I scowled. “I can’t tell if I should be flattered or concerned. I feel like a fuckin’ pawn in a chess game, and I don’t like it.”

He rubbed himself against me like a cat in heat and bit my chin. “I’m not responsible for this.”

I shivered when he licked a path along my jawline. “You mean you’re not directly responsible. That’s different.”

“Does it really matter? You’re here now. And I want to show you how fucking happy that makes me,” he purred, palming my traitorous cock through my jeans as he nibbled my bottom lip. “I want to show you how—”

I grabbed his face in my hands and crashed my mouth over his, twirling my tongue around his as he unzipped my jacket and yanked at my T-shirt. My buckle was undone and my jeans were over my ass so fast my head was spinning. Then his hand was on my dick, jacking me in a sure, steady grip.

“That’s it. Show me how happy you are.”

Seb chuckled, low and sexy. “I’d love to. Do you want me to suck you, jerk you off, or…shall I fuck you?”

I snort-laughed. “Not gonna happen. Suck.”

Seb whimpered in response. An honest to God, desperate-sounding whimper that made me dizzy with desire. My cock swelled in his palm and precum practically dripped from my slit. I couldn’t think straight. This man had the craziest effect on me. I’d never wanted anyone the way I wanted him. And knowing he was just as desperate took this to a whole new level.

My legs felt too weak to support my weight. I leaned heavily against the wall and watched his hand move up and down, up and down. His touch was perfect. Not too hard, not too gentle. He used his wrist, smearing precum as he stroked me and played me like a fiddle. I tried to remember that I was angry, but my bones were too tired for anger to stick, and my dick was very happy.

But I should do something for him too. I tilted my head, deepening the kiss as I clumsily fumbled with his belt. Seb smacked my hand away.

“No, this is for you. I want you to come for me. I want to taste you. I want—”

“Fuck, I’m gonna come,” I warned.

Seb dropped to his knees and swallowed me whole, sucking the life out of me till I was limp and breathless and barely able to move.

He stood after a minute or so and pushed his tongue between my lips. I moaned aloud, too far gone to care that I sounded downright desperate.

Seb raked his teeth over my chin, then pulled away. “Welcome to London.”

“I always loved this place,” I panted, running my tongue over my swollen bottom lip. “Mm, I need a shower.”

He chuckled softly and pointed toward the adjoining bath. “Go on. I have to make a call. I’ll order room service for you too.”

“Uh…thanks.”

I went to the bathroom, showered, brushed my teeth, and padded out in time to hear the tail end of a hushed conversation.

“…reschedule for tomorrow. No, I’m not committing to that. I’m not here to see Pierce. If it works, great. If not, too bad. Yeah, yeah. Okay. Thanks.” Seb slipped his cell into his pocket and smiled when I entered the room. “I ordered soup and a sandwich. How are you feeling?”

“I’m a little hungry, tired, and…did I mention that I’m pissed?” I grumbled.

“You did.” Seb moved to the bed and pulled the duvet aside. “Hop in. You need a nap, but you should keep it short, or you’ll be very sorry when you’re wide awake at midnight.”

I flopped onto the bed, instantly sinking into a fluffy, warm cloud. “I know how it works. I just need rest and…to yell at you.”

“I’m innocent,” he repeated, perching on the edge of the mattress.

“Bullshit. I’m on to you, Rourke. I have you all figured out.”

“Do you?”

“Sort of. No,” I admitted with a yawn. “But I’m going to.”

“Well, good luck on that.” He kissed my forehead. “Now rest.”

I was out for the night.

The swoosh of curtains and muffled voices woke me the following morning. I sat up, slowly blinking to consciousness as Seb instructed room service to set the table.

“Good morning, sir,” a cheery young woman greeted me. “Can I pour yer coffee?”

“Thank you. I can take it from here,” Seb replied.

“Let us know if you’ll be needing anything more.”

He assured her he would do so and waited for the door to click shut behind her before turning to me. “Coffee or tea?”

“That’s not a real question. Coffee, please,” I grumbled, stretching my arms as I got out of bed.

“You got it.”

I stumbled to the bathroom, even more aware of the unrelenting opulence now that I was wide awake. The white marble walls, counters, and floors gleamed and sparkled. White Egyptian towels were stacked next to an enormous tub and a shower that could easily accommodate a small family. I studied my reflection and shook my head in wonder.
