I held back last night because I could see she was nervous.

Megan is a virgin. She’s unclaimed. And if she needs time to feel comfortable, I’ll give it to her. Even if holding back is close to torture.

I could barely sleep last night as I thought about sliding my cock into her—feeling that tight pussy stretch around my girth. I was so turned that I had to slip off to the bathroom and take care of myself. It wasn’t enough, but it allowed me to get some sleep.

My phone buzzes in my pocket. A text from my mother.

Chuck is waiting for you, dear.

Jesus, I really need to establish some new rules for the house. Mother has her own house on the estate, and I’ve just been letting her drop by whenever, seeing as how this is technically a family manor. But if she’s just going to let Chuck in whenever he decides to show up, I’m going to have to put my foot down.

Not to mention Megan’s living here now. Mother can’t just be walking in on us whenever she feels like. My princess needs to be comfortable here—comfortable enough to walk around naked like the work of art she is. This is her home now.

I don’t bother responding to the text. I just head downstairs, but I take my time. I am in no rush to see Chuck. He can wait for me.

I find him and my mother in the morning room sipping mimosas like a couple of old friends. I don’t know how she doesn’t see him for the scumbag he is. Her eyes light up as I walk in.

“Oh, there you are, dear. Your friend Chuck came to see you. He said you had some business to discuss.”

Right. My friend Chuck. “Did he now?”

Chuck turns to face me, a brief moment of guilt on his face, but he quickly pushes it away with a smile. He clears his throat and starts to say something, but I cut him off. “Why don’t we talk in private?”

I don’t wait for a reply. I just turn and walk out of the room, his eager footsteps following me as I make my way to my office.

“Listen, Orson—” he says as he steps inside.

“Shut the door,” I snap. Goddamn, what is he wearing? Some god-awful pair of striped pants that are worse than the ones he had on at the restaurant. Who’s he think he is? Mick Jagger? “What are you doing here, Chuck?”

He clears his throat again and rolls his shoulders back, clearly trying to appear taller than he is.

“I just want to apologize for last night.”

“Apology accepted.” I nod. Not. “You can go now.”

“Well, actually, I wanted to talk to you about a great business opportunity—”

Anger boils up inside me, causing my fingers to tingle. “Get the hell out of here,” I snarl. I shoulder my way past him, spilling his mimosa onto the floor.

“Orson, all I need is the initial investment. We can both make a lot of money!”

I’m about to lose it, but I’ve got a day with my angel planned, and I don’t want to start things off with an altercation. So I lower my voice and get right up in his face.

“Chuck, I’m going to say this once,” I hiss. “So you fully understand. I am not interested in any of your investment opportunities. Got it?”

The poor guy looks like a deer in headlights. He opens his mouth to protest, but when he sees the look on my face, he quickly closes it again.

Some people might feel bad, but they don’t know him like I do. They don’t know how many people he’s scammed, how many women he’s preyed on. Frankly, this guy should thank his lucky stars every day he’s not behind bars.

“Fine, Orson,” he says, licking his teeth. “But don’t blame me when this bites you in the ass.”

I chuckle. “Don’t worry, Chuck. It won’t.”

I narrow my eyes at him, giving him the look—the one that all men understand. He twists his lips and stands there a moment, trying to act tough, but eventually he turns and walks out of the room. I follow him to the front door to make sure he gets the hell out of here. Only once his car is pulling out of the gate do I finally relax.

Now time to go wake up my princess.

My entire body is buzzing. I’ve only been away from her for a few minutes, but I’m dying to see her.

Jesus, what is happening to me? No woman has ever had a hold on me like this.

When I reach the stairs, I see Megan coming down, and every muscle in my body goes tight.

She’s wearing a tiny pair of white pajama shorts and a worn-out vintage T-shirt. It’s a five-dollar outfit, but she looks like a million bucks.
