As a favor to a friend, George Butterworth has agreed to allow Anna-Beth Knight to work for him as his housekeeper. Anna-Beth has annoyed her family, and for now, they just want her out of the way, not causing trouble. He doesn’t mind.

The only problem is, the Knight girl is no longer ten years old, but a thirty year old woman. And George cannot stop thinking about her.

For twenty years, Anna-Beth has been in love with her brother’s best friend. She knows she has irritated her family, but she refuses to be like them—mean, cruel, cutthroat. In the world of business and sustaining empires, her family expects her to play by their rules. They don’t know anything about her.

George has taken Anna-Beth's virginity. He knows her family is looking for a husband for her, but he doesn’t want to let her go. He cannot gether out of his thoughts, nor does he want to. Every second spent with her, she gets under his skin.

Will George stick around when he knows that she is in love with him as well?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

George Butterworth looked out his home office window at the garden, and for several seconds, he couldn’t bring himself to move. Anna-Beth Knight was on the lawn once again, only this time, rather than doing some weird yoga pose, she was dancing.

This was not something new to him, for Anna-Beth was … an interesting woman. She was his best friend’s sister, who, for some odd reason, wasn’t exactly welcome within the Knight family. He knew why. Anna-Beth had always been a little different. She wasn’t hungry for a career or desperate for money. She didn’t have that Knight meanness that George had come to associate with the name.

According to her brother, Malcolm, if he didn’t find her a job, or somewhere to be, then their father would disown her. Malcolm didn’t want to cause a scandal, so he begged George to take her in as a homemaker, housekeeper, or something.

As it turned out, Anna-Beth didn’t have a desire to run a cutthroat business, but what she did have was the ability to cook and clean. His home was spotless. When he agreed to take her, George had expected her to be lazy, or trouble. All he’d ever heard was Malcolm complain about his sister, but she was actually a hard worker.

She got all her jobs done efficiently. She simply wasn’t cut out to be in the office, working a nine-to-five job.

From what he could tell, Anna-Beth had many different hobbies, interests, and loves. He watched her as she danced freely around the garden. Once again, she was wearing a sundress that molded to her large tits and waist, and then flared out past her hips to her ankles.

His two cocker spaniel dogs, Rex and Tee, were running around her feet. He saw her laughing as well, which lit up her whole face. She looked so confident and within her element he found it impossible to look away.

They had already shared breakfast that morning. He insisted on it.

He’d known Malcolm for nearly twenty years now, and had only seen Anna-Beth a couple of times. She was ten years younger than he was, and the first time he saw her, she’d been a ten-year-old girl. The next time had been at her eighteenth birthday party, and if he was honest, she’d not actually been present at the party, or at least he hadn’t seen her. And then, the final time had been as Malcolm brought her to his home three months ago.

He had expected to hate every second of having her in his home, but she was in fact a dream. From the moment he’d seen her again, with her long, blonde hair and beautiful, intense blue eyes, he’d felt this need to keep her. He’d not said anything to Malcolm, as he didn’t want there to be any reason for her to leave his home. Keeping her close was important.

At forty years old, George had encountered many a gold-digging woman. He’d even been used by one in the past, but he vowed he never would be again. Anna-Beth was no gold-digger.

Even if he hadn’t known her these past few months, and the fact she came from wealth, her complete lack of desire for it was an indicator. Also, according to her brother, she donated a lot of money to causes she was passionate about, much to her parents’ annoyance.

Moving away from the window, he couldn’t resist the pull of going to see her without a window or distance between them. Within minutes, he was standing on his back patio, listening to the rock music playing out of her cell phone as she danced with the dogs. Her giggle was infectious, and it took every ounce of control for him to not join her.

The dogs loved her, which was another surprise. When he had unexpected visitors, he often had to lock them away, as they didn’t like other people. They were rescue dogs, and from what the shelter told him, the start to their lives hadn’t been good, so he fell in love with them.

They were well-trained, if not a little disobedient at night, as they came into his room and slept on the floor near his bed. He knew he should send them back to their own beds, but he just couldn’t bring himself to do it. He also knew that the dogs now divided their time between his own bed and Anna-Beth’s.

