only did London get her red lollypop for being such a good girl for the doctor, she got a purple one to take home to Paris.

Callie felt a lot better once she and her daughter were back in the car, although the rain hadn’t subsided a bit. London sat strapped in her car seat happily licking her red lollypop while gripping the blue one tightly in her other fist. When Callie had suggested putting the extra lollypop in her purse, London adamantly refused, wanting to be the one to give it to her sister.

London was the younger twin by ten minutes, but she was the nurturer of the two, always making sure her sister was taken care of and content to let Paris take the lead. Paris was the more assertive twin, but just as sweet and had her caring moments as well.

Callie didn’t realize she could love two people as much as she did her twins. People often asked why she chose to name them after European cities, but in her mind, they seemed to be the most logical choices. After all, had she not gotten pregnant she’d be in Europe, dancing. But from the moment she held them in her arms, Callie knew she wouldn’t trade her little treasures for all the trips to Europe in the world.
After she is freed from captivity aboard a Vionian ship, Tessara is given as a gift to a huge, fiercely handsome alien warrior who will have the right to use and enjoy her as he pleases.

Though he is kinder than the brutes from whom she was rescued, Tessara's new master quickly proves himself more than ready to spank her bare bottom whenever her defiance makes it necessary... including in the middle of a thorough, shamefully intimate medical examination with the doctor who just watched as she was mounted and rutted observing every stinging swat.

But now that she's been claimed, Tessara must be trained...

Publisher's Her Alien Guardian is a stand-alone entry in the Galactic Discipline series. The books of the Galactic Discipline series can be read in any order. Her Alien Guardian includes spankings and sexual scenes. If such material offends you, please don't buy this book.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER 1

Tessara

When the battle station’s alert started to sound aboard the Conqueror of Bresla, Lieutenant Jorg was about to drive his rigid penis into my whipped bottom at full length.

I gasped at the blaring alarms, the harsh noise piercing through the haze of pain and pleasure, as at the same time I felt Jorg run the head of his cock between my burning cheeks. For a moment, I thought Jorg might stop, but he merely grunted and tightened his grip on my hips, still preparing to thrust into my smallest hole.

“Don’t you dare move, girl,” he growled, his voice a low rumble that sent shivers down my spine.

I whimpered, torn between anticipation of the burning stretch in my rear and the frantic energy suddenly filling the ship. Through the fog of arousal, I could hear hurried footsteps and shouted orders echoing down the corridors. What was happening? Had the war finally reached us?

Jorg pressed more firmly. I bit my lip, struggling to stay still as he’d commanded. My fingers curled against the hard metal of the punishment bench, seeking an anchor as pleasure and shame warred within me.

“Sir,” I gasped, “the alert—”

His hand cracked across my already tender backside. “Did I give you permission to speak?”

“N-no, sir. I’m sorry,” I whispered, tears pricking at the corners of my eyes.

As Jorg continued to use me, seemingly oblivious to the chaos erupting around us, I couldn’t help but wonder what this new development might mean. Would it put a stop to our endless patrols? Or herald something far worse?

The uncertainty terrified me almost as much as it excited me. Jorg’s manhood pushed again. I fought to keep still, my body trembling with the effort. The alarms continued to blare, but they seemed distant now, drowned out by the sound of flesh meeting flesh and my own muffled whimpers.

Suddenly, Jorg’s comm unit crackled to life. “Lieutenant, report to the bridge immediately!” The captain’s voice was tense, urgent.

I felt Jorg stiffen behind me, his grip on my hips tightening almost painfully. For a moment, I thought he might ignore the order, lost in his pursuit of pleasure. But then he stepped back abruptly, leaving me feeling achingly unfulfilled despite the shame of that treasonous emotion.

“Damn it all,” he muttered, and I heard the rustle of fabric as he quickly straightened his uniform. “Stay right where you are, girl. I’m not finished with you yet.”

His heavy footsteps receded, and I was left alone, still bent over the punishment bench, cuffed at wrists and ankles, my bottom raised and offered to whoever came into the room. I shivered, torn between relief at the reprieve and a perverse disappointment that he hadn’t finished.

