“We going in from the back?” she asks, her heels clicking across the concrete. I hear doors open and close in the background but ignore them because seriously… this fucking girl.

“I kind of want to eat you right now…” I flick my finger into the ties of her crop top.

“Later.” She leans up on her toes, her lips grazing mine. She smirks against them. “But I want to play first.”

“What, like here? Or play as in later? Because I gotta say, and I think I speak for both Kyrin and me, that neither of us is really into the whole necrophilia thing…”

Her eyes roll to the back of her head and I get flashes of her face when she orgasms. “I want to play here.”

“Okay yeah, I see the hype…” Nate chuckles in the background, and I finally turn to find Bishop, Nate, Brantley, and Abel watching Lilith’s and my exchange.

“This is nothing… you should see the thing she does—”

“—fucking hell,” Brantley growls, cutting me off. “Are you fucking done? I’ve got to be home by ten because Saint is making this weird dessert thing to try out.”

“Bro…” I mutter.

“Don’t fucking bro me,” he jokes, reaching into his pocket and pulling out his gun. He checks the chamber before flicking off the safety clip. “You don’t know chicks and their pregnancy hormones.”

Everyone falls silent.

“Anywaaaayyyy.” Lilith rakes her long hair away from her face and it falls over the rest of her hair like silk. “Can we go drop some bodies, or what?”

“We’re going to be friends.” Nate hooks his arm in Lilith’s, directing her ahead and I have to bite back a possessive growl that wants to unleash.

As we head toward the back of a fishing dock and old, beat-up, abandoned building with colorful graffiti sprayed over the concrete, Brantley falls into step beside me. “You know she’s going to be a full-time job, right?”

“Yeah,” I say, smirking. “That’s why she’s both of our problem.”

“Fucking hell. You ready for that?” The sun has long since set, so I find myself watching the ground to make sure I don’t step into, or onto, anything shady.

“What, the throuple life?” I think over both of them and how much they have already changed my life in such a short space of time. “I could never picture myself with one without the other. So whatever that means, I’m going to go ahead and say yeah, bro. Yeah, I am ready for it.”

Bishop’s hand is on my other shoulder. “Proud of you, but who the fuck would have thought. You not just with a boyfriend, but a girlfriend, too.”

“What do you mean!” I pause, and Bishop continues to laugh as he carries on ahead. “I’m the fucking player in this group. How are you not all surprised?”

“Eh! Wrong!” Nate calls out over his shoulder as if he’d been listening all along. Which means it was close enough for Lilith to hear, but it’s not like it’s anything I haven’t told her before. “I was the player in the group.”

“You punched in your player ticket the second Tillie put your dick on a leash, and you damn well know it!” We’re being way too loud for people who are rolling up in to fucking ambush someone.

“It’s amusing that you don’t think your dick is also on a leash, Eli…” Lilith throws back. I can almost hear Nate’s laugh mocking me.

“Yeah?” I fire back, a smug smirk on my face even though I know she can’t see me. “But it’s what you do while holding that leash that my dick likes very. Fucking. Much.”

“Still disgusting. Good to know.” Bishop shakes his head, but we all freeze in our spot when Nate and Lilith halt unexpectedly, their hands raised to the side.

A metal door slamming open and shut loudly claps through the air. I draw out my gun from the holster in my jacket, unlocking the safety while pulling Bishop back by his arm. “You know what to do if anything happens…”

“Bro, yes.”

“Good.” I drag my arm up and jog ahead, making sure I’m in front of Lilith as we continue to walk between the shadows. The sound gets louder and louder as we round a cast-iron wall. I press my back against the edges.

“Are you guys going to tell me why you’re all here?” Lilith whispers harshly, strapping something around her knuckles. I snatch her hand in mine and bring it closer to my face.

“Brass Knuckles Really? Where’s your fucking gun, Lil?”

She tugs her hand out of my grip to strap her other. “I am my gun. And why the hell are the EKC boys here? No offense. I don’t mind the eye candy…”

I look away from her and up to the building we’re aiming for, tucked behind the abandoned shed we’re pushed against. “Because we will need backup.”