She spun around and finally came to a stop the moment she saw him. The music kept playing.

“You can come and join us, you know,” Anna-Beth said. She was panting a little, making her chest rise and fall with each intake of breath. It was a struggle not to succumb to looking at her chest, but he managed to keep his gaze at face height.

“I don’t dance.”

“All the more reason for you to do so. Come on, George!” She threw her hands up in the air, still holding her cell phone. “It is a Friday, and you’ve got to learn to be free. To shake off the week and just party.” She swung her hips from side to side and then spun around, wriggling her butt.
The moment Drago Jones sees Selma, he knows he wants her. There's only one problem—she's his enemy’s daughter. With his reputation, it's not too hard to get Kent to offer up his kid, giving Drago exactly what he wants.Selma knew her father wasn’t a good man. As soon as she could, she ran from him, and tried to live a life of love and compassion, giving back to those that needed her. Now, she's away from the only life she has loved, married to a stranger. All she knows is that her father feared Drago. What does this man want with her? Will she be able to survive it?Drago craves his woman. He intends to build a life with her, have a family. Something he never thought he wanted. But now, he does—with Selma. What will happen when she is faced with the ultimate choice?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Prologue

“Go on. Do it. End it. Why are you just staring at me like that?”

Drago Jones stared at his nemesis, George Kent, for several seconds. It was true that he’d wanted to end this man for what felt like a lifetime. George had persistently gotten in his way. Deals had been thwarted because of this little bastard, and he hated him a great deal. He knew this day would come where it would be either him or George. There was no doubt in his mind who would fail.

Where George had been a pest to him, Drago had taken more of the city, spreading out, expanding faster than George could keep up with. It was all down to this—a crumbling casino, at gunpoint, where George had nowhere to go.

Drago waved his hand. “Leave us.”

One by one, his men left the room and Drago sat on the edge of the table, looking toward George.

“Are you a fool? There is no way you’d waste such a perfect opportunity to get rid of me.” George laughed and it sounded almost hysterical.

Drago stared at him, and like life had taught him many times to be patient, to wait it out, sure enough, it wasn’t long before the smile on George’s face disappeared.

This was no laughing matter.

There was no joke.

“What do you want?” George asked.

“Ah, you finally figured out the only reason you’re breathing is that I want something.”

“You have taken everything!” George slashed his arm through the air, going downward and across. “What more could you want?”

“You have one thing left that is important to you,” Drago said.

George frowned and rubbed at his temple.

“There is nothing, you have taken it all.”

Drago wanted to slit his throat. Patience. He had to be calm. There was no way he could kill this man when he wanted something.

“There is nothing precious to you? Nothing important to you?”

“No. You know this!”

He reached into his jacket pocket and held up the picture of who he wanted. Selma Kent, George’s only daughter.

Drago watched as his face went white.

“No,” George said.

“Do you not consider her important to you?”

“You cannot … no, she is, no, Selma is not like us.”

“I know she is not like us. Is that why she has nothing to do with you?” Drago asked.

He hadn’t realized George had any children. The man was a whore and loved a lot of women, but it was by accident he stumbled onto Selma, and in fact, it went back to a party a year ago.

It was rare for him and Drago to attend the same parties, but from time to time it happened. They always kept things clean. Both simply avoided each other, that way, there was no bloodshed. This time, though, George hadn’t come alone. He’d been with someone, a female someone.

Over the years, Drago had enjoyed his fair share of women. He didn’t even have to click his fingers because women were always there. They begged for a chance to be with him, so he’d never been short on bed partners.

One look at Selma, and Drago had never been so captivated. He found himself watching her, completely uninterested in everything else going on around him. All he cared about was this woman. When George left her alone, he got closer, and the sound of her voice, soft and beautiful, enraptured him, even her smile.

She was beautiful. Her long, brown hair was curled, and she had worn it cascading down her back. All he wanted to do was stroke the length. Her brown eyes held such warmth, something he’d never known before. From that moment, he knew he needed to steal her away, but he didn’t know who she was.

