Rocco rejected his mate. With all the trouble in Poison, he just doesn't have time to deal with the reclusive woman. He's not ready to be mated, so the easiest thing for him to do is reject her. Only, the club needed her, as did the pack.

Rose Swift was hurt. She had witnessed what it was like for real mates, but her mate didn’t even want to know her. So, when she’s asked to deal with the mess an insane doctor had created, she intends to steer well away from Rocco. He is not her mate, nor will he ever be. If only it was easier to deny him.

Rocco wants to keep his distance, but the way Rose smells, the way she looks—it’s like she’s a magnet, and he can't resist.

When one of Dr. Milton’s experiments comes crashing into the pack, there is something different about this one. He’s in control, he’s stable, and above all else, he somehow manages to become good friends with Rose. Rocco convinces himself he's only sticking around to protect her, but being around her is exactly what the wolf ordered.

Is there any way that Rose can forgive him? He will not turn his back on her again.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Prologue

Rocco was pissed off.

There had been several humans infected with the wolf gene and whatever concoction the mad scientist doctor had thought to give to unsuspecting men and women.

He couldn’t believe anyone would be stupid enough to meddle with this kind of shit. Wolves and humans were not meant to be played with. No one should be playing God.

He’d left the pack to take a nice long walk through the forest. The whole pack of Poison had already been for their run, enjoying the full moon to its fullest. He ran fingers through his hair, and stared up at the moon. Instead of enjoying it in his wolf fur, he’d been watching another human succumb to the infection, and the mess. They seemed to get even bloodier than the last ones.

Rocco truly felt they should start killing them to show mercy, not because he wanted to kill humans, but to save them.

With his hands on his hips, he didn’t look away from the full moon. Every single time he struggled with the decisions he needed to make, he looked toward the full moon for answers, but it was rare for any to be granted to him.

There was no answer for the humans that were infected. No answer as to the true extent of Milton’s cruelty. As a pack, they were dealing with the consequences.

He took a deep breath and then he smelled it—the sweetest vanilla, cinnamon scent he’d ever experienced. His wolf’s interest was instantly piqued, and he glanced around the forest, wondering who could own such a beautiful scent.

It was late, or early, depending on the person’s view of day and night. It was close to three in the morning and wouldn’t be long before the sun rose.

He looked around the forest, and it was like he couldn’t hold back. All he could do was put one foot in front of the other, and then the next, and the next, until he stumbled upon … her.

At first, Rocco couldn’t believe it, and then he didn’t want to believe it. Standing in her garden, wearing a long white summer dress, was none other than the recluse, Rose Swift. One of the only cleaners the pack had.

Rocco didn’t know if all packs had people who were able to clean up. In rare, very rare circumstances, there were young wolves going through their first transitions who didn’t make it. There were those wolves that were able to clean up what was left behind.

He knew there might come a time when the club would need to call upon Rose. There was a time when her parents were called as well, but they had long since passed. Rather than join the pack and become part of it, she always stayed on the outskirts, never making friends, never quite joining in. A recluse, and to some, a little too weird for their tastes.

Staring at her now, he couldn’t believe what he was thinking or feeling.

He’d not been around Rose all that much, and now, the scent that was coming from her had to be wrong.

Suddenly, as if her wolf picked up his scent, she looked at him and they stared at one another. She was shocked, as was he.

Rose took a step toward him, but he shook his head.

“No, fucking hell no. You and I, we aren’t ever going to happen.”

Rocco didn’t know if he said anything else as it was all a blur, but he sensed her sadness and her pain.

He’d hurt his mate, but in that moment he knew he didn’t have the time or mindset to care.

Chapter One

“Holy fucking shit,” Rocco said, unable to keep the yell out of his voice as the last spurt of blood spilled out of the latest human-wolf mutation.

Alpha was the closest and got the main spray.

Rocco had lost count now of how many humans were killed in the last few weeks. He was getting tired of cleaning up dead bodies.

“So that didn’t fucking work,” Rocco said.

They had tried everything, from breaking the bones of the humans, to attempting to put them to sleep, to Alpha trying to force the change. There had even been one where they attempted to gather round like a pack to demonstrate what they were changing for. None of it worked. Not a single thing seemed to work, and it was driving him crazy.

He knew the guys didn’t like what was happening. Some of the humans were not even waiting for the full moon to change. They were changing midway through the moon cycle, and it was all totally fucked up. There was no balance.

“Well, was that the last idea you guys had?”

Rocco tensed up as he turned toward the only person who was clean within their vicinity—Rose Swift.

She stood, arms folded, looking around at the debris. Even though she tried not to show that the sight of the blood and a few body parts didn’t bother her, he knew it did. He also knew this woman hated his guts more than anything. Everyone knew she did, but the only two people who knew why were him and Rose.
All of her life, Agatha Preston never felt like she belonged. Her parents made her keep secrets about herself and what she was capable of. After their death, there's nothing for her in the city. She doesn't know what she's looking for until she finds it in a small town called Poison. The locals are awful and rude, but she loves the town and there's no way she's leaving.

