Mrs. MacLeod cries out, starting to shake, and Dallas presses his fingers to mine again, speeding up my pace.
It was the same for me. Fucking him was the only time I’ve ever been someplace I never wanted to leave. With all the shit we did—in beds and cars and showers—I never felt guilt or shame like some of the people do when they leave here.
I ran to him to feel something pure. Over and over again.
What a fucking joke.
“But if you weren’t Callum Ames,” he breathes out, “and you weren’t his son and you weren’t a rich prick, it wouldn’t have been fun at all.”
Sarai comes, gasping and whimpering, and I slide my fingers inside of her. Dallas watches me curl them, rubbing her G-spot as I show him I can take care of a woman just fine.
The orgasm ebbs away, and she mews, letting out this delighted little laugh.
“I’m shocked,” Dallas tells me. “I actually thought you might not know what to do with a woman.”
Pushing her off, I massage my cock, everyone around us a void I don’t even see. “If I weren’t Callum Ames and his son and a rich prick,” I coo, “I wouldn’t be so hard to replace in your life, nor would we always be paying your fucking salary.” I lower my voice. “Five years ago and five years from now.”
He may think he has power, but he doesn’t.
I stand up, forcing him back as I adjust myself. “And no, I don’t fail to satisfy women.” I lower my voice to a whisper. “But the only person I’ve been inside of is you.”
He blinks, and I inch closer, throwing his own words back at him. “You remember.”
I really loved letting him have control most of the time, but he was indulgent with me when he let his guard down.
Taking a hot towel from the attendant, I wipe my hands, the bells of the clock behind me chiming.
I meet his eyes. “Dallas?”
He stands with his fists tight.
“Run,” I tell him.
His face falls, Jerome chuckling as we all stand to face the Jaeger who’s no longer welcome in the Wolfe Room and will be breaking curfew as soon as he steps outside and those chimes stop.
He backs up slowly, eventually charging out of the room and disappearing through the door.
I rip open my vest and shirt, peeling them off my body, because it’s gonna be fucking hot out there tonight.

Five Years Ago
“What do you think you’re doing?” Olivia Jaeger chokes out, fighting against our hold.
Milo and I grip her in the back seat as my friend Delaney drives. Vincent watches us from the passenger side.
“She saw you!” Liv cries. “She saw your faces.” She looks around at all of us. “She’s calling the police by now.”
“You think so?” I taunt. “What will the police do to me?”
I force myself to look amused at how clueless she is, but I know I’m driving off a cliff here. We’ve stolen Dallas’s sister out of a limo after her nice night with Clay, coming out to the whole damn town, both of them in love and shit.
I don’t care about any of that.
I’m going to fuck her and show him that he doesn’t have to pay for his mistakes. His family will.
She closes her mouth, staring at me and knowing that the police aren’t a threat to me.
I peer over at her. “I think she called your brothers instead, don’t you think?”
Clay’s instinct would’ve been to get Liv back. She wouldn’t have trusted the police, given who my father is.
And I know that. I know exactly what’s coming.
“That’s what you want,” Liv whispers. “You’re drawing them in. You want his attention.”
Did she actually think this was about her?
That morning when my father confronted Dallas and me at the visitors center was the last time Dallas spoke to me.
Or spoke to me kindly.
The next weekend, I came over to the Bay like we talked about, but he didn’t want me anymore. Already had someone new in his sights.
Whenever I tried to catch him alone, he’d spit awful words at me or laugh. He stopped joining his brothers to work on our pool and lawn, and seemed to go out of his way to rub women—and other men—in my face.
I hated myself. It was like I’d imagined everything.
So after months of trying to bury it in my head, I couldn’t ignore it anymore. I wanted to make him hurt.
Starting with his sister, who waltzed around school as if she wasn’t a constant reminder of him.
We struck a deal. She’d play at Fox Hill with us tonight—we’d even get her a girl.
And I’d give her a contact and help her save the Bay for her family.
I knew she was lying when she finally agreed to this. She was playing me.
But a deal is a deal. I’m just making sure she keeps her end of the bargain.
