At that moment, she believed him.

He was ferocious. Always had been. Everyone in high school had been terrified of Blair’s big brother. He took the role very seriously, which was why none of them had ever bullied her or Blair.

One of his hands moved up and cupped one of her breasts as the other moved down. She wore a pair of jeans that had faded long ago, but they still fit her, and she didn’t have the money to go buying more clothes.

He cupped her pussy, and she gasped.

“This is mine, Fay. I am happy to play your game right now. Not to tell Blair, but you will not go on any more dates. This body is mine to command. Mine to take, and you will give yourself to me.” He bit her neck, not hard to cause a mark but enough to make her groan.

An answering pulse spread out from between her thighs, and she wanted him.

“I can make every single one of your desires come true. I can make you beg. Make you whimper. Make you desperate and hungry for my cock. So long as you’re a good girl, I’ll give it to you.”

She whimpered as he started to rub between her legs.

Fay couldn’t stop her reaction. He was the one in control of her body. She was at his mercy. There was no way to stop it.

Sinking her teeth into her lip, she tried.

“One day soon, you are going to beg me, and then I’m going to show you everything you’ve been missing.”

In the next second, Blaze let her go, leaving the bathroom without looking back.

Fay stared at her reflection in the mirror.

Had she imagined that?

What the hell was going on with her?

She had no choice but to splash water on her overheated face.

Blaze was getting to her. She recalled the rumors back in high school, how some of the girls said his name was apt for what he did. He did set their bodies ablaze, and only he was the one to put out the fire.

Drying her face, she looked in the mirror and refused to fall so easily.

Was Blaze messing with her?

Was this punishment for stumbling onto his fighting?

She had no intention of telling Blair. She refused to lie, but that didn’t mean she would push Blair into discovering the truth.

Blaze had always fought.

Even when they were kids, she had seen him arrive home with cuts and bruises. When they were older, the same happened, only he always had a big envelope with him. He’d been a young man taking care of his sister. It didn’t take a genius to work it out.

What was she going to do about herself, though?

She had always had a crush on Blaze, but with him now chasing her, she didn’t know if she was ever going to be able to survive it.

Blaze found it cute that Fay had tried to avoid him.

Stepping down the sticky steps into the bar where she worked, he took a quick look around at the clientele.

He worked across the city at one of the more prominent strip clubs. Blaze got paid a lot of money to keep the trash out. His boss only wanted the men willing to pay the big bucks, and Blaze liked him.

Over the years, he’d taken quite a few jobs that he hadn’t liked.

Blaze didn’t like the stench in this bar, the desperation.

Fay was one of the few females working here, and he didn’t like it. He had no choice but to constantly pay a visit to her boss to remind him of what would happen if he didn’t keep his grubby hands to himself.

Now as he looked around the bar, he saw the men leering at her.

He glared at the men as Fay fussed around one of the empty tables, picking up empty glasses and putting them on her tray.

She avoided the men, working her way through the crowd to go back to the bar. He saw her cheeks were slightly pink, and she looked a little unsettled.

After heading to the bar, he took a seat.

“What can I g—” She didn’t finish.

“I’ll have a beer,” he said.

He imagined her piece-of-shit boss watered down the whiskey and hiked up the price.

“Blaze, what are you doing here?”

“You keep trying to avoid me, and in the past week, you’ve spent every single night with my sister.” He tutted. “Why?”

“Blaze, I’m working.”

“I can see that.”

She uncapped a bottle of beer and put it in front of him. “I don’t have time for this.”

Blaze watched as she stepped away. He didn’t pick up his beer as she moved down the bar, nodding at another client.

He didn’t like the look of him. Not that it was hard, Blaze never liked the look of anyone, but this guy rubbed Blaze the wrong way, just by staring at him. His suit was unkempt. There seemed to be a blob of mustard on his shirt and suit jacket. His face showed signs of not having a shave for several days.