With Geroge gone, he’d introduced himself without saying his name, to be on the safe side. He’d hinted at who she was and why she was at the party with such a boring man. Selma had laughed and said she was visiting her father and he asked her to attend this party.
Carson always gets what he wants. His days of living on the streets, begging for food and money, are over. He rose up to become … the Boss. The king. This city is his and no one takes anything from him.

The moment he meets sweet Willow Kaye, Carson knows he has to have her. He wants to possess her and will do everything in his power to do exactly that. There is only one problem, her grandmother. She knows who he is and what he is capable of.

When Lauren comes to him and asks for him to take care of her granddaughter, he knows something isn’t right. Lauren is dying and she wants someone to be there for Willow.

Willow knows exactly who Carson is. She sees the fear in people’s eyes, and the way they all move to avoid him. After losing her grandmother, she is not ready for him.

Carson gave her time, now she belongs to him, and he’s going to do everything he can to claim her. He wants her by his side, as his wife, and the mother of his children. Lauren asked him to do one thing, to make Willow have experiences and that is what he’s going to do. He’ll give Willow a good life, one she deserves. All she has to do is love him.

But will he be able to protect her from his world? He has a reputation people love to bring down, so can he survive long enough to have it all?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Prologue

It was not easy to intrigue Carson Dexter. Considering he was the most feared man in the state, if not the country, it took a lot to gain his attention. One of his men told him that Mrs. Lauren Kaye wanted to speak to him. This did make him stop working.

He watched as the older woman, in her seventies, entered his office. It was strange for her to be here, in his nightclub, where he conducted a great deal of legal business. He saw Lauren had lost a great deal of weight in the last few months and as he sat back, he happened to notice the lack of spring in her step.

“Mrs. Kaye,” he said.

“Mr. Dexter.”

Without invitation, she took a seat in front of him. They had spoken many times over the past few years. Usually, their meetings left him somewhat frustrated. He had to admire the woman’s grit, though. Of course, when he first approached her to buy her fabric store, he’d done so with the intention of tearing it down to build something more profitable for himself.

Everything had changed by the fifth meeting, when he’d walked into her shop and met Willow Kaye, the older woman’s granddaughter.

He leaned forward, pressing the tips of his fingers together. “You’ve come to me, Mrs. Kaye. I suggest you start talking. I can only assume you’d like to make a deal with me?”

Lauren sighed. “You and I both know I don’t need security for the shop. I run a profitable business, and I don’t need your hooligans for protection either.”

She was unaware that he had men stationed close to the shop, just in case. Normally, he made people pay for his services, but for Lauren, it was free. Well, mainly for Willow, but he also made sure to keep Lauren protected.

“I…” Lauren stopped. “I know who you are and what you do. You’re not a good man, nor are you a kind man, but I know you won’t hurt her. At least, not intentionally.”

Carson stared at the woman, curious where this was going.

“Life is short, you know that, right? I’m sure all of us older people tell younger people how fleeting it is, and I can promise you, they’re all right. Life is way too short. Before you know where you are, you’ve lost your husband, your daughter, and you’re taking care of your granddaughter the best way you know how. Unfortunately, I have fallen to the same illness that took my husband and child,” Lauren said.

He knew all about her history. He’d met Archie, her husband, before. He was a good man, a fair man. Since he met Willow, he’d made it his personal mission to know every single detail about the young woman.

Willow Kaye was twenty-one years old, and when she was thirteen, she lost her father to a drunk driver, and three years later, her mother to cancer. At sixteen she was living with her grandmother, and he’d only met her last year. The moment he had seen Willow and witnessed her smile, he knew he had to have her. She belonged to him, and so, little by little, he worked his power. Lauren would be his biggest obstacle.

“You’re dying?” Carson asked.

“Yes, and I have to say I’m quite surprised you’re not happy about it. I’ll no longer be in the way.”

Carson got to his feet, not at all surprised to find that Lauren knew he wished to pursue Willow.

“Why have you come to me?”

“I’ve seen the way you look at her. I know of the men you’ve got stationed around the street. Even some of the customers that come to us are part of your little team. When I’m gone, Willow will have nothing. She’ll have no one and I know it’s going to break her heart. She has been dealt a bad hand, has known way too much loss.” Lauren bowed her head and he saw her hand clenched into a fist. “But, I know you’ll take care of her. You’ll keep her safe and you will make sure she never knows a moment of sadness again.”

