Eyes fluttering open, my vision takes a little longer than usual to clear.

The moment it does, I slowly begin to recall the events that led me here. The biker drugged me. I figured he would have a plan, but I’ll give the man credit, he caught me off guard with that one. I thought I’d at least get a little bit of a fight happening. Either way, here we are. Upon first glance, it seems that we’re in a motel room, and not a nice one, if I’m being truthful.

The walls are a pale-yellow color, and the curtains are hideously brown. The carpet, well, that is as old and faded as it could possibly be, but if I were to guess, I’d say it was once red, maybe. Turning my head to the side, I see Mex sitting on a chair beside the bed, his booted feet up as he leans back, staring at me. His face is slightly shadowed by the dim light, and man, does he look good.

“Can you get your dirty boots away from my face?” I mutter, my voice croaky.

He puts his feet down and leans forward, placing his elbows on his knees, his eyes scanning over me. “Have a nice sleep?”

I attempt to roll my eyes, but my head hurts too much so I stop mid action. Reaching up, I press my open palms over my face and groan. “Quit fucking drugging me, it makes me feel like crap.”

“Quit runnin’ away and I won’t have to drug you.”

Slowly, I manage to push myself up. Mex is clearly confident in his ability to stop me escaping because I’m not even cuffed. I’m starting to wonder if he’s as good as I suspect, because why the hell am I not tied down?

“I could leap up and run out that door before you even had the chance to stop me,” I point out. “No cuffs?”

He grins, a slight tip of his lips as he nods toward the door. I glance at it and see a rather large padlock on it. Oh, well, I suppose that’ll keep me in. For now, at least. He needs to think he’s got me right where he wants me, but really, I’m working for the enemy and I’m going to bring down his entire club by the end of it. I wish I was sorry, but, well, I’m not.

It's my job, after all.

“We can do this the easy way ...”

I point a finger at Mex and finish the sentence before he can, “Or the hard way.”

His jaw tics.

I never promised I’d make it easy on him.

He has no idea what a royal pain in the ass I can truly be. I will drive him absolutely crazy and not think twice about it. Oh, it’ll be so much fun.

“You think I’m fuckin’ with you, but I’m not.”

“And you think I’m scared of you,” I throw back, “but I’m not.”

“I can change that.”

I snort.

Sliding out of the bed, I put my feet over the side and face him. We’re close now, only inches apart and it’s hard for me not to imagine doing filthy things to him in this room. Maybe I’ll have my way with him, just to enjoy my time here a little longer.

“I doubt it. Is there a shower in this place?” I ask, my voice breathy as our eyes stay locked together.

“There is, but you’re not goin’ in there alone. Don’t trust you.”

I shrug, pushing to my feet.

I wobble, not realizing that I’m still drugged, and my body slowly topples toward Mex. Reacting quickly, his hand lashes out and stops me from falling. Pushing to his feet, keeping his hand on me, he straightens me until I can gather my footing.

“I really, really hate being drugged,” I mutter.

He doesn’t answer me. Instead, he guides me to the shower.

Stepping into the small green bathroom, I scrunch my nose in disgust. “You could have at least picked a nicer place to hold me captive.”

“I saw the bar you were drinkin’ at, don’t act like you’re fancy.”

I jerk my arm from his grips and stare around the room. Nothing but a toilet and a very small shower in here. He’s already made sure nothing can be used as a weapon. Turning toward him, I cross my arms. “Are you going to stand there and stare at me, or are you going to act like a gentleman and turn around?”

“Nothin’ gentlemanly about me.”

“That’s what I figured,” I mutter. “Well, I’ll take my clothes off in there.”

I point to the shower, and then walk toward it, sliding the screen open. It’s frosted glass, so he can see my outline but he can’t see anything else. I close it, and then begin taking my clothes off, tossing them over the top at him. I would have much preferred to undress in front of him, really tease the situation, but I have a little problem. If I did that, then he would know I have a burner phone tucked into my panties.
