“Ryse…Ryse!” I panted, pressing my hips up to catch his rhythm. “Oh, I’m getting so close!”
“Are you going to come for me soon, little one?” he murmured in my ear. “Good—I want to watch you come while I stroke your soft little pussy. Want to make you moan for me while you come all over my fingers.”
His deep voice and the soft, dirty words were too much for my overloaded senses. With a cry, I began to feel my pleasure break as I reached the peak and tipped over the edge into an ocean of sensation.
“Ryse!” I cried, back arching, toes curling and heart pounding as the pleasure swept through me. It felt so different to reach the peak when it was someone else touching me, I thought. I didn’t know why, but it did. It felt better somehow—more intense. And I never wanted it to end.
Ryse seemed to enjoy it as much as I did.
“Good girl,” he growled softly in my ear as I moaned and bucked against his hand. “That’s right—come nice and hard for me. Come for me while I stroke your soft little pussy.”
I don’t know how long he drew the pleasure out, but at last I collapsed, panting and trembling against his chest.
“You all right?” I heard him ask and I looked up to see concern in his golden eyes.
“I…I’m fine,” I panted. “That was…it was better than anything I’ve ever felt,” I admitted at last.
One corner of his mouth quirked up.
“Well, I’d like to take credit, but the after effects of the sweet grass intensify everything. I’m glad you enjoyed yourself, though. I know, I did.”
I frowned at him.
“But…you didn’t, er, come at all. You’re still hard…aren’t you?”
I nodded down to the long, hard ridge forming a tent in his sleep trousers, which made it obvious he was still in need.
Ryse shifted and winced slightly.
“I can take care of myself later. Tonight is all about you, little one.”
“But I feel fine now,” I assured him. “I feel so much better.”
He frowned.
“Do you?”
“Well…” I shifted against him. Was the tingling need beginning again? But Ryse had just given me the most intense pleasure of my life—how was that possible?
“Why am I feeling it again?” I moaned, wiggling against him restlessly. “What’s wrong with me?”
“I told you—it’s the sweet grass,” he said. His eyes were still half-lidded as he watched me. “Do you need me to help you again?”
“Yes, please,” I moaned.
And so he did.

AURORA
We were both pretty tired the next day—Ryse had helped me multiple times until I was sore between my legs. At last the effects of the sweet grass began to fade, and we were able to sleep but we only got a few hours before we had to be up and getting to classes.
Neither of us said anything about what had happened the night before, but as we were about to walk out the door of the room, Ryse caught me by the shoulders and turned me to face him.
“Auri, I have to know,” he said, looking down at me seriously. “Do you regret last night? Are you upset with me for helping you?”
“Upset with you?” I looked up at him, frowning. “Why would I be upset? I mean, I’m a little embarrassed…” I couldn’t help remembering how shameless I’d been the night before—how I’d begged him to touch me and make me come over and over again. But I didn’t regret anything.
“You don’t have to be embarrassed,” Ryse told me. Leaning down, he captured my mouth with his own for a long, breathless kiss.
I stood on my tiptoes, wound my arms around his neck, and kissed him back, loving the feeling of his mouth on mine and the taste of his lips.
When the kiss broke at last, he looked into my eyes.
“You don’t have to be embarrassed about last night,” he repeated. “You were fucking perfect, little one.”
Then he kissed me again and we went to breakfast.
When I went to check on L’eesha, later that morning, she was up and alert and eating a sheep.
“How do you feel today, sweetheart?” I asked, stroking her golden hide as she chewed messily.
“hungry!” she told me, as she continued to dig into the sheep. “that sweet grass stuff made me feel better but this morning i’m so hungry!”
“Well, keep eating,” I told her. “I just wanted to be sure you were all right.”
“feeling much better. thank you, my Auri.” She stopped chewing for a moment and looked up at me. “Can I go flying with you and Ryse and M’alex today? They finally finished my saddle, so you won’t’ fall off.”
“Let me see what the Master of the Caverns says,” I told her. “He might not want you flying so soon after you had such bad growing pains and took all that sweet grass.”
L’eesha pouted, but she was clearly too hungry to throw a full-on fit. I scratched behind her eye-ridges and left her still chewing to go find the Cavern Master.
