"Nothing," I whisper. Everything I need, I already have.

"Good. We're leaving your car," he says. "You're riding with me. I'm not letting you out of my sight again." He squeezes me in a hug and then presses his lips to my crown before tipping my head back. His eyes run over my face, his expression soft, full of worry. His thumbs run under my eyes, collecting my ears. "Be strong for me, little one. Just until we're home."

I take a deep breath, trying to get my emotions under control. He won't put me on the back of his bike until I do. No one protects me like Andreas. No one loves me like him. Choosing him wasn't a question. It wasn't a decision I had to make. I'll always choose him.

"Romano!" Connor shouts as he helps settle me onto the back of his bike and slips a helmet onto my head. "Get her the fuck out of here and don't let her come back."

"Grady!" Giant shouts back, lifting his middle fingers high in the sky. "You can't have her back, you ugly motherfucker. She's ours now."

Even though I feel like bawling, I leave my brother's house for the last time with a smile on my face.

"I'm so mad at you right now," Andreas whispers an hour later, trailing his hands up and down my arms as we cuddle in his giant bathtub. I'm seated in front of him, his body wrapped around me. He carried me up here as soon as we got home. He barely had the bike parked and I was crawled into his lap, sobbing.

"I'm not sorry," I say, leaning back against his chest. I tilt my head to the side, running my lips along the side of his jaw. "I had to try, Andreas. If there was even a chance that he'd listen to me, I had to take it."

"You told him about us," he says, tilting my head further back with his hand against my throat. His onyx eyes flicker across my face, searching.

"Of course I told him about you. I love you."

Pride flares in his eyes, darkening them. "What did he say?"

"Nothing." I frown at the reminder. "He didn't react at all. It was weird, Andreas."

"How so?"

"The only time he showed any emotion at all was when he heard the bikes and thought it was the MC. He panicked at the thought of them finding me there. The rest of the time he was just…a robot." I shrug helplessly, not sure how to explain. "It's like he wasn't my brother at all."

"I'm sorry, little one." Andreas dips his head, running his lips across my forehead. "I don't know what's going through his head or how he feels, but I do know what it's like to be a man who loves you beyond all reason, Catriona. He's losing you and even if he doesn't want to admit it, deep down, he knows that's his fault. That has to hurt like hell. It'd fucking destroy me, rabbit. Maybe this is his way of getting through it."

"Maybe." I sigh sadly. "I wish it didn't have to be this way."

"I know you do." He cuddles me closer, wrapping me all up in him. "Maybe someday it won't have to be. But for right now, you have to take care of you, little one. You have to let me take care of you. Once the dust clears, we'll sort out the rest."

"Promise?"

"I promise," he whispers.

I turn around on his lap, sending water sloshing over the sides of the tub. He eyes me through slit lids as I straddle his hips, his hands settling around my waist. His hair his damp, sticking up all over the place. Somehow, it makes him look even more beautiful than ever.

"What are you doing?" he asks.

"Well," I say, leaning forward to wrap my arms around his neck. My hands play through the hair at the nape of his neck and then down the muscles of his shoulders and upper back. God, he's so strong. So fierce. "I've been thinking."

"Yeah?" A hint of a smile crosses his face. "What have you been thinking about, rabbit?"

"Your perfect moments," I say.

"Oh?" One brow arches.

"I'd like to add another one."

He grins, his eyes heating. "What does this one entail?"

I peep at him through my lashes, smiling shyly. I don't answer him though, not right away, at least. Instead, I lean forward and kiss his cheek and then his jaw. His throat and then his chest. I wiggle on his lap until his erection is right where I want it.

"Little one," he growls, his hands like vises around my waist.

I bite my lip to keep from laughing.

"Hmm?"

"Tell me what this moment entails," he orders me, all hot and bossy and completely perfect.

"Oh, nothing major," I tease, rolling my hips until his erection grinds against my clit. I fall forward against his chest, putting my mouth right up against his ear. "Just me asking you to marry me before you make love to me in the bathtub."
