“Your wish is my command.” His eyes sparkled with happiness. “But I require payment in the form of kisses.”

That was one debt he’d happily pay for the rest of his life. He cupped his hands over Seamus’s beard and pulled him down. “You got it.”

“Are you staying in town for Christmas?” Lucas asked as he picked up his martini and twisted to the side on his barstool.

That’s what he had done every year since he moved to Hope, but now, things were different. “Actually, I’m going to see my family.” DJ took a sip of his beer. “Meet my niece and nephew in person.” And do the same with his in-laws.

“That sucks.”

DJ laughed. “I want to spend time with them.”

“You’re finally taking a vacation, and you want to spend it with small children?” Lucas shook his head. “That’s literally unbelievable. As in, I don’t believe it. I suggest you go somewhere with a beach and find a man to hook up with instead. That way you’ll be the good kind of sticky instead of the gross kind.”

He flicked his gaze to Seamus, who was serving a beer to someone a few seats down. They had talked about sharing their new relationship status with everyone, but for now, DJ wasn’t ready. Between resolving his years-long personal issues, having an actual relationship, marrying and moving in with a man, and quitting his jobs, he’d had a lot of change in a short period of time. He didn’t want to deal with people’s questions and opinions until he fully adjusted himself and, in the meantime, he was enjoying keeping things between the two of them private.

“I’m not big on the water, actually,” he told Lucas.

“Then go somewhere snowy and fuck a ski instructor.”

“Don’t like the cold much either.” He smirked.

“Listen, babe, I know you’ve developed a very intimate relationship with your toys, but try as you might, you’re never going to be able to eat your own ass. It’s time to find you a man.”

Glass dropping from his hand, Seamus jerked his head to the side and stared at them, wide-eyed. Thankfully, he had rubber mats down behind the bar and he hadn’t yet started filling it.

“Seamus, if you want lessons, you don’t need to eavesdrop. Come on over here and we’ll tell you how to use your tongue to make someone scream.” He nudged DJ with his elbow. “Right, Deej?”

It was mean to be amused by Seamus’s deer-in-the-headlights expression, but he couldn’t help himself when he looked so cute. “Don’t tease him, Lucas,” he said.

“I’m helping, not teasing.” He raised his arm and waved Seamus over. “School’s in session and Professor Reika is here. Today’s topic, Rimming 101.”

He was sure Seamus would find something fascinating to do as far away from them as possible, but instead, he wiped his palms on his jeans and approached them.

“See?” Lucas turned to DJ, looking delighted. “He wants to learn.”

“Um, I don’t—”

“Shhh.” Lucas shoved his empty glass at DJ. “Hold my beer, I’m going in.”

“This was a martini.”

“Of course it was. Do I look like the kind of person who drinks beer?”

He didn’t actually.

“Seamus, stick out your tongue so I know what I’m working with,” Lucas directed.

“I’m not showing you my tongue.” He crossed his arms over his chest.

“Fine.” Lucas rolled his eyes. “Eating ass mostly comes down to common sense, patience, and enthusiasm anyway.” He looked pointedly at Seamus. “Do you have that?”

“Are you being serious?” Seamus asked and then he shifted his gaze to DJ. “Is he being serious?”

“Yes!” Lucas said way too loudly.

“Yes,” DJ confirmed.

“Huh.” Seamus sounded more curious than anything else, but he’d already proven to have endless common sense, patience, and enthusiasm when it came to sex, and his thoughtful expression indicated that DJ was going to be very, very happy later that night.

Chapter 12

“I am so glad to be home,” Seamus said as he closed their front door.

“It was a long night of traveling, but it was worth it to see everyone for Christmas, right?” DJ curled his arms around him and rested his head on his chest.

The redeye flight and the drive were terrible, but that wasn’t what had Seamus on edge.

“Next time we go to Claddagh, let’s get a hotel room.”

DJ raised his head and stared at him. “In what scenario do you think we can go visit our family and not stay with either my sister, your parents, or one of your brothers?”

“The scenario in which there are too many people in all of their houses and we don’t have enough privacy!” After having spent his entire life not giving much thought to sex, Seamus now found he couldn’t go without it when it came to his husband.

“We made it work.”

Hushed hand jobs barely took the edge off his desire for this man, and now that they were alone, Seamus was going to give them what he knew they both craved.
