Winnie reported the shenanigans over her lesson plans, testing Scythe’s ability to keep his cool. That principal had to go. For some reason, she thought she was invincible.
Winnie ate two servings of macaroni and cheese, along with a baked chicken leg and some apple slices. She didn’t seem to notice Scythe was steaming inside. He chatted easily with his Little girl as he debated how to best deal with the problem. A meeting in the school or district office? A visit with the school board members? Scythe needed to keep Winnie safe from any type of backlash.
“Is everything okay, Daddy?” she asked.
“Perfect, Chipmunk. I was waiting to see if you noticed the chart on the refrigerator.”
“Really?” She twisted in her seat. The appliance was a few feet from her. “That has my name on it.”
“It does. You’ll get to put a sticker next to the things you do. If you get seven stickers in one day, you get a treat.”
“What kind of a treat?” she asked, reading all the entries on the chart.
“It could be something sweet, a fun excursion with Daddy, or a Winnie’s choice, and only you can choose what you want,” he explained. “Shall we go check the chart and see how many stickers we need?”
She nodded eagerly and ran to the chart. Her breasts bobbled deliciously, affecting the tightness of his jeans. He followed her and patted her outstretched bottom as she leaned over to read the lower choices.
“Look, Daddy! I see a naked as a blue jay day spot. Do I get to put a sticker there?”
“I think you’ll earn a half sticker tonight since you wore clothes this morning.”
“But if I skip my clothes tomorrow, I’ll get one?” she asked eagerly.
“Yes, Chipmunk. Here’s a box you can fill with a sticker today.” Scythe pointed to a section.
“Temperature or anal plug time! You checked my temperature. I definitely get a sticker there!”
As he suspected, earning a sticker would encourage her to submit to his care. “Do you see another one in that medical section?”
“Accepted bottom medicine or enema? Yes!” She celebrated and then sobered. “I don’t want an enema.”
“Who’s in charge, Little girl?”
“Daddy,” she said, plucking at the thigh-high socks she wore.
“Daddy will always take good care of you,” he promised. “Now, let’s get the stickers, and you can decorate the chart.”
She nodded eagerly. Scythe reached up into the top cabinet over the refrigerator and removed a plastic container. Opening it, he pulled out two sheets. “Frogs or rainbows?”
“Rainbows!”
He carefully peeled off one. “Tell Daddy which one you’re going to celebrate. Announce proudly what you did to earn this sticker.”
“You took my temperature.”
“No, that’s what I did. What did you do to earn this sticker?”
“I was a good girl and let Daddy take my temperature when you were worried I had a fever.”
“Excellent. Add this sticker on the chart,” he said as he handed over a rainbow.
The tip of her tongue poked out of her mouth as she carefully placed the sticker. Winnie scanned the chart and chose her next target. “I let you put medicine in my bottom, and I didn’t try to push it out.”
“You didn’t. You were a very good girl. Best of all, the medicine made your tummy better, didn’t it?”
“The best, Daddy!” Winnie agreed, dancing in front of him with eagerness.
“I think that space needs a rainbow with a pot of gold,” he suggested and handed it over.
In the end, Winnie received five stars. She was upset. Adorably so.
“Daddy, I don’t get a reward.” Tears shone in her eyes as she looked up at him.
“But the best thing is you see what you need to do to get seven stars tomorrow. If you’d eaten a few green beans or if you’d drunk all your milk at dinner, you would have seven stars. Your chart is always up on the refrigerator. You can check to see your progress whenever you wish.”
“But I want a treat.”
“It’s tough when you want something so bad, isn’t it? Let’s celebrate with a fun activity before bed. Would you rather watch cartoons or play in your nursery?”
“Cartoons, Daddy,” she selected, bouncing on her toes in anticipation.
“Let’s go see what’s on, Chipmunk. If you’re lucky, one featuring Chippy’s relatives might be playing.”
“I love them. Come on, Daddy.” She rushed forward to grab his hand and pull Scythe toward the couch.
A few minutes later, she curled up next to him, cuddled under her new blankie. She seemed entranced by the cheerful characters dancing around the screen. Scythe kissed the top of her head and relaxed on the sofa. His MC brothers understood he needed to bond with his Little girl, especially after the death of her mother.
He hoped Winnie would enjoy spending time at Inferno in the future. If she didn’t, he’d have to step out of his role as the road captain for the Devil Daddies. They needed someone heavily involved with the MC to have the pulse of the members. He pushed that concern from his mind. For now, he’d concentrate on protecting Winnie.
