Emily gasped, and a heartbeat later, she launched herself into my arms, wrapping her legs around my waist. Then she raised her left hand and wiggled her fingers. Fuck, she was cute. I laughed as I slipped the ring onto her finger.

Then I sealed my mouth over hers, and fire blazed between us, burning so fast and hot we almost didn’t make it back to the bed before round two.

Later, tangled in the sheets, she held up her hand again, admiring her ring as it sparkled in the light streaming through the cracks in the blinds.

“It’s beautiful,” she said softly. “And, um, really big.”

“You don’t like big things?” I teased. “’Cause the way you scream when I’m filling you with my thick cock hints otherwise.”

She shoved my shoulder lightly as she giggled. “I just meant, it had to have been really expensive. You didn’t have to spend money like that on me, Jude. I would be happy with a piece of string tied around my finger as long as it means I get to marry you.”

Smiling, I kissed her tenderly. “You don’t have a choice, angel.” Then I chuckled. “But I definitely wasn’t gonna let my wife walk around without a big-ass statement that you’re claimed. It’s not as if I can’t afford it anyway.”

Emily tilted her head. “What?”

“I made a fuck ton of money back when I was racing full-time, and I still take home heavy purses when the mood to hit the track strikes me. With the custom bikes, shit for the club, and helping Kane manage the races in Tennessee, an expensive ring doesn’t even make a ding in my bank account.”

She leaned up on her elbow and stared at me. “Are you telling me that you're rich?”

“No, I’m telling you we are loaded.”

“Hmm.” Her tone was cryptic.

“Does that bother you?”

After a second, she shook her head while she trailed the tip of one finger down my chest. “Nah. It might make you a little more attractive, though.”

I laughed because she was so damn adorable, and I knew that money wasn’t something that would ever sway Emily. Her heart was too genuine, but I couldn’t help teasing her back. “Whatever it takes to keep your legs open, angel.”

She snorted. “As if you have any trouble with that now.”

Grinning, I rolled on top of her and ground my hard shaft against her hot pussy. “Prove it.”

We were slick with sweat and completely satisfied when I rolled off her and pulled her close, her back snug against my chest. I pressed a kiss to her bare shoulder and murmured, “We should start packing up your place. Once your brother’s back on his feet, we’ll head to Tennessee.”

She stilled for a second. “You’re waiting…for Mason?”

“Course I am,” I said against her skin. “You wouldn’t want to leave while he’s in the hospital. And I’m not going anywhere without you.”

She buried her face in my chest, and I heard a muffled sniff. “I was going to ask, but you were already planning on it.”

“’Cause I love you, angel. I want you to be happy, and I’ll do anything in my power to make sure I see that gorgeous smile every day for the rest of our lives. ” I grabbed her chin and lifted it so I could see her face. “Fuck that,” I growled. “You’ll be mine forever.”

The sun was high by the time we got out of bed again, stomachs growling loudly enough to compete with the Harleys outside.

We were halfway dressed when my phone buzzed with a text.

Edge

Turn on the news.

Curious, I grabbed the remote and flipped it to the local channel.

“Breaking news out of Crossbend. Three bodies have been identified in the charred remains of a wrecked SUV. Authorities say the fire was so intense that dental records were required for confirmation.”

Photos flickered across the screen. Dez Franklin and his two goons.

I sat down beside Emily and watched in silence as the anchor wrapped the story up.

“Preliminary findings suggest the men were unable to exit the vehicle before it was engulfed in flames. Authorities have not released further details.”

Another message buzzed through.

Edge

Fitting, right? Dying in a fiery crash.

Then a third one.

Edge

Poetic justice, Redline Kings style.

I chuckled and was about to set my phone down when I noticed yet another text.

Maverick

You mean Iron Rogues style, fucker.

That was when I realized it was a group text. The two of them started bickering about which MC was more badass, and I laughed, putting my phone on silent.

Emily rolled her eyes. “For a bunch of hard-ass bikers, you guys can be so childish sometimes.”

Before she knew what hit her, she was on her back with my body hovering over her. “More than willing to prove I’m a man, angel.”

“My man,” she whispered as she wrapped her legs around my waist.

“Damn straight.”
