He rubs the back of his neck, looking all sweet and bashful, and I wish I could tell him to stop because it’s so unfair what that does to my dick. “No, no, I figured it out the first time we met. But now I know you can be fun without my cock in your mouth too.”

“Now there’s a topic I’m interested in. I’m throwing it out there because I’m all about taking life—and hot guys—by the balls, but all you have to do is ask and I’d gladly suck your dick again.”

“Fuck …”

“Ooh, I’d do that too, but we’ve established it’s a limit for you.”

He lets out a genuine laugh, and before I can react, his thumb is tracing my lips.

I’m helpless against the urge that has me licking his thumb and sucking it into my mouth.

Rossi’s stare drops to my lips, and his expression heats. “I can’t stop thinking about you. For the last two weeks, I’ve been telling myself the memory of our hookup will fade eventually, but it hasn’t even begun to do that.”

I hum as I suck on the digit that he’s dragging over my tongue. He shifts closer, and I shiver at the proximity, having to hold back from scrambling into his lap. Rossi’s slow, expression curious, as he withdraws his thumb from between my lips and tilts my face up toward himself.

“Such a talented mouth,” he mutters.

“You should see what the rest of me can do.”

He leans in. Closer, and closer, and I catch my breath as I wait for his lips to meet mine. As I brace for the inevitable moment that I get another taste of him. I’m holding myself back from coming on too strong and taking—

His ringtone blasts through the still air, and Rossi jumps away from me like he’s been shocked.

He quickly answers, sounding completely breathless. “Hey, Dad. Yeah, Tyson and I—what? Okay. Yeah. We’re coming.”

“What’s up?” I ask.

“Apparently an important—aka rich—client is coming in with an emergency.”

“Wait, there are financial emergencies?”

Rossi chuckles. “Probably needs to buy a yacht right now type of emergency and needs the funds.”

“Oh, the problems rich people have.”

“Right?”

There’s a weird beat between us before we move. We leave my apartment so fast, I don’t have time to contemplate how an almost-kiss with Giovanni Rossi could fuck up my chances at work. It’s probably better I don’t think about it, because I’m torn.

I want to kiss him again. But I also want this job.

Chapter 6

ROSSI

The next morning, I find Tyson in the staff break room leaning against the counter, drinking the crappy free coffee they have here, and I make a mental note to bring him the good stuff from a coffee shop downstairs tomorrow.

“Hungry?” Tyson gestures to the three Tupperware containers in my hands.

I shove them in the fridge next to other people’s food. “My mom always cooks way too much for dinner. There’s, umm, enough there for you if you want it. I mean, there’s extra. One for me, one for Dad, and …” Okay, how do I say I asked for more so Tyson wouldn’t have to worry about where his next meal will come from?

Tyson stands upright and steps closer to me. “Did you bring me lunch, cutie?”

“If you want it. If not, I’m sure I can have two lunches. It will go with my two breakfasts I have every morning.”

“How do you not weigh five hundred pounds?”

“It’s called a gym. You might have heard of it.” I look him over. “Or maybe not.” I smirk.

“All of my muscles are hidden. I have inner muscles. They’re shy, so they bulge inward instead of outward.”

I laugh. “You’re ridiculous.”

“Little bit, yes.”

I like how confident Tyson is in his quirkiness. There’s a lot of things I find alluring about this guy, and I think his blowjob skill isn’t even in the top five.

He’s kind, independent and a little proud, he’s unapologetically himself, and his confidence is really attractive.

Maybe if he hadn’t turned up at orientation day, the memory of his mouth might have been shoved to the back of my mind, where I’d planned to lock that little experience away forever, but he is here, and I can’t stop thinking about it.

I can’t stop thinking about him.

“Ready to get to work?” Mitch says from the entryway, and Tyson and I both flinch.

“Yes, sir.” I mock salute him.

“Don’t be a smart-ass, Gianni. My office, two minutes.” He walks away smiling.

“It’s so cute how they call you Gianni,” Tyson says.

“Ugh. I’ll always be Little Gianni to them. No matter how many times I ask them to call me Gian.”

“Can I say again how grateful I am you’re not going for this full-time spot?”

“How was your first day working for my dad?”

“I think it went well. I learned a lot. He’s a nice person, which I wasn’t expecting from an intimidating financial firm like this.”
