You knew Alan was trouble, but you ignored your instincts.

Right now, my instincts were telling me the man in front of me might be the best fuck I’d ever had. I didn’t think he’d hold back with me like a lot of men did. I was serious when I said I didn’t want nice.

“Home? I was thinking I’d fuck you up against the wall out back.”

That had never sounded so delicious, but I didn’t want to risk Alan being out there watching for me. “If you’re going to pound my ass, I want a mattress under me.”

He grinned. “A mattress isn’t going to save you.”

“Fuck. You’re exactly what I came here for.”

“I doubt that.”

“I don’t.”

“Then don’t say I didn’t warn you.”

I licked my lips. “I rarely listen to warnings.” That was true, and it had gotten me in plenty of trouble, but it had also gotten me what I wanted, including my success as an artist.

The hot man stepped closer. He brushed his thumb over my lips, then skimmed his fingers along my neck. “I’m a controlling bastard. I’ll expect you to do exactly what I say. Can you handle that?”

What the fuck was I getting myself into? “Yes… sir.”

He smiled, which made him look warmer and even more gorgeous. I wanted to kiss him, but I was scared to move. I chewed my lower lip, and heat flared in his eyes. Was I really up for this?

“Changing your mind?”

I shook my head. “Fuck no. I’ll call us a ride.”

“You can do that, or you can ride with me. I haven’t had any alcohol.”

He was coming home with me. I was already taking a risk. Why not just go for it and get in his car too? “All right. You drive.”

“Excellent. That way we can get started in the car.”

I made a strangled sound. “What?”

“You heard me.”

“You can’t focus on the road if you—”

“I assure you I will keep you safe.”

Somehow I believed that, but I also believed I might never be the same after this night. That should be a deterrent, but it wasn’t.

“Okay, then. Let’s go.”

He grinned. “I like that you’re eager.”

“Fuck yes, I am.”

He laughed as he laid a hand against the base of my spine, guiding me toward the door. The crowd parted for us in a way they never would have if it had just been me. Between the man’s size, his presence, and the danger in his eyes, people didn’t dare stand in his way. It was hot as hell.

He drove a black Lincoln Navigator. I whistled as I settled into the passenger seat. “Nice car. What do you do for a living?”

“You really don’t want to know.”

I shivered. Was I in over my head? “Do I get to know your name?”

He seemed to consider that for a moment before finally saying, “Giorgio.”

“I’m Lane.”

“Hmm. That suits you. Now no more small talk.” He started the engine then glanced over at me. “Undo your pants and touch yourself.”

“Wh-what?”

He raised his brows. “Do it.”

“But what if someone sees?”

“Remember when I said I would be in control, and you said—”

He stopped talking when I popped the button and lowered my zipper—a difficult task when I was hard as fuck. Apparently being a little afraid of him was only making me hotter.

“Stroke yourself, but don’t come.”

“I…”

He shook his head. “No words. Just your hand on your cock.”

I was glad when the light turned red as I approached it. It was all I could do not to watch Lane. His eyes were closed, and he’d sunk his teeth into his full lower lip. His cock was rock hard and leaking precum as he slowly moved his hand up and down his length.

Before he’d closed his eyes, I’d seen a touch of fear there. He was wondering if he’d made a mistake getting into the car with me. He might have, but I’d make sure he could handle what I wanted to give him. By the time I was ready to push inside his lean body, he’d be begging for it and willing to do anything to get off.

I needed that—to make a man beg, surrender, let me use him. I needed to drive into him, to be so caught up in fucking I didn’t think about the shit I’d been through in the last few weeks.

When I’d told Lane he didn’t want to know what I did, I wasn’t kidding. I was an assassin. A damn good one. I’d killed with the government’s blessing for years as part of an army spec ops team. I’d seen some ugly shit, but on my last mission, things had gone so wrong I knew I had to get out. Since then, I’d used my skills as a freelancer. Mostly I worked for an organization called Vigilance. You couldn’t exactly say we were the good guys, but we were far better than those we took down.