The ship lurched suddenly, nearly throwing me off balance. My heart raced. What was happening out there? Were we under attack? The possibilities swirled through my mind, each more terrifying than the last.

I closed my eyes, trying to steady my breathing as the ship continued to shudder around me. The alarms blared on, making it terribly difficult to think of anything but the unknown danger we faced. To distract myself from the growing panic, I forced my mind back to earlier that day, when my careless words had earned me Lieutenant Jorg’s wrath.

We had been on patrol for weeks, circling endlessly above Vion Prime. The once-proud capital of the Vionian Empire now lay in ruins, a testament to the Federation’s might. Our ship, along with the other battered remnants of the Vionian fleet, maintained a tenuous orbit around the planet. The days blurred together in a haze of monotony, tension, and painful, humiliating fucking, as my masters used my body to keep their morale up.

I had been cleaning the bridge, my eyes drawn again and again to the viewscreen and the scarred surface of Vion Prime below. The silence felt oppressive, broken only by the occasional beep of instruments and the low murmur of the crew’s voices.

“Do you think the war is truly over?” I had asked, the words slipping out before I could stop them. “Or are we just… waiting?”

The question had hung in the air, heavy with implications. Lieutenant Jorg’s head had snapped up, his cruel gaze locking onto me with predatory intensity. “What did you say, girl?”

I had known immediately that I had overstepped. A ship’s concubine wasn’t supposed to question such things. But the weeks of uncertainty had worn away at my resolve, leaving me raw and restless.

“I… I’m sorry, sir,” I had stammered, lowering my eyes. “I spoke out of turn.”

But it was too late. Jorg had risen from his chair, his powerful frame seeming to fill the entire bridge. “It seems you need a reminder of your place,” he had growled, grabbing my arm and dragging me toward the punishment bench.

The memory of what followed sent fresh shivers through my body. Jorg had bent me over the bench, securing my wrists and ankles with practiced efficiency. The whisper of leather had made me flinch as he selected the punishment strap, the anticipation building as he took his position behind me.
A'ani clone Aithar has had his heart broken a dozen times on Risda III. No one wants the love he is so very eager to give. But then he meets a human woman named Michaela who runs a dairy farm. She wants to rescue her sister, and to do so, she needs Aithar’s help.

He’s willing to help…in exchange for a date.

Michaela warns him that she’s just using him. He’s fine with being used, as long as it involves kissing. Lots and lots of kissing.

She’s determined not to fall in love. He’s just happy to be of service. No commitments…right? Right.

(I think we all know how this story goes…

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

CHAPTER

ONE

AITHAR

“Oh my god, this butter!” Ruthie moans over something in the mess hall.

“I know, right? It’s so good.” Her sister Ruth makes a happy sound. “Pass me some more dry noodles. They work amazingly as crackers.”

From my spot on the bridge, I hit the “retrieve” command on the comm unit, but there’s no new messages, no incoming chatter, no nothing. Risda III is in the middle of nowhere—what Lord Straik jokingly calls “the armpit of the universe.” It’s very pastoral and remote, but that also means that it’s very, very quiet.

Which is difficult for a communications officer who is desperately trying to stay busy.

Normally, I do not mind the quiet days. With the ship docked at Risda III, there are fewer crew members aboard as Lord Straik and Lady Ruth remain low profile, contemplating their future. His mother is under investigation, and with corsairing no longer an option, the ship’s purpose hangs in limbo. Some of us a’ani crew will be retiring to Port here to run a cantina for humans, but I haven’t yet decided. Initially I thought I’d stay, find a human woman to mate, and start a family.

But it seems that no human women want me. I can only conclude that an a’ani is not prized as a mate when there are others around. And who can blame them? We are a race that is cloned for grunt work. We have no value in the eyes of many. Every time I have attempted to woo a human, someone else has captured her heart. I am seen as a friend only.

I do not mind being a friend.

I do mind being only a friend.

My once-love Melody recently returned to a mesakkah male who stole her heart years ago. Perhaps that is why I feel so lost and alone right now. It is not that I wanted Melody in particular—though I did like her quite a bit—it is that I am feeling rejected by the universe in general. Everyone seems to have someone. Melody has Brux. Lady Ruth has Lord Straik.

