However, I was going to ignore the voice in the back of my head that pointed out I’d gotten myself into this by liking attention a little too much. There was nothing wrong with enjoying being the center of attention, though, so I told the voice to kiss my ass and focused on the slumber party.

“What did you do?” Lane was already slightly unstable and nearly giggling. “You were hiding at the party.”

“Something dirty.” Ian’s immediate response had Lane laughing so hard he tipped back over on the floor.

The fact that he wasn’t technically right but in the ballpark had me pouting. “I don’t know why—”

I finally gave up when they started laughing and shaking their heads. “Fine.”

Once I’d given up, Ian pushed the box of pizza toward me and teased me by drinking the slushy I knew had to be loaded with alcohol. They’d started without me. I wasn’t that late, but I’d been distracted and I was pretty sure I’d seen Luca at the party, so I’d hidden in the bathroom.

I’d definitely earned pizza, so I grabbed a slice and sighed because Eli said drama made everything easier to handle. “I don’t know what I should do. Yesterday there was a meeting. Preston and Roman hooked me up with an outside modeling gig for corsets…but there’s a catch.”

They both looked confused, so I glanced down at my lap making it obvious what I was talking about. “A medium-sized one.”

A very well sculpted medium-sized one if I did say so myself.

I was pretty sure it was one of the reasons I’d gotten offered the job…but I just wasn’t sure if that was because Luca liked it or because he thought it would show well.

Artists were confusing sometimes.

It took them both a second to realize what I’d meant…too much slushy already…but then Lane’s eyes widened again and he started laughing so hard he had to put his drink down. “Roman…and Preston…probably Eli…”

Ian just looked more confused and took a second to glance between the two of us. “They wouldn’t have pimped you out, so what does the job actually entail?”

I huffed and just shoved the pizza in my mouth making Lane laugh again. Eventually, he figured out how to breathe and actually managed a sentence. “It’s the artist guy, isn’t it? The sexy one?”

Nodding, I took another bite and tried to pout. That sounded much better than recounting everything that had happened.

“Wait? How did I miss this?” Ian cocked his head. “Who is it?”

Since Lane seemed to know all the good gossip, and clearly wasn’t chatty enough, I waved my hand at him and focused on my pizza. He was just drunk enough to love sharing the story. “He came in during one of the shoots about a month ago. He knows Eli and Preston…probably Roman too.”

Lane’s excitement and the googly eyes he made at just thinking about the story said Luca had made an impression on him too. “He’s this big sexy bear who looks like a biker and does custom corsets and stuff like that. Nothing mass market, but they’re talking about doing a limited line of them next year.”

My Luca.

Well, not my Luca.

Fuck.

When Ian glanced over at me, I nodded and shoved the last bite of my crust in my mouth before collapsing back in a heap of drama.

Eli was right, it was helping, but Ian’s question made me want to giggle. “Is he scary bear or sexy bear?”

Lane shivered and looked like he probably had a hard-on just thinking about my Luca. “Both…like my sweetie but…but more.”

Yep, Luca was perfect.

“What are you supposed to do?” Ian didn’t seem to realize how frustrating it was and that was even more frustrating. Groaning, I tried to hold back, but the words popped out as Ian nearly crawled over the coffee table to look down at me.

“Roman and Preston asked me into a meeting yesterday. They wanted to tell me about a side job they said they thought I would be perfect for, but they were weird, and Preston was rambling about trying to be professional.”

That had their eyes going almost cartoon-sized and they looked at me like it was the weirdest thing they’d ever heard. They were finally getting the picture. Preston didn’t do anything that wasn’t professional and Roman was only unprofessional around Eli.

I really should’ve gotten a drink before starting this.

I tried to take a deep breath and relax, but that didn’t work, so I threw my hands up and sighed. It just required drama and there was no other way around it. “It was awkward, but Roman finally spelled it out. The corset guy wanted someone to model the line, but he wants it to be erotic, and well, kind of kinky?”

Their mouths dropped open for a split second before they both got cheeky, dirty grins. I knew they weren’t going to be any help looking at it logically at all when Ian’s smile widened and he leaned even closer. “That sounds perfect for you. What’s the problem?”
