“I learned to yell. I think everyone suggested that.”

“Good. I’m glad it’s emblazoned in your mind. There are some people who enjoy being treated like Daddy Leo acted.” He held up his hand to stop her next question. “He jumped over the most important step, though. When playing at a club with someone new, there has to be a negotiation of the scene. He shouldn’t have assumed his actions turned you on. He was totally selfish—the exact opposite of what a Daddy should be.”

“I don’t really know what a Daddy should be like. I just know I didn’t like the way Daddy Leo treated me. I go to Blaze to play with the other Littles. No one has seemed right for me.”

“What time are you closing the shop?” Bear asked.

Surprised by the change in topic, Daisy looked at him, trying to follow his train of thought. “At the normal time, eight. Why?”

He sighed. “It looks like Ellie is going to sell most of the cupcakes we prepared for today. I need to work here tonight to help her restock. Tomorrow night I need to be at Blaze before you close. Will you come there when you get off work so we can talk about what you need from a Daddy?”

“Yes. You told me to save Friday night for you. I promise I will. And what are you looking for in a Little girl?” She forced herself to be brave.

Bear held her gaze with his. “From my side, it’s fairly easy. I want you to be honest about what you want and need. I’ll also require that you’re romantically involved only with me.”

“I don’t want to have anyone else in my life,” she whispered.

“That’s good, Baby girl. Because I don’t share what’s mine.”

Daisy nodded her head as those powerful words rang through her. He considered her his. Her lips tilted up in a pleased smile. “I like the sound of that. You know… That I’m yours.”

Tightening the supporting arm Bear had wrapped around her back, he pulled her in to place a soft kiss on her lips. When Daisy leaned forward eagerly, tilting her head to request another, the immense man accepted her invitation, deepening the kiss to taste the sweetness inside.

The desire that had kindled inside her as he held her on his lap flared hotter. Daisy wiggled closer, needing to feel his hard body against hers. Her nipples hardened as she felt herself becoming wet. Squirming on his lap, she discovered proof of his desire as his shaft stiffened against her. Confidence welled within her that this was not a game for Bear. He had picked her.

The fiery heat consumed them, making Daisy forget where they were. When Bear ripped his mouth from hers, breathing heavily, she objected with an escaping breathy protest, “Wait!”

Bear chuckled. “Did you forget where we are, Baby girl?” He rubbed his nose playfully against hers. “We’re behind Little Cakes. I don’t think you want Daddy to take things further where anyone could see us.”

She cringed as she glanced around. He was right. “Sorry, Teddy.”

He rubbed her back. “No reason to be sorry, Daisy. I enjoy kissing you. Will you do me a favor, Little one?”

She nodded. She’d do anything he asked. Was that reasonable at this stage in their relationship? They’d only officially declared their interest in each other four days ago, and they hadn’t had much time to explore the spark yet, even though Bear seemed one-hundred percent certain she was his.

She didn’t disagree. She’d lusted after the big man for a long time, too shy to put herself out there and take a risk. Or perhaps she’d been afraid of being shot down, which would have seriously hurt her feelings.

His hand slid up to her neck. “You’re thinking awfully hard, Baby girl. Was my question too tough to answer?”

His eyes were dancing with laughter. “No, Teddy. I’ll do any favor you ask me.”

“Good. I want you to call me Daddy. Can you do that?”

She smiled and nodded. She could totally do that.

He lifted a brow. “Want to try it out?”

She giggled. “Daddy.”

He hugged her close. “I like the sound of that.” When he leaned back again, his expression was serious. “Hey, I forgot to tell you something. Did you see that the police arrested one of those thugs about an hour ago?”

She widened her eyes. “No. Where?”

“Here. The four of them came in and started harassing everyone. Three of them took off. The cops arrested the ring leader. They feel confident they will find the others soon. I thought you might have noticed the commotion out front.”

She shook her head. How had she missed all that? “I guess that happened during my busy part of the day. There was a rush earlier.”

Her mind raced as she remembered the flowers at the back door that morning. If those thugs had come back to harass her and pulled the flowers out of the trash, at least she now knew it wouldn’t happen again, especially if the other three got picked up soon.