“Oh my god, this butter!”

Ruthie has butter.

She also has Kazex, but the sounds the sister-clones are making as they devour the lactation by-product are vaguely disturbing. I feel as if I should not be listening in to this particular conversation…and yet it is not a conversation. It is just them slurping and licking in an obscenely loud fashion and moaning dramatically.

Over butter.

Butter is more desirable than an a’ani mate. I bite back another sigh of pure self-loathing.

“Is that the last of it?” Lady Ruth says, voice mournful. A plas-wrapper crinkles. “Where did it come from? How do we get more?”

More crinkling. “I know Ruth-Ann said she was getting some locally sourced ingredients to see what we can use for the cantina. Maybe this was part of it? Were we not supposed to eat it?”

“I…don’t know.”

A moment later, two human sets of feet make clomping noises down the hall, and I brace myself for a confrontation. I’m the only other person on the ship, other than Lord Straik, who is currently on a long vid-comm with an old Homeworld relative. Ruth and Ruth-Ann appear on the bridge a moment later, both of them with glittering eyes that they fix on me.

“Aithar! Have you seen Ruth-Ann?”

“No.” I want to point out that I am communications. That I am just in charge of anything that comes through the comm unit. But I am also very sour right now and I know that is not the fault of Ruth or her sister-clones. “She is most likely in Port with the others.”

“Probably harassing that poor cookie woman again,” Ruth mutters, glancing at Ruthie. She holds the wrapper out to me. “Do you know anything about the snacks that Ruth-Ann was acquiring for the cantina? Are you familiar with Space Butter Farms?”

“I am not.” I imagine it is a local human farm and I do not visit them. The humans do not appreciate “aliens” visiting their homesteads and it has been made clear to the crew that we should remain in Port unless we have good reason otherwise.

Besides, I have not felt like sightseeing on a planet full of beautiful human females that are not interested in me. I am moping.

“Okay, well, we need more of this butter she got. Like, lots more,” Lady Ruth says, holding the wrapper out to me.

Ruthie nods, her earrings jingling. “Perfect for bar snacks. That’s your domain, isn’t it?”

“It is not,” I remind them. “Ruth-Ann is creating the menu. I am helping her implement it, that’s all.” I’m not as good with construction as the others. My skill lies in comms and I speak and read seventeen alien languages. Unless they need something read or written, I am not much use at the moment.

“Implementation is exactly what we need. This needs implementing!” They thrust the wrapper at me. “Go and buy all of this that you can, please.”
SLADE
I knew as soon as I saw her that she was MINE.

It's called The Lightning Strike--the feeling a Brute gets when he finds his Fated Mate. I knew Aurora was my Fated Mate, but how could I get her?

She's a Princess but worse, she's Untainted with pure human DNA--they don't want anything to do with my kind. I guess I can't blame her--I'm a criminal after all. A member of the Four Families--Clan Cruel to be exact. Sure we dabble in extortion, gun-running, gambling, and illegal cloning. But that doesn't mean I won't do anything in the universe to make the curvy little human mine and taste her until she moans my name and tugs my horns.

Aurora
All I knew about Slade was that he was the Enforcer from Clan Cruel who collected our Tribute every six months. Muscles strained the expensive suits he wore and his golden eyes followed me everywhere. The way he looked at me made me quiver inside so I tried to avoid him.

I had no idea he had decided I was his Fated Mate.

Apparently, he's been watching me for years and now he sees his opportunity--my foolish younger brother has gambled away all the tribute money. With no other way to pay, I'm forced to accept his proposition--Slade wants to marry me and make me bear his heir. For six months he gets to try to impregnate me. If I get pregnant, I have to stay.

I'm not staying.

I might have to marry the huge Brute, but I'll never have his child.

Author's Note--Cruel Union is a forced marriage, Dark Mafia Romance--the first book in the new Brutal Universe Series.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

PROLOGUE

AURORA

HAVING MY ENEMY’S BABY

Goddess of Mercy, I can’t believe I’m doing this, I thought, staring at myself in the antique mirror I had inherited from my mother. A girl with long brown hair and brown eyes stared back. I couldn’t understand what the huge alien Enforcer saw in me—why he wanted me so badly.

