I pulled him toward me, needing more contact. Emerson read what I wanted, pushing up on his knees so his back was against my chest. I wrapped my arms around him, squeezed tight, maybe too tight, my movements slowing as I fucked up and into him. He turned his head so our mouths could meet, our tongues dancing together while we took pleasure from each other.

My fist wrapped around his cock, stroked. He trembled against me, and I just couldn’t believe I did that to him, that I could make a man like Emerson feel so good.

His body tensed some, and he fell forward again on his hands and knees. I took advantage, taking him hard and fast, losing myself inside him and the way he made me feel.

Emerson jacked himself, the room filled with heavy breathing, slapping bodies, and sex thick in the air. My balls were full, so ready to release.

“Fuck…fuck!” Emerson cried out. His hole tightened around me, milking my dick and pulling my load from my balls. I shot, knowing he was doing the same, my release filling him up with each pulse of my cock.

We collapsed to the bed together. It didn’t matter that we were messy, all sweat and cum. We lay there, wrapped up in each other, me pulling him to me as tightly as I could.

“Stay,” I whispered.

“Sam…”

“Stay. Just tonight. I know it can’t mean more than that.”

He nodded against me, clung to me the way he’d done earlier on the floor, like he needed this just as much as I did, if not more.

I reached over, managed to turn out the light.

We slept like that the rest of the night.

CHAPTER TWENTY-THREE

Emerson

I liked the smell of me on Sam’s skin. That was my first thought when I woke up with a warm body tangled up with mine. It felt like he had more than two arms and two legs, like he was grabbing and touching me everywhere and in any way he could. I’d never slept like this with another man. I’d shared a bed, of course. Daniel and I had done it for years. But this was different. Neither Daniel nor I had been cuddly. Neither of us had been the type to cling, both liking our space. He used to complain that I was hot, like sleeping with a furnace, and it bothered him. Clearly, it didn’t bother Sam.

Jesus, last night had been…I didn’t know what it had been. Like this perfect, impossible thing I couldn’t understand or grasp onto. Every time I tried, it slipped through my fingers, making me wonder if maybe the words hadn’t yet been created to describe it. Or for all I knew, maybe it wasn’t even real.

But if that was the case, then it meant I couldn’t overthink it either. So…I didn’t. I just let go, gave in to whatever this was and the feeling he’d given me last night. I hadn’t ever opened up to another person the way I had with Sam, hadn’t let them in to explore what was inside me, but he’d seen, and he was still here. He hadn’t walked away.

Sam moaned into my ear, tried to hold me even tighter, like he was afraid I would slip away. “Mmm. You smell like me.”

“I was just thinking the same thing about you a few minutes ago.”

“Two peas in a pod, I guess.” Sam kissed my neck. “Time to get up and take care of the animals?”

“Yep.”

“Not gonna fight me on it?”

“Would there be any point?”

He chuckled. “Check you out. Now you’re learnin’.”

We climbed out of bed together. I went into my en-suite bathroom, Sam heading into the living room for his bag. I was halfway through my piss when he came in like we’d been doing this together for years.

He dropped his bag to the floor, then squeezed his way in, taking a leak beside me.

“Am I in your way?” I teased.

“Nope. I made space.”

“I can see that.”

“You say that like it’s a bad thing. I think you like havin’ me around more than you’re willin’ to admit, Emerson Fox.”

“Eh, you’re all right.”

We brushed our teeth, got dressed, and headed out to tend to the animals.

“You want breakfast?” I asked once we were back in the house.

“Is that really a question? I can always eat.” Yeah, he could. He was like a bottomless pit sometimes.

“I don’t know where it all goes.”

Sam cocked a brow. “You sayin’ you like my body?”

“Fuck yes, I do.” I pulled him close, let my hands ride the planes of his muscles. It was hard to look him in the eyes, to let him see into mine, knowing he had the knowledge of what had happened.

“Sit down. I’ll cook.” I swatted Sam’s ass.

“Yessir. I ain’t gonna argue like I usually do.”

“Oh, I see how you are,” I teased back as I washed my hands.
