“Morning, baby,” he says, his voice thick.

I roll over to get a good look at him in the early morning light. “Morning.”

“How you feeling?”

“Better.”

He nods. “It was an emotional day.”

“Yeah. Royce, I’m sorry that I let her get to me. I just couldn’t stomach the thought of losing you, especially to her. After everything that she put you through.” Anger stirs inside me, thinking about how I acted, how I let her convince me of her lies.

“You’re here, where you belong. That’s all that matters.” He kisses me softly. His hands roam over my body, and just like that, the need I have for him ignites into a burning inferno.

“I need you,” I say against his lips.

“Tell me what you need.”

“You.”

“You can do better than that, baby. Tell me what you need.” Grabbing his hand, I guide it between my legs. His fingers trace through my folds. “Look at you, beautiful, wet and ready for me,” he murmurs against my lips. He deepens the kiss as he slides a finger inside me. “That feel good, baby?”

“More,” I say, nodding.

“More of this?” he asks, sliding in a second finger.

“Y-Yes,” I pant.

“I need something too, Sawyer. Will you give me what I need?” he asks.

“Anything,” I say, losing my mind from his magical hands.

“Anything?” he asks.

“I’ll give you anything. Just please don’t stop,” I say, gripping the sheets.

His fingers slow, and I groan. “I’ll keep going, but I need something from you first,” he says, kissing the corner of my mouth.

“Tell me,” I say, frustrated.

I open my eyes to find him staring down at me. “Move in with me. Make this our home.” My mouth opens, but no words come out. “If this isn’t where you see us living, we’ll look for something else, but I don’t want to wait any longer to start our future.”

I blink back the tears that threaten to fall. “I love this house.”

“Then help me make it our home.”

He’s watching me waiting for my reply. The look in his eyes tells me he’s worried about what my answer will be. There’s something else, though. Something that looks a lot like hope, and that’s what has me nodding my agreement.

“Okay.”

“Yeah?” he asks, his smile wide.

“I have one condition.”

“Name it.” Zero hesitation.

“Make love to me. Show me.”

“My pleasure,” he says, reaching for a condom. I watch as he rips the small packet with his teeth and rolls it over his hard length, before moving to settle between my thighs. Placing his lips next to my ear, he murmurs, “I love you,” as he pushes inside of me.

“I love you,” I echo as he slides in and out. Over and over, he sets a slow torturous pace as his hands and lips claim every inch of my skin that they can reach. My hands roam over his back as he fills me, in more ways than one.

My heart is full.

“Who has you smiling?” Royce asks from where he sits next to me on his couch.

“Grant.” I laugh.

“What’s so funny?”

“This.” I turn my phone so he can see the screen.

“Ugh,” he groans. “Tell my little brother that I’ll remember this day,” he says as he takes in the image of him as a little boy on my phone.

“It’s cute,” I tell him.

“I’m naked, pissing in the wind, holding a NERF gun.”

“It’s cute, and you were what three? Four?”

“I don’t know, but I’m sure Mom does.” I go back to looking at the image when I hear him talking. “Hey, fucker, can you not send my girl naked pictures of me when I was little?” He pauses. “Remember this, Grant, payback’s a bitch.” He shakes his head, ending the call.

“Oh, come on, don’t be mad. I have pictures,” I assure him. “They’re packed away in my apartment, but I can show you if it will make you feel better.”

“Much. You know what else would make me feel even better?”

“What’s that?”

“Let’s go to your place and start packing. We can load up the first load.”

“You really want to spend the weekend moving?”

“Yes. I want to spend the weekend moving my sexy-ass girlfriend into our home.”

I groan. “I hate packing and moving.”

“You pack, baby. I’ll call my brothers, and we’ll have you moved in no time. Actually, I can just hire it to be done.” He picks up his phone. “I can have movers there today.”

“It’s Saturday afternoon.”

“Money talks, sweetheart. Now, what’s it going to be? Me and my brothers, or movers?”

“Let’s just you and I go over and start.”

“Deal.” He stands from his seat on the couch and stretches his long, tattooed arms over his head. “Let’s get moving, babe. Time’s wasting.”

“Fine,” I grumble, trying to act annoyed when I’m secretly thrilled. Something tells me it’s not really that big of a secret when he smirks.

Half an hour later, we’re in my apartment with boxes in tow. “I don’t know where to start.”
