I frown, showing my displeasure.

“I can’t in good conscience let you roll around on those tires because sweetheart, you could seriously hurt yourself or someone else. It’s fine. I’ll put a new set on, and I’ll use the cheapest brand we keep on-hand here. You need them, and you can pay me back later.” Of course, I’m lying through my teeth. I’m putting the best tires on this VW so that the beautiful girl stays safe. Meanwhile, Olly bites her lip and studies my face. Eventually, she nods.

“Okay, if you’re sure, Mr. Benning. Thank you so much. You don’t understand how much I appreciate this.”

“It’s no problem, and please, call me Jason. Are you going to wait here for the car or do you need to get to work?”

She inhales deeply, that big bosom rising. “Is it okay if I leave it? I do have to get to work actually.”

“Sure, no problem. I’ll drop the car off for you later tonight.”

“No, I can pick it up!” she immediately says. “You’ve done enough for me already.”

I shake my head.

“I insist. Let’s just get some paperwork done for the oil change, and you can give me your address.”

She nods as I stalk to the office to get a clipboard of the necessary forms. Everything looks normal right now, but what Olly doesn’t realize is that I’m burning up from the inside out. I yearn to kiss those sweet lips and to skim my hands over her generous curves. Fuck, I want to bend her over her VW and give it to her good while making her scream and moan with pleasure. But I do none of that. Instead, we sign the papers and shake hands, as if we’re strangers. Little does Olly know … but I’m her stalker.

I nervously tap my nails on the edge of the couch while I wait, my eyes trained on the window that faces my driveway. After all, leaving my VW with Jason Benning was easy, but I can’t stop thinking about him. He was so gorgeous when I stopped by the shop this morning. He’s huge, with thick black hair, shoulders like a bull, and clear blue eyes that seemed to know me before I even stepped out of my car. But how is that possible? After all, we’ve never met.

I lift my hand to my face and scrub my features a bit. It’s a nervous habit I’ve been trying to get rid of, although without much luck. I think I’ll always be a nervous wreck when it comes to dealing with handsome men, and Jason Benning is no exception. Maybe I should talk to my therapist about that. Perhaps Dr. Steinbeck can give me something for my anxiety to pair with the anti-depressants. I’ll be a walking medicine cabinet, but oh wait, I’m already that.

Suddenly, the familiar sputter of my VW Rabbit fills the air and I leap from the couch, flinging open the door before the car’s come to a halt.

“Thank you so much,” I say breathlessly, skipping out onto the driveway. “You really didn’t have to deliver the car. I could have come to pick it up.”

The huge man gets out of the Rabbit, dwarfing it with his size. Then he grins, making my pulse flutter.

“It’s no problem, sweetheart. I wanted to deliver it.”

I flush. Really? He wanted to come? Even more, I can barely think because Jason’s so gorgeous. Those blue eyes look at me again, seeing straight to my soul, and he’s so enormous that I feel like I’m standing in his shadow.

“Um, would you like to come in?” I ask quickly, my heart racing. “It’s the least I can do for your trouble. I made cookies, if you’d like some.”

He grins, as if reading my mind.

“That would be great. Thank you.”

The cottage feels like a dollhouse with Jason’s large frame filling up the small space. He sits down at my kitchen table, making it look absolutely spindly, and I wonder if the chair’s going to give out beneath his huge mass. But I just smile brightly while bringing out a tray of chocolate chip cookies I baked after work.

“They smell delicious,” he remarks in a low voice.

I nod.

“Thanks, it’s my mom’s recipe so it’s all from scratch. None of that boxed stuff because those things are filled with chemicals. Here, try one.”

The handsome man takes a bite and then literally groans with pleasure. “Holy shit. Tell your mother she’s a genius. What’s the secret here?”

I giggle. “It wouldn’t be much of a secret if I told you now, would it? But would you like some tea to go with your cookies?”

One black brow flies up, and suddenly, I realize that Jason probably doesn’t drink tea. He’s more of a beer or hard alcohol type of guy, but he nods.

“Sure. I’d love some.”
