Indie eyed the hoverboard with interest.
How hard could it be?
Technically, she knew she wasn’t allowed to ride it on her own. But the guys always seemed to come up with some excuse when they were around for her not to ride it.
She was gonna do it. Slade was in his office. Spencer was out for a run. Rock and Quaid were down in the gym and Hope was having a nap.
Perfect time for a bit of fun.
Turning it on, she held onto the wall as she stepped onto it. She was wearing a pair of really cute cut-off denim shorts today along with a white T-shirt with a rainbow on the front. Her hair was up in two ponytails. And her pink cardigan had little pompoms all over it.
Hope had been home for two weeks. And she was doing so well.
The guys hadn’t killed Alaistair. Instead, they’d completely destroyed him. It hadn’t even taken that much effort. Nope, he’d done most of it himself. Financially, he’d already been in trouble. After some deeper digging, Shepherd had discovered that he’d been defrauding a number of his clients. So he’d sent that to the cops as an anonymous tip. Alaistair was now in jail with no friends willing to bail him out. Or even visit him.
The guys wouldn’t tell her much else, but she was certain they would ensure he had a truly miserable time in jail.
Couldn’t have happened to a nicer guy.
No one knew what had happened to the pen drive. The only guy to survive the car crash had been killed in prison. Kind of suspicious, but as she saw it, all threats had been eliminated.
Meaning she was free to live an amazing life with her guys.
She’d had time to recover, to get used to having a baby, to living with four men. To days filled with laughter and fun.
And hot sex.
Damn. The sex was off the charts.
There was just one issue.
Rock.
He still hadn’t fucked her and that was going to have to change. She’d given him enough time and now she was getting frustrated.
Indie leaned forward and the hoverboard jolted. She nearly fell off, catching her balance at the last moment.
Oh my God! She was doing it! She was moving!
She sped down the hallway. All right, she probably wasn’t going that fast. It just felt like it. An excited gasp left her as she headed into the living room.
“Indie!” Something smashed and she glanced over to see Spencer standing there, staring at her in shock with something broken at his feet. When had he gotten home? “Stop!”
When she turned back around, she saw that the floor-to-ceiling windows were right in front of her.
Oh God! Was she was going to smash right through them?
“Indie, no!” Rock roared, shocking her with his yell.
Then a thick arm wrapped around her middle, pulling her off the hoverboard. The hoverboard hit the window.
Indie couldn’t catch her breath. That could have been a complete disaster.
Bollocking bollocks.
She stared up into Rock’s pale face. He set her down, his face growing stern as he ran his hands all over her before pulling back to sign.
Are you hurt? Are you all right? Where are you hurt?
It took a moment for her brain to understand what he was saying. He looked so frantic, worried.
“I’m fine,” she replied. “I’m not hurt. You caught me in time. I’m good.”
Something shifted in his face. It morphed from worry to anger.
Uh-oh.
Rock rarely got angry.
What were you thinking? You could have badly hurt yourself!
“I don’t . . . I don’t know. I wanted to try. It was fun.” But it could have ended in disaster. Still, it wasn’t her fault!
The darn hoverboard had a mind of its own. It didn’t realize she was a ninja with ninja moves.
Over the past fortnight her Little had started appearing more and more. It was like she now that she felt safe, she could just let go of her inhibitions and fears.
And just have fun.
The guys would say she was having a bit too much fun. They didn’t realize how hard it was to be a proper ninja. There were things that she just had to do to keep her ninja status. Like not touching the floor for a day because it was lava.
That had nearly ended up with her falling on her head.
Rock’s gaze narrowed. Then he picked her up and carried her to the couch. He sat and flipped her over so she was lying on his lap.
Face down.
Uh-oh.
She realized too late how much trouble she was in.
“Da, no!” she cried, kicking her feet as he reached around under her to undo her shorts. Then he drew them and her panties down. “No spanking!”
“Oh, you’re getting yourself a spanking,” Spencer growled as he appeared next to them. He sat on the coffee table, watching .
She tried to do a ninja move and roll off Rock’s lap, but he seemed to sense her intention and grabbed hold of her.
