Wrapping her arms around her waist, anyone else might go and confront them—anyone with a spine—but Eden just stood there, dressed ready for sex, and now the man she thought she was in love with was having sex with her best friend. How long had it been going on? Did they get a good laugh out of this? She’d told Hilary she had a surprise for Mac, but she’d not told her what it was. This sucked.

Eden was pretty sure she heard them complete, and there were giggles. Her mortification didn’t end there, as the door suddenly opened, and she heard Razor.

“Dude, you’re needed out in the city, now,” Razor said.

Razor had been the one to see her come upstairs. Was he helping her? Or was this club business?

“Come on, dude, for real?”

“I don’t make the rules, I’m telling you to do your fucking job! And get that whore out of here.”

“Hey!” Hilary snapped out.

Eden waited until there was silence. There was a lot of complaining, and then she heard Mac. “Call Eden, tell her I’m going to be late tonight and not to wait up.”

And that was it.

Silence.

“You can come out now,” Razor said.

She wanted the whole world to open up and swallow her. Eden grabbed her jacket and quickly pulled it on over her negligee, not that it did a lot of good to hide her humiliation.

She assumed she was staying over here, and Mac had said the guys don’t like strangers parking their cars. It’s for the bikes and members only. She’d taken a cab.

“I need to call a cab,” she said.

“Don’t worry about it. I’ve got you covered.” He swung his keys around his fingers, and Eden nodded, feeling the heat building inside her face as she followed him out.

He reached behind him, grabbed her hand, and before she knew what was happening, they were making their way outside. He must have taken her out through a shortcut of the MC clubhouse. It was dark out. There were a couple of guys across the yard, but no one could see them.

He got her into his car, rounded the vehicle, and climbed inside. Neither spoke a word as he pulled out of the clubhouse and proceeded to drive back toward town. She lived on the outskirts of town, in a small but up-and-coming neighborhood that advertised for new families. She lived in a small cul-de-sac with her sister, Maeve, who ironically, never liked Hilary. Always said she was a first-class bitch. Eden designed websites for a living, whereas Maeve was a makeup artist, and a damn good one.

The drive was long, filled with awkward silence. She had no idea what to say. She usually loved the quiet, but this was not fun. She felt like she was constantly squirming in her seat, but that could also be because the thong had ridden up her ass, making it uncomfortable.

“Are you okay?” Razor asked the moment they arrived at her house. She didn’t recall giving him her address, so she was a little taken aback by how he knew where she lived, but rather than say anything, she kept the questions to herself.

“Yeah, I’m great. I was surprising my boyfriend on Valentine’s Day, and he decided to have sex with my best friend. I am super chill about it.”

“He’s not worth it, and Hilary is a slut. She’s fucking her way through most of the club, but in the last few months, she’s been hitting at Mac hard,” Razor said.

She couldn’t help but laugh. “Is that supposed to make me feel better?

He shrugged. “He’s a piece of shit. I’m advising you not to take it too personally.”

She nodded her head, because she did get it, in a way.

“Thank you for bringing me home.”

The only consolation right now was that her sister was away on business, and she didn’t have to worry about how angry she was going to be.

Eden felt anger, humiliation, disappointment, heartbreak, and of course, she got it. Why would anyone fall for her?

****

There was no job in the city.

Razor had watched as Eden came through that fucking clubhouse door with those sweet smiles and promises he knew Mac didn’t deserve. From the moment Mac had been dating Eden, he’d not treated her well. Eden didn’t know that every time he came back to the clubhouse after being with her, he’d take whatever piece of pussy would throw herself at him. Eden deserved so much better.

He at least figured Mac would attempt to contact Eden, as it was Valentine’s Day. Of course, this was meant to be a surprise. He figured that out when Mac arrived with Hilary, and the two were making out for all the guys to see.

Now, a lot of people liked Eden. In the beginning, he thought she was a pampered first-class bitch, as she dressed so prim and proper, but he had come to see that was exactly who she was—class. She didn’t thrust her chest out to every passing man. She didn’t flirt with anyone.
