I can’t hold it back anymore, everything shattering inside of me. I’m falling to pieces in the lust of it, unable to stop everything we’ve shared and everything we’re going to share.

It bursts out of me, my screams becoming hollow.

I’m shivering deep inside, all the need gushing out like I’m emptying of every bad thing which has ever happened to me.

“I love you,” I somehow say, pushing past the orgasmic tightness in my throat.

“I love you,” he moans, fucking me faster and then groaning in the hottest way.

We finish together, the pleasure cascading through us.

It feels like something we’re sharing like one wave is bouncing between our bodies. I can feel his seed rushing into my core, making a perfect home there.

It’s like everything we hinted at, everything we knew, is coming true.

He collapses atop me. I press my mouth against his firm shoulder, kissing as my hands run across his sweaty, solid back.

Rolling aside, my man looks down at me with a serious expression. Our gazes meet, and the expression changes.

He smiles and looks down at me, leaning closer.

We kiss, and I luxuriate in the love, almost forgetting that look on his face.

I don’t want to ruin the moment, but I can’t forget it. I break the kiss off with an effort, my hands clasping his face.

“What is it, Eli?”

He smirks. “You can read me pretty easily, can’t you, Della?”

I kiss him, no longer feeling any nerves. And if Jess’ evil voice is there, it’s so quiet I can barely hear it.

Nothing can touch what Eli and I share.

“Are you surprised? I’m yours, aren’t I?”

“I was thinking about Hudson,” Eli says. “We should’ve told him before we did this. But you’re too irresistible. I can’t hold back now, ever.”

His hand trails up my thigh, stroking at the wetness there, getting closer to my sore entrance.

I move away slightly, but it takes a massive effort.

“We’ll tell him soon. All of it. If he knows we love each other, I think he’ll understand.”

But even to myself, my tone sounds anything but certain.

CHAPTER 24

Elias

I hope college is going well, I text, spinning in the office chair.

It was heaven waking up next to her this morning, cradling my love in my arms, kissing her awake. I’m at the gym since I don’t much like working from home, especially with Della busy in class. Or in between classes, since she replies.

It is. Thanks for the ride this morning.

Your days of taking the bus are over. I’m not saying it’s a bad thing, but it’s something you never have to do again. Just like you never have to do anything you don’t want to. I’m here for you. I love you.

I love you. I’ve been thinking about last night. Can you imagine if….

I smile, spinning in the chair. Are you thinking of something small and precious?

Oh, maybe…I don’t want to jinx it.

My smile widens. It felt so special, and I feel like something changed in us. Waiting for each other was the best thing we ever did.

You’re so romantic today. I love you so so so much.

You make me feel romantic. That would’ve been impossible once.

I look up at the pounding on my office door.

“Sir?” It’s Hudson’s voice. “I need to speak with you.”

I stand up, tucking my phone away, thinking of what Della and I said last night. We would tell Hudson soon, but he doesn’t know yet.

“Come in.”

Hudson walks into the office. He’s wearing a janitor’s outfit. He volunteered to do some groundskeeping between his sessions, which made me like him even more. He looks for ways to work harder, not less.

Stepping forward, he looks at me squarely in the face.

“I need to know what’s going on between you and my sister.”

I nod, sitting down, and laying my hands on the table. “Okay.”

Hudson tilts his head at me. “I thought you might deny it or shout at me or something.”

“You don’t deserve any of that. You deserve the truth. I told Della I’d wait, that we’d tell you together. But I know she’d understand why I have to tell you now.”

Hudson sits, leaning forward, his elbows on his knees. “Here’s how it is, sir…I happen to know a couple of people who go to Second Chance College. One of my high school pals is the janitor there, and another is a student. The point is, I heard about what happened, about how you stood up for Della.

“Word had it you were acting like you two were an item. So I’m asking, man to man, is it true?”

“It’s true,” I say.

“But….” Hudson shakes his head. “I thought you were better than that. I didn’t think you’d…but I don’t even know you….”

“I’m not using your sister like some older men use younger women, Hudson,” I snap, unable to contain the memories, the clashing numbers, the endless pushups. “Your sister and I are in love. I’m planning on proposing to her.”
