Pat struggled to sleep, so he stepped into a late-night coffee shop. That's where he first met her—Ava Beckett.

Ava knows she shouldn’t keep looking for Pat. He’s a member of the Chaos and Carnage MC, and they are nothing but trouble. But, she likes him. He makes her smile. Even though she knows she should stay away from him, Ava is drawn to him.

He’s older than her. She deserves someone her own age, but he still can’t let her go. What starts as a small romance, soon blooms into something much more. Ava was a virgin, and Pat won't let anyone else have her.

However, danger within Carnage is heating up. It started with an attack on his bike. Then someone shoots out the mechanic shop, injuring one of their men. It has to be the Cartel, and now it is time to take the fight to them.

Only, it's not that simple. The Cartel never stays in the same place. And they use people. When their own start turning up injured or dead, they are running out of time. When Ava is targeted, Pat will stop at nothing to protect his family.

But will he be able to figure out the truth in time to save her? Sometimes, the enemy is a lot closer than you think

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

Pat sat at the late-night coffee bar and stared down into his black coffee. They only served coffee and cake, and stayed open till well after midnight. This was the place he came when he didn’t want to sleep.

The shop itself was just on the outskirts of Carnage. It had a large parking lot, the lights were garish, and they seemed to draw in many travelers. Not that anyone was interesting company at this late hour.

While most coffee shops opened for the morning and ran through to dinner, this place did not. They catered to the late-night crowd, which was why the shop was literally called, The Late-Night Coffee Shop.

Some might think it was a little long-winded as a name, but not Pat.

He took a sip of his coffee, and it always surprised him that it didn’t taste like shit. It was good coffee. Good cake. It was certainly worth leaving his veganism behind. He was not strictly a vegan, but he didn’t turn down vegan food. He knew Bull, his friend and Prez, would randomly tell people he was vegan, and he never disputed it. This place had too much good cake to turn down. The place was a rare gem. Rather than risk waking up the Chaos and Carnage club, he came here, drank hot coffee, ate cake, and just waited until the shop was due to close.

“How are you doing?”

He looked up to see Ava. Her name was pinned to her apron just above her breast. She was here serving every night, the six days the coffee shop was open. Always with a smile and a seemingly lovely demeanor.

“Good. You?”

She chuckled. “I’m doing good. You know, you’re fast becoming one of the regulars around here.”

Her blonde hair was pulled back into a ponytail, and she had a pair of small glasses perched on her nose, but they didn’t detract from her pretty blue eyes. Ava was a gorgeous woman.

Yes, using his military contacts, he had done a check on her. He didn’t trust anyone who was ... nice. Not without a cause. Nice people often spelled disaster, and in his line of work, that was something to be weary of.

Especially with the cartel suddenly taking a back seat. In the last couple of years, Carnage had been the hot spot for the cartel, which started with the Vito Crew, run by a guy named Julio. To cut a long story short, Julio was into dogfighting, and he, along with the Chaos and Carnage MC, loved dogs. They didn’t take kindly to the illegal fighting taking place in their town. Julio ended up dead, and the dogfighting stopped.

Only, Julio had a brother, Miguel, who was running drugs, dogs, and it would seem women in Carnage, right under their noses. Again, another long story short ... Miguel was dead.

During this time, they had been introduced to one of the scariest motherfuckers to keep the cartel at bay, William Ranford. Now, Ranford had a brother, who was part of the illegal dogfighting. Baby Ranford ended up with his head severed, and his body in parts. William ended up in hiding, but now that Miguel was dead and he had a revenge kick, another problem was started.

In the last few months, according to William Ranford, he had an army of men willing to die to end the cartel. He wanted Chaos and Carnage MC to help, to be part of his revenge war.

Bull wanted to see the end of the cartel. Pat didn’t give a shit, as the rest of the club. Only, they had to work with William, and they had to come up with a plan that didn’t put the whole town on the killing line.

It was a lot to take in.

And Pat liked to have a late-night coffee, and if he was honest, look at the pretty blonde with the easy smile.

There was no violence at this place. Just a nice place to drink. That was all they wanted.

“Do you have a problem with that?”

“Not at all, just so long as you don’t mind me being your waitress?” she asked.

“I don’t mind.”

He had to stop the urge to look down at her curvaceous body. The uniform she wore emphasized every curve. Nice, big tits, and the top of her uniform seemed to be close to popping open, yet it never did. She had a small waist but thick hips and thighs. Even her calves looked juicy. She had a nice, full face, a gorgeous smile, and he happened to like her plump cheeks as well.