There was a human in town and that always had the pack on edge. They had to keep every single part of their lives in check, which was exhausting.

Boyan tried to persuade the little human to leave town. There was only one problem—he knows there's something off about her. Agatha is not quite human, and she’s not quite wolf either. It’s in her scent, in her eyes, and certainly in her ability to heal fast.

The woman he starts falling in love with is not all wolf and she isn't all human. A year ago, they discovered a vet who found out about them, and he tried to turn innocent people into wolves. Several humans had been infected with wolf blood. None of them had survived. The vet had a lot of files in his practice—one of them titled Agatha Preston.

Panic unlike anything he’d ever felt consumes him. He finally finds his woman that was all his and now, there was a chance he wasn’t going to keep her. They have to find someone who worked with the doctor before it was too late. Every second she stays in Poison, the stronger her wolf is becoming.

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

Agatha Preston thanked the young waitress who served her. Before she could ask any questions, though, the woman was gone, walking away without saying a word. She wasn’t worried. In this small, quaint town, which she believed was named Poison, a lot of the locals were very offish, especially with her.

She had noticed most were perfectly fine with one another and more than welcoming, but it seemed when it came to her, they were not exactly forthcoming. She’d arrived in town two days ago, and at first, no one had been helpful. Whenever she asked about a hotel, they would look at her cluelessly, but that didn’t matter.

Her original plan had been to stay for a couple of days, take some pictures, enjoy the scenery, and move on, only that hadn’t happened. All it had taken was two days for her to fall in love with the town. Not the people, just the town. It was like a small village in the middle of nowhere, surrounded by forest—a place for people to get lost, and right now, she didn’t want to leave. For the first time in forever, she finally felt peace and at home.

Staring down at her burger and fries, she felt her mouth water, and she took a large bite, closing her eyes at the exquisite taste. The food alone was to die for. She grabbed some ketchup and squirted a nice, big dollop onto her plate. The diet was gone. She didn’t even know why she bothered to lose weight. There was no boyfriend waiting in the wings. Not even her adoptive mother was around to glare at her unhealthy eating.

Another bite of the cheeseburger, and before she had even finished, she shoved a fry in. She was so hungry. Every now and then, she caught people staring at her, but she refused to feel self-conscious. She wasn’t eating like a pig. There was no dribble of sauce down her chin, nothing, and what did it matter if there was? She wasn’t hurting anyone.

Pushing her negative thoughts to the back of her mind, she looked down at her food and made an effort to not look at anyone else.

The plan for the day was to go exploring. She wanted to see if there was a house or an apartment for sale, which meant she could prolong her stay. The hotel she stayed at wasn’t exactly welcoming. Each morning, noon, and night, the owner, who refused to introduce herself, asked when she was leaving.

She couldn’t believe how inhospitable they were being, but then again, she wasn’t exactly known for giving in to rudeness. Her adoptive parents had always told her to stand her ground for what she believed in. They’d been the rocks in her life up until a year ago, when they had died in a horrible auto collision. The pain of losing them had been so acute, and little by little, through traveling, she’d been able to soothe her broken soul.

Traveling helped a lot, and she documented her experience in her blog. Everywhere she’d been, she’d made a post, or several, talking about the food, the scenery, the vibe, all of it. Ever since she arrived in Poison, she hadn’t typed a single word. There was so much she wanted to say, but at the same time, this was a tiny piece of heaven, and she knew that, deep in her soul.

Agatha’s attention was pulled away from her food and drawn to the main door, which was open as it was the height of summer. She spotted two large men wearing leather jackets who seemed to pull all the diner’s gazes toward them. They walked past her table, and one of the men, who sported a long ponytail, stopped and looked at her.

Poison Wolves MC. They were a motorcycle club. She had seen quite a few in the past year, but none of them had looked like this. They were tall men, large, and muscular as well. Both wore jeans that clung to them like a second skin.

Agatha couldn’t look away, especially from the guy with the ponytail. She didn’t even know why she was drawn to him. He moved toward the counter, and she noticed he watched her. She had already finished her food. This was not normal for her. She wasn’t used to such scrutiny and it was making her nervous. Why was he staring at her? Her hands shook a little and her stomach seemed to twist as she continued to sit at the table.

Agatha grabbed her bag, lifted her tray, and carried it across the diner to where she saw several empty trays stored. Sliding hers inside, she turned and made her way to the counter, only to stop when Ponytail stood right in front of her.

“You’re not from around here, are you?” he asked.
No one will ever face the Poison Wolves MC and live...

