Right now, at this very moment, their mistakes didn’t matter. Nothing else mattered. Just the two of them. Forever. For a lifetime. They were the only two people that mattered in the world.

Matthew broke the kiss and pressed his face against her neck. “Fuck! I’m not going to last.” He fucked her even harder, pushing in deep and hard. Then he tensed up and she felt every single pulse and jet as he came.

His hands surrounded her and completely wrapped around her, holding her close, not stopping.

“I love you, Luna,” he said.

They were words she had heard so many times, and all she wanted to do was say them to him, but they stuck in her throat. She had no words. She loved Matthew, so much, but she was scared to say them. Whenever he told her that he loved her, he never stuck around. There was always a reason for him to leave. What would he do if she actually said them back?

Would he stick around? Would it make him finally run away?

Luna didn’t want to risk it.

Instead, she kissed the top of his head and wondered what the hell the morning would bring.

Matthew knew how to cook breakfast. He’d been learning from Holly for years. His stepmom was an amazing cook, but that was why she had the blog with her best friend Mary. Both women had taught him a lot. This was the first time he’d woken up beside a woman. Luna had refused to go upstairs, so they had slept in the living room.

They hadn’t had sex any other time than the once because he only had one condom. He had offered to go check through her parents’ stash, but she refused, telling him never. That he was to never go checking through their stuff and certainly not for sex. So the order of the day was to eat, lick Luna’s pussy again, and then get condoms. Lots and lots of condoms.

Or you can knock her up.

No, he wasn’t going to do that.

He’d been tempted last night, but he’d been a good boy. The condom remained on, and he hadn’t filled Luna with his spunk to get her pregnant. It wasn’t a good way to start any relationship.

Checking through the fridge, he saw some bacon and eggs, along with some fresh tomatoes. He took them out of the fridge and located a couple of frying pans. The coffee pot was already on, and the scent filled the air. He needed coffee.

Before he got to work, he glanced at his cell phone and saw there were no missed calls. The club wasn’t waiting to hear back from him, and there was nothing from his dad.

Back to work on his food. He had no doubt Luna would wake up soon. All he’d done was grab his boxers. For several minutes, when he woke up, all he’d done was look at her and watch her. Even in the morning, she made his heart freaking sing. This woman—not girl—woman. They weren’t kids anymore.

With the frying pans on the stove, he started to heat two of them and added a little fat to another to warm up for the eggs. He took several rashers of bacon out and placed them in a dry skillet. This was what Holly did, never adding more grease. She would then talk for ten or fifteen minutes on how much grease was used, and he learned not to add when it wasn’t needed.

Once the bacon was in cooking, he got started on the eggs, cracking two inside a cup, checking for shell. Then he sliced open the tomatoes and removed the hard stalk at the top. Placing them on the pan, he allowed them to sizzle, and once they were a nice golden color, he removed them and seasoned them with some pepper and a pinch of salt.

“You’re still here,” she said.

Matthew turned to see Luna had pulled on his shirt, which looked good on her. Glancing down her body, he was a little disappointed to see she’d put on some panties as well.

A little let down, but he got it.

“Morning,” he said.

She cleared her throat, and he quickly moved to the coffee pot, pouring her a mug. “Here.”

“You didn’t leave.”

“I’m making you breakfast.” He knew what she had expected. He’d left her so many times before. This time, he was proving to be different.

“I can see that.” She lifted her head over the rim of her coffee cup. “It smells good.”

He wanted to kiss her, but he didn’t want to ruin the tomatoes or the bacon, which were so close to being done. Turning back to the food, he added the eggs to the pan, which wasn’t too hot. It was just at the right temperature.

He lined a plate with some paper towels and placed the bacon on it, finished frying up the eggs, and then plated up.