“Is there anything else you’d like to order?” she asked.

“A slice of carrot cake.”

“Coming right up.”

She spun away from him, and he got to admire that full ass. He loved a woman with curves.

Now, in the last few years he’d known Bull, the Chaos and Carnage MC Prez, along with the man’s brother, had found women who were curvy. Maddie and Aria were sweet women, but they were also insecure about their weight. In the last few months, he had never seen Ava step foot into Jase’s gym, but he knew Maddie and Aria still liked to go.
Aria Taylor has always been told she wasn’t good enough. After one horrible night, Aria has had enough. She’s determined to lose the weight that people find so ugly.

Grant has proven himself time and time again, but his brother has placed his ass far away from the club. When he’s suspended as VP from the Chaos and Carnage MC, Grant is pissed. He knew Bull didn’t want him at the club anyway.
He likes the receptionist at the veterinary practice where he visits the dogs from the animal shelter. And pursuing Aria is a much more worthwhile use of his time. Everyone sees Grant as the playboy. He’s considered a waste of space. Aria sees him differently though.
When their contact within the Cartel turns up dead, and the bodies start mounting, it’s not just a threat to the club, but the town. Someone wants Carnage.

Grant is given a chance to take his brother’s place, to have the ultimate power, but will he take it? Will he sacrifice everything to finally have control? Is that what he wants? Will the town of Carnage burn like the club?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

Aria Taylor stared down at the wedding photos and she wasn’t even surprised. If she looked closely enough in the corner, she saw part of her body and her chunky arm. No matter what she did, her mother would criticize her. She had attempted to diet for that day. The weight she had lost was never enough.

Staring at the pictures, she felt the tears well, which she hated. Two attacks in the past twenty-four hours was just too much.

Last night had been Halloween, and she had dressed up as a sexy witch, per her best friend’s suggestion. Lidia was constantly telling her how beautiful she was, and that she needed to ignore what people said.

She’d been trying to get into the party, but Lidia’s current boyfriend Sean had told her to leave.

“Yeah, that is not coming to my party. Take your ugly ass away. Lidia is too fucking nice to tell you this, but your fat fucking face is no longer welcome here. She can do so much better than you. Leave.”

It was no shock that her and Sean didn’t get along, but this was the first time he’d verbally attacked her. His friends had been around, and they’d laughed at her.

Humiliated, she had forced a smile and then left.

Now, she opened up the photos her mother had sent her and had to wonder if this had been done on purpose. It was no secret in their family that her sister Isabella was the star. Thin, beautiful, perfect in every single way, and had even scored herself a lawyer. A wealthy man that didn’t seem to mind coming to live in the town of Carnage.

Tears filled her eyes, and she quickly placed the pictures back into the envelope and rushed toward her bedroom.

This was not a hard thing for her.

Her mother was constantly telling her she wasn’t good enough. She opened her closet, gripped the edge of her clothes, and shoved them all to one side, finding what she was looking for, and feeling a little crazy as she grabbed it off the shelf.

The box had once started as a shoebox, but as the years moved on, it had developed into a proper box. Lifting off the lid, Aria didn’t dare look inside. She added the envelope, hoping it would take the memories of the previous night with it as well. She placed the lid back on, lifted it up, and slid it into place on the shelf. Stepping back, she didn’t feel any better. Like so many gifts and horrible reminders before, it made her feel sick to her stomach.

Aria arranged her clothes, running her hands down them and trying to remain calm as she did so. Nibbling her lip, she tried to ignore the sick feeling that swirled in her gut. She closed her closet door, and instead of going to the kitchen, she went straight toward her en suite bathroom. She stopped once she stood directly in front of the mirror, lifted her gaze, and then looked at herself.

Like her sister, she possessed long, blonde hair and blue eyes, but that was where the resemblance ended. She had started to gain weight as a youngster, much to their mother’s misery. Where Isabella was slender, with curves in all the right places, Aria was bigger. Much bigger. Her tits were larger, as were her thighs, hips, ass, arms, just about every single part of her.

“Ugh, why can’t you be more like your sister?”

“I swear, Aria, if they don’t fit, you’re going on a diet.”

“Do you need more fat and sugar? You have enough.”

“No one is going to want to marry the fat girl.”

“Seriously, Aria, enough. You’re fat enough.”