“You’re giving me your granddaughter?” he asked.

“I’m asking you to love her. I’m asking you to find it in your heart to want more than pain. Willow is a sweet woman, and I know you’re not used to women like her. I’m asking you to take care of her.”

“And what do I get in return?” Carson asked.

Lauren smiled. “Something I imagine you’ve never experienced before in your life.”

He waited, curious as to what this older woman thought she was offering. Lauren stood.

“Someone who will eventually love you back. Someone who wants to know that you’re okay. Someone who no matter the danger will run toward you, and never want to see you hurt. I’m giving you the chance to have a family of your own.”
From the moment Evil sees Noelle, he has to have her. She’s out of a job, and he needs a PA. She doesn’t have to know who he really is, how his name instills fear. He owns the city, and soon, he’s going to own Noelle.
Noelle knows exactly who Evil is. When she’s attacked, Evil’s protection goes into overdrive, and she has no choice but to fight him if she wants to be free. She pushes his buttons, but he can’t let her go. He needs to make her his, and the only way to do that is to knock her up.
Evil can’t rest until he knows his enemies will leave Noelle alone. He has to protect her, especially when he learns she’s pregnant. But as soon as she tells him, he disappears.

Was Evil’s need a lie, or will he surprise her with the family she has always dreamed about?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

“I want their heads, now!” Evil Carter snarled at two of his men. They were supposed to hand him the heads of the two-bit drug group that had put a hit out on his woman. They’d failed to get their target as they had no idea he’d be the one watching her. Instead, they’d gotten his wrath, and now, he was on the warpath and intended to make them all pay.

The men nodded and immediately spun away from him, trying to get as far away from him as possible. He didn’t take kindly to sloppy behavior, and with Noelle’s life at stake, there better not be any fuck-ups.

Running his fingers through his hair, he spun around and came face-to-face with the woman he’d craved from the first moment he saw her—Noelle Benson. She wasn’t his usual type. Not even by a long shot. Blonde with pretty blue eyes, full-figured, and a kindness in her eyes that should have pushed him away. Yet, here they were.

As he stared at her face, a fresh wave of anger assailed him.

She’d been working for him as his personal assistant on all of his legal matters for over six months. Noelle knew it was all a front. Evil Carter was not a good man and he’d never claimed to be one.

The bruises that covered her face were a testimony to that. He hadn’t caused them. He’d never hurt her, wouldn’t dream of laying a single finger on her or harming her in any way.

His enemies, those stupid fucks, had done all the damage.

“Are you done?” Noelle asked.

“No.” He took a step toward her, cupping her cheeks and tilting her head back.

She had a swollen, bruised eye, a couple of cuts on her cheek, another on her forehead, and a split lip. The beating she’d taken was extensive. The men who’d attacked her hadn’t expected him to show up.

Evil couldn’t bring himself to leave her alone. She was his everything, and she had been for a lot longer than she’d been working for him.

He’d first met Noelle in a bar. Well, he hadn’t met her. She’d entered the bar, alone, looking entirely miserable, and sat at the bar, turning away men who came to ask her to dance. From the moment he saw her, he’d been hooked. It hadn’t taken him long to find out everything there was to know about her. She was twenty-nine years old. No family. Bounced from job to job with no real sense of direction. No current boyfriend and no proof of a previous boyfriend or husband.

When she went to that bar, she’d just been let go from her current waitressing job. She’d refused to sleep with the owner, and it had cost her. She had once told him that she never fucked her way into a job.

After twenty-four hours, he knew more about her than most of the men working for him. He’d found her shitty apartment and offered her a job as his PA. She had the experience as she’d worked in a similar field.

She’d known who he was, and much to his surprise, she’d taken the job without a second’s hesitation. That was six months ago.

He’d been able to keep her close, and that in itself had been hard. Whenever he was around her, his dick was rock fucking hard. All he could imagine was touching her beautiful body. Feeling those full tits against his chest.