By the standards of my people I was past my prime—a spinster never expected to marry. And I wasn’t thin either—my body was too curvy and full-figured to be considered pleasing to most men.

And yet, Slade wanted me.

He wanted me not just as his wife, but as the mother of his heir. He had told me he expected to breed me! How could I allow him to do that? How could I open my legs for my enemy and let him plant his baby inside me? And why did the thought of it give me a dark thrill of desire in the pit of my stomach?

Stop it! I scolded myself. You don’t want this—you don’t want him.

That was true—I was sure of it. I didn’t want anything to do with the Brutal crime lord—the head Enforcer of Clan Cruel. He was huge and frightening and the bulge I saw in his trousers let me know I was in for a wedding night as cruel as the name of his clan. But still, the way he looked at me with those burning golden eyes…

I pushed the thought away and tried to think of something else—anything else. But Slade’s image kept popping up in my mind’s eye. Oh Goddess, how was I ever going to get through this wedding?

And even worse, how was I going to survive the honeymoon?

I closed my eyes and tried to think back. How had this all started? How had I gotten to this point? Was there any way I could have avoided it? And had Slade really been determined to make me his all along?

I just didn’t know…

1

SLADE

HEAD ENFORCER OF CLAN CRUEL

“You sure you’re ready to Bind this girl?” Turk asked me, throwing back another shot of Prithian Sour. His moving neon tats—a sign of Clan Savage—flexed over his dark grey skin as he signaled the bartender for another. “She’s an Untainted you know—she isn’t going to come easy.”

“Yeah—she’s not gonna want anything to do with your ‘Impure’ ass.” Drake laughed and flexed his wings—a sure sign he was from Clan Ruthless. Their Elders had mated with the Dr’gons of Ni’malth Prime—a strategic trade. The result was that the males of their family could fly—pretty fucking useful in battle.

“Like Slade gives a fuck,” Rath growled. He rubbed his curling horns, now painted silver, with one gloved hand. The metallic shine was a sign that the Chieftain of his Family—Clan Vicious—trusted him implicitly. “He’s gonna take her no matter what she wants—she’s his Fated Mate.”

“I’ll take her all right—but I won’t force her,” I said, knocking back my own drink—a Corthian brandy that had a deceptively sweet start and then burned like a fucking fireball going down. “I won’t have to,” I added.

“Oh no?” Drake demanded. “Then how the fuck do you expect to keep her with you?”

“Yeah—I thought you wanted this little human like you wanted your next breath.” Rath adjusted his gloves which ended at the wrist—he wore them to keep from feeling too much. Clan Vicious’ abilities could also be a liability at times.

I clenched my jaw as I tried to keep myself from reacting to my friend’s words. Deep down, I felt the Darkness inside me stirring but I took a deep breath and pushed it back down. My own family—Clan Cruel—had mixed with the Night Walkers of Midnight Prime. The thing inside me was useful for battle…but it could be a problem sometimes.

“I want her so much I fucking ache—she’s all I fucking think about,” I admitted in a low voice. “But a forced Binding isn’t what I’m looking for. In fact, I’m not even planning to Bind her to me at all—not completely anyway.”

Turk shoved away the droid bartender—who was just about to pour his drink—and slammed down his glass to give me a look.

“You’re going to do a partial Binding? What the fuck, Slade? Are you looking to be in pain? Are you some kind of masochist?” His fangs showed, making the last word into a hiss. Clan Savage had Serpentine blood in their ancestry.

“I’m not worried about it, if that’s what you’re asking,” I said coolly, motioning for the bartender. The droid moved forward mechanically, pointing its spout-finger at my drink to refill it with more of the same. “She’ll come around. Untainted or not, no woman can resist their Fated Mate for long.”

“He’s got a point,” Drake said, flexing his wings again. “But still—what a fucking hassle. Why choose an Untainted for your Fated Mate?”

“You know as well as I do that you don’t get to choose,” I pointed out. “She’s just the one—I’ve known from the first minute I saw her.” As I spoke, I ran a hand over my golden horns—a nervous habit that helped sooth the Darkness inside.