She closed her eyes as the years upon years of insults added up. At twenty-five years old, she had come to dread going to her family’s house. Her dad wasn’t too bad, but then, he always sided with his wife, as she knew best.

He’d always wanted sons, as he felt there was no way he could handle girls. So, he often left them alone to go and have a round of golf, or go to the bar, or anything that stopped him from interfering with his wife’s way of raising two girls.

Aria had lost count of the number of diets she’d been on. How she’d be banned from having cake, pastas, bread. There was even a Christmas her mother would only allow her to eat vegetables. Just the memories of those times had her eyes welling up in tears.

So, staring at her reflection, she grabbed her shirt and lifted it up over her head, before throwing it to the floor.

She opened the button of her jeans and wriggled them off her hips, and after that was done, she simply stared at herself and then thought of all the insults she had been given. Even the one from last night. Each one chipping away at her.

Chapter One

Maddie French glanced down at her watch to check the time. It was safe to say her date wasn’t coming. He was over an hour late, and she was growing tired of the pitying looks directed her way. She sipped at her water and tapped her fingers on the table. If she ate now, they would all know she’d been stood up. Not that anyone was supposed to care, but she saw the disguised points.

She pulled out her cell phone and checked to see if he’d left her a message, but there was nothing.

Ever since she had shared her picture with this guy she’d been talking to for months, he’d been different.

She ran fingers through her long brown hair, which she’d spent a good amount of time curling so it didn’t just lay flat. This was why she hated internet dating. She never photographed well. Her mother used to tell her often enough that her best features were always hidden. Not that her mother would ever divulge what she considered her best features.

She put her cell phone away and took a deep breath.

This wasn’t the first time she’d been stood up, wouldn’t be the last time either. She could pretend so many things as to why her date didn’t arrive. A car accident. Held up at work. He was helping someone give birth in a subway, but the truth was that it was because of her size.

Her mother had always told her no man wanted a fat girl. Her mother, God rest Delia French’s heart, didn’t mince her words. Some people of Carnage even thought Delia was responsible for putting her husband, Nigel, into an early grave with all of her real talk. No one knew her parents were as bad as each other.

They kept everything real.

Where another parent might tell their child the weight would drop of them as they got older, or that they were beautiful, she wasn’t told that.

Nope.

Her parents told her she was fat, ugly, and that she was going to have to do something to have any chance of having a husband. In fact, Delia had told her she should just accept that she was going to be an old maid. At thirty years old, she didn’t consider herself an old maid, but so far, her parents hadn’t been wrong.

She was overweight.

The world didn’t want to admit it, but size really did matter to a great deal of people. In the small town of Carnage, there was no one who wanted her.

Clenching her hands into tight fists, she felt sickness swirling in her gut. To anyone who looked at her, it was her size-twenty curves that spoke volumes. It wasn’t the volunteer work she did at the local animal shelter or the schools. Nor was it the hard work she put in to every single town fair.

Life after high school should have been easier. Instead, she’d passed through a multitude of jobs, failed her driving license more times than she could count, which meant she walked everywhere, and never had a long-lasting relationship.

Her only boyfriend was in the last year of high school, and he’d dumped her after taking her virginity in the back of his truck. He was a nerd, and no one had paid attention to him. She’d been the fat girl, and as he told her at the time, he’d taken pity on her. Neither of them should have entered adulthood a virgin, and that was his community service to her.

She’d never been more embarrassed in her life.

Maddie glanced around at the couples. It wasn’t even a fancy restaurant. It was a small eating section at the bar in Carnage.

She rubbed her temples and then jumped as she heard the roar of bikes arrive outside.

There was only one bunch of people who rode bikes in Carnage. The Chaos and Carnage MC that lived all around town. They owned several businesses, including this bar, the local mechanic shop, the gym, and a few other places that were way too many to count.

She used to go to school with one of the members, Grant Reynolds. He’d been a popular bad boy, and no one had messed with him because of who his brother was.

As if the thought of him conjured him up, Kirk Reynolds, known only as Bull, entered the bar. He had several guys at his back. Many of them she didn’t know the name of. She had always steered clear of the MC group that filled their town. Women wanted to fuck them. Men wanted to be them. They were the group most people wanted to be associated with.

She knew they helped a lot of business in town. They even offered protection, and in the last ten years, there had been no violence or death brought to the streets of Carnage. She had even seen him talking to the local sheriff, Dylan, from time to time. Not that she was a stalker. She just happened to notice a whole lot of things. People often ignored her presence.