Evil was hungry for Noelle.

Seeing her bruised face, he had failed her. “Should I get a doctor?” he asked.

“And pay ridiculous amounts for him to say I’ve got a few boo-boos? Nah, not going to happen.”

“The pain level?”

She rolled her eyes. “It’s manageable. Besides, you know I don’t medicate for any reason.”

She really didn’t. Noelle even refused painkillers for headaches and would opt to lie down instead. Of course, he didn’t know this until her headache from a couple of weeks ago had turned into a migraine at the office. It was rare for her to get them, but she did.
The place wasn’t too busy, which was a surprise. Considering how many restaurants were in the area, he figured this one would struggle. The food was what kept this place on top. Not the décor, which seemed like it had taken a step down from horror movie land.

The moment he stepped inside, he saw her. The only reason he came to this place. Macie Green sat at the counter, several books spread out, a cup of coffee to one side, and a furrow between her brows.

He should back away, leave this blasted diner, and never see her again. She was way too young. She was twenty-two years old, so sweet, so kind, and the world just kept fucking her over, left, right, and center. Like now, she had been diagnosed dyslexic many years ago. She had opened up to him late one night and told him every single detail of her life. So foolish. She had no idea who he was, or what he wanted to do to her.

Everyone in her life had called her stupid, dumb, and a waste of space. Here she was, working full-time at the diner, and studying at a local college, struggling through. She looked close to tears, and it was like getting punched in the gut.

Rather than turn away from her curvaceous beauty, he took a step toward her, knowing there was no turning back, not now, not ever.

Macie had gotten under his skin. She was all he thought about, and considering he was eighteen years older than her, that said something. He’d never been without female company. Whenever he had the need to fuck, all he ever had to do was call a woman, and she was putty in his hands. It always helped that he was a generous lover.

He loved to fuck, and he did so dirty and hard. Ever since he met Macie three months ago, there hadn’t been any other woman in his life or in his bed. The only woman he wanted was Macie.

Sweet, sexy Macie, who would look so good spread out naked, taking his cock. He couldn’t decide which part of her he wanted first. Her pussy was high up on that list, but her mouth, the fullness of her lips wrapped around his length, was nearly impossible to deny himself. Then, of course, there was her tight asshole. He doubted any man had ever fucked her at all.

She was so unaware of her sexual allure.

He removed his jacket and took a seat beside her.

“Wilson,” she said, looking up and smiling.

“Hey, beautiful.” He glanced down at her books. “What have you got here?”

“Nothing. It’s all stupid.” She slammed the books closed, got to her feet, and rounded the counter. She tucked strands of her brown hair behind her ears. “It’s so good to see you. What would you like?” She handed him a menu, and he nodded toward the coffee pot.

He pretended to look down, but the moment her back was turned, he watched the sway of her full ass. He couldn’t wait to run his hands all over that rounded ass. So full and juicy. He’d gladly sink his teeth into the flesh.

His cock began to swell, and as she turned around, he returned his attention to the menu in his grip.

There was nothing else he wanted but Macie’s pussy, but instead, he ordered a burger and fries.

Again, until he stepped into this diner three months ago, he hadn’t had a burger since he was a kid. Steaks were more his thing, but he figured a few greasy burgers wouldn’t kill him, at least not yet.

Tapping his fingers on the counter, he watched as Macie wrote down his order. The chef, Carl, was a sweet guy, and from what he understood, the only person in her life to adapt so she could have a job. No one else would take the time with her.

She poured him some coffee. No cream. No sugar. Just the way he liked it.

“How have you been?” she asked.

“Busy. You know how it is. Life happens. Contracts and stuff.”

“I’m so pleased you don’t do that bodyguard work anymore. You must have been so scared doing some of your work.”

He used to work as a bodyguard up until a few years ago, when his investments paid off. He was a wealthy man and had his fingers in so many industries. Being at the frontline of protecting celebrities and businessmen, he’d learned a thing or two, and with that knowledge, he’d made a life for himself. He was wealthy, and the only thing he wanted stood right in front of him.

Too young.

But he didn’t care.

Macie was his.

