She looks so fucking beautiful with her hand on her belly, protecting my baby. She's always been stunning, but when she's carrying my kids, she's ethereal.
I drop my helmet and jog toward her, my heart thumping the same way it always does when she's close. She's always the only thing I see, the only thing I want. Even after two years with my ring on her finger, it still doesn't feel real.
I think I'll always feel like this is a dream. How could I not when she's so fucking perfect? Every moment of the last two years has been full of happiness. She's given me a perfect baby boy, with another on the way. She's given me her heart, her soul, and more memories than I know what to do with.
Mostly, she's given herself to me, every inch, over and over again. We don't hide, not from each other, not from anyone. I fuck my way into her soul and shatter her apart. She tells me every thought, every fantasy, every dream, and every fear.
She is my world. And goddamn, it feels good not to have to hide it.
"You won!" she squeals as I scoop her into my arms, swinging her around in circles.
The crowd only grows louder.
They love her. They love the way I look at her. They love the way I never stop kissing her. They love the way she laughs, and the way she smiles, and how she's always on the sidelines, screaming my name whether we're winning or losing. They love her because it's impossible not to love her.
"You hear that, sweetness?" I whisper against her lips, my palm cradling her belly. "They're cheering for you."
She smiles at me like I'm every dream she ever had come to life. "No," she murmurs, wrapping her arms around my shoulders. "They're cheering for you, stepbrother."
"Husband," I groan, kissing her so deeply the rest of the world fades away. "You mean husband."
"Yeah," she whispers against my lips, smiling. "That's what I meant."