Amelia isn’t liked by her pack. As a vegan, animal lover, and completely against violence, she doesn’t fit in with her fellow wolves. They’ve been trying to get her removed from the pack, but the Poison Wolves MC won’t allow it.
Wolfe has wanted Amelia for some time. There’s just something about the sexy, curvy wolf that he can’t get out of his head. When hunters come close, it’s their job to protect. And after Amelia finds someone lurking near her home, the MC puts a protection detail on her.

It’s Wolfe’s opportunity to finally have her to himself. But she’s a virgin. He’s never been with a virgin, and now, he considers it his job to make it right, to show her every carnal desire.

As the days go by without sightings, Wolfe has to wonder if she lied about seeing something in the woods. Is her life in danger? Or did she just want the attention?

Amelia has never sought out the pack’s attention, and she didn’t lie about the threat. Danger awaits, but will it be too late for Wolfe to save her?

*************FULL BOOK START HERE*************

Chapter One

It wasn’t unusual to see the Poison Wolves President angry. Alpha was pissed off because, once again, the beta team fucked up. The man securing the left side of their land had been too preoccupied with getting his dick sucked by a biker groupie, and now, they had a team of humans hunting on their land. There was nothing Alpha hated more than humans. He couldn’t stand them.

Wolfe watched as Alpha slammed his fist into the beta’s face. The man was completely out of his depth.

When the man requested to join the second-level support beta team, Wolfe knew it was a mistake. Josh was always messing up. He was known for hunting for pussy. Being part of the Poison Wolves had been his primary target, but he didn’t have the alpha trait inside him. Not like all the guys who were part of the primary MC club.

Not like him, Alpha, Draco, Enzo, Boyan, and the list could go on and on. The Poison Wolves MC kept control of the pack. Alpha was their leader, and they answered to him. His word was law within the pack.

It had helped them to survive and to ward off any chance of extinction from their enemies, and they had plenty of them.

They didn’t have time for this. The pack had been put on alert, which meant everyone was sent home while they dealt with the problem. Wolfe was pissed off. He’d just gotten off a three-day ride. No sleep, no food, and he was hungry, dirty, and in need of a shower and food, lots and lots of food.

Instead, he had to deal with another guy’s incompetence. Another reason to be totally angry today.

If Alpha asked him to deal with Josh, the bastard wasn’t making it home alive.

Being the VP, he could hurt, hunt, and kill. Right now, snapping the little shit’s neck felt like a good idea. He wanted to. Oh, boy, did he want to.

Hunters on their land was serious business. None of them found this funny, or even remotely entertaining. A few years ago, hunters had been on their land, and a couple who had recently mated were out enjoying the heat—Draco and his mate.

The human hunter shot the female wolf. She died within minutes as he’d gotten her in the neck, one of the few areas they were vulnerable. Then they had to deal with the carnage that ensued. Alpha had no choice but to keep Draco close. It had taken months of chaining him up, trying to keep his rage under control. At one point, Alpha had to consider killing him.

That was a bad day.

Instead, Draco showed his worth to the pack. He got his savagery under control and now served as one of them. Of course, when it came to humans, Draco wasn’t … he wasn’t a big fan. Kind of like Alpha. Neither of them could stand humans.

If the hunters didn’t leave soon, another bloodbath was going to happen.

Not only would he have three days of dirt to wash off, it would also be more blood. Yay. Blood was harder to get out of his clothes and his flesh.

“I’m sorry. I’m so sorry. She was there and her mouth, fuck me, Alpha, you’ve got to test her out. Her mouth is a fucking dream. The best dick-sucking a guy could ask for.”

Josh was not helping himself.

Another fist to the face, and this time, it knocked him clean out.

“Take him to the cages. He doesn’t get food until I say so,” Alpha said.

Rocco and Gray grabbed Josh, lifting his body and dragging him away.

“Wolfe, Draco, you’re with me.” Alpha shook his fingers, and now they were on the hunt.

Why couldn’t he have picked one of the other guys? Why did it have to be him?

Instead of showering and eating, he was heading deep into the forest. It was dark, and none of them spoke as they hunted.

Their senses were a hundred times better than any human. He breathed in the air and knew a couple of bunnies were running around a few feet away. A few deer were sipping at the lake. There was a fox in the distance. The forest was alive.

And … he heard the hunters as well. They were not too far from the town, which fucking sucked. He wasn’t in the mood to kill.

Anger raced down his spine as he listened. They were attempting to hunt deer, and that pissed Wolfe off. No one hunted on their land but them, and deer were protected.

Thinking of the deer reminded him of Amelia Stokes. The town’s only vegan. Yes, a female wolf vegan who had gotten the town to sign a petition that stopped them hunting fucking deer.

Not that he had enjoyed eating living flesh or knowing that he had. He’d been turning into a wolf for so long, he knew everything he did. He felt his wolf deep in his soul, and they had standards. Providing it was completely cooked through, he’d eat it. He hated medium rare or rare—fucking gross.