“You’d have missed me?” he asked.
Laylah doesn’t know what to think when Blue acts strange, even asking her out on a date. There’s no way it can work. Where Blue is many of her firsts: first kiss, first date, first boyfriend—she isn’t any of his. His reputation puts her off.

Blue Jones is in completely, head-over-heels in love with Laylah Miller. They’ve been going to the same school, but after one look at her, everything changes. He has to have her. She’s the first woman he’s ever fallen for, and he doesn’t want to go another day without staking his claim.
A couple of his friends laughed at him, but he didn’t give a shit. If they wanted to keep him on the team, they knew to keep their mouths shut about what he was doing. He’d been clear to them. He wanted the nerdy girl, Laylah Miller, to belong to him, and if they so much as got in his way, well, he’d make sure they were the laughing stock of the entire town where football was a big deal. None of his friends understood him or his desire for Laylah.

She was so smart, kind, and had the perfect smile. He couldn’t stop looking for her. Whenever he came to school, he made his way down the long corridors, hoping to find her.

Of course, he always did.

He had plenty of people willing to do whatever he wanted for a price. Even if it was just a handshake in said corridor in front of a couple of chicks. He knew the deal. He was the shit in this school. Top jock and all-time champion, even though he was part of a team, but no one else seemed to give a shit about that. Nope, they were more interested in what he did on the field, not everyone else.

According to the town, he won everything. He didn’t and he made sure his team was always there, and he praised them.

Right now, he stood beside Laylah’s locker, waiting for her, ready to make his move. He could have any other chick in this damn high school, and he had, in fact, had them. This was before he recognized Laylah. Before he’d spotted her, laughing at something someone had said. Her laughter had drawn his attention. Whenever he saw her, her arms were filled with books. He’d been so drawn to her, he actually thought she was a new student, but after careful research, he’d discovered they’d always gone to the same school, since kindergarten, and even shared several of the same classes.

Again, he didn’t know how he hadn’t noticed her, but that smile, and fuck, her body, he wanted her, craved her. His teammates weren’t of the same mind. To some, they considered her curves as fat, but not him. When he’d seen her in a swimsuit the other week, he’d nearly lost his shit. Nice big tits, round thighs, and a body that screamed to be fucked. He knew at eighteen he shouldn’t know all about sex and pleasing a woman, but he’d had a lot of practice. He’d lost his virginity at the ripe age of fourteen, and had even found a woman to teach him how to be the best. Those lessons had become invaluable. However, he’d trade it all in if Laylah would look at him for just a single second. That was all he wanted. The past couple of months had been pure torture, watching her from afar, trying to get on her radar, when he always seemed to be the furthest thing from it.

She drove him crazy.

Other than the occasional hey or thanks when she’d dropped her books, she hadn’t spoken to him. Now as he stood there, waiting for her to approach, his palms were sweaty. Tapping his fingers against his thigh, he tried to be cool. She wouldn’t go for someone who was horrible and looked like a serial killer.

He had to keep his shit.

Come on, Blue, the only way to win this game is to be yourself.

He was used to winning and believed it was the key value to everything.

Hands clenched, he watched her turn the corner. She was on her own, but she wasn’t looking up. Her head was down in a book. She always had a whole armful of books, and it drove him crazy on days he just wanted to see her beautiful face.

Was it so hard to look up?

She came to a stop a few feet from where he stood, and he waited, expecting her to see him.

How many times had she come to this locker as she reached out and began to open it? He cleared his throat and she looked up. She wore the cutest pair of glasses for reading, which she pushed up her nose.

“Hey,” she said.

“Hey.”

She pressed her lips together and turned to look into her locker, closing the book she’d been reading.

“Good book?”

“You can say that.” She smiled at him. “What can I help you with, Blue?” she asked.

She knew his name. Of course, she knew his name. They shared a lot of classes together and he was king in this school, not that he allowed it all to go to his head. His father had told him to always keep his feet firmly on the ground and to never behave like a dick, even if he could get away with it. According to his mom, his dad spoke from experience. His father had once been a jock, king in his own right, but he’d also been a giant dick, nearly losing him and his mom in the process.
