He hurries through his press conference and then we race to the parking lot past everyone who wants something from him. Either an interview, an autograph, or a selfie—they all want a piece of my man.

It was an exciting night, but I’m so happy to be home. Our new house is mostly empty but we have a bed and that’s all we seem to need.

We head straight for it, kissing and clawing at each other’s clothes along the way. I pull his shirt off and drop it in the hallway. He suddenly stops me just as we’re about to enter the bedroom.

“What is it?” I nearly snap at him. My body is burning.

“I have to show you something first.”

I huff out a breath. “Now?”

He nods. Oh, crap. I can’t say no to those stunning eyes.

“Okay,” I say as the unbearable heat throbs between my legs. “Hurry…”

He runs back downstairs and I hear a few doors opening and closing. There’s only one thing I want to see and he doesn’t have to go get it…

What the heck is he doing down there??

He returns with his hand behind his back and a delicious smile on his face.

Ooh, maybe it’s a new sex toy he wants to try out, or some lingerie, that could be fun too…

“For you, my love.”

I gasp as he shows me the most adorable pug puppy I’ve ever seen.

The man of my dreams (shirtless no less) holding the dog of my dreams. I couldn’t be happier. Tears flood my eyes as I rush forward and grab the cute pup.

“It’s a girl,” Sebastian says in a soft voice. “You get to name her.”

“Thank you!” I say as the tears start flooding out. I hold her to my chest and am already hopelessly in love with her.

Sebastian laughs as she looks up at me and licks my chin.

“I’ll name her Shenzi,” I say as I look at her wrinkly face.

“Why Shenzi?”

“That’s the name of the female hyena from The Lion King. She should be part of the Hyena pack, don’t you think?”

He laughs. “It’s perfect.”

The three of us cuddle on the floor like a small happy family.

A happy family that will grow over the years.

Because little did I know, I was already pregnant.

Epilogue

Alina

Ten years later…

Sixteen luxury closets in a week. Damn, I’m good!

I’m on cloud nine as I leave the office on Friday afternoon and head to the school to pick up my kids. Business is booming.

Six years ago, I split from The Comedian and bought the San Antonio office from him. It’s all mine now and I’ve grown it larger than even his company ever was. I focused on the professional teams at first, designing and redoing dozens of athletes’ closets. It started with hockey, but then I added basketball and baseball too. Once the star athletes started showing off their new closets on Instagram and TikTok, my business took off like a rocket. I had to turn down orders, I was so popular.

I’ve built an amazing team and made more money than I ever thought was possible. I might have only pitched in five grand for our house, but I bought our beachfront villa in Cabo all by myself. I’m so proud of that.

Life has been a dream with Sebastian.

We have four amazing kids—two girls and two boys, and he’s still playing at the highest level even though most players his age have already retired. I swear this man is never going to slow down.

The Hyenas won their away game last night thanks to Sebastian scoring two goals. I watch every game, but my favorite part is still the press conferences after where he’s all sweaty and flushed. My man is still every bit as good-looking as he’s always been. Actually, I think he’s getting hotter with age. I’m digging some of the streaks of gray hair he’s starting to get.

“Happy weekend!” I say as my four kids come pouring into my SUV.

“Is Dad going to be home?” Sansa asks as she puts on her seatbelt.

“After dinner,” I say. They groan in disappointment. I’m disappointed too. I love getting home and seeing his face.

“How about some pizza for dinner?” I ask as I pull away from the school. They all cheer.

It’s going to be a good weekend. Sebastian is home until Monday when he has to go play in Toronto.

I’d never tell him this, but I’m kind of looking forward to when he retires so I can have him around all the time. I know how much he loves to play, but I want him all to myself. I can be a bit selfish when it comes to my man’s time.

We pull into the driveway and spill out of the SUV. “Don’t forget your bags!” I shout as the kids barrel into the house empty-handed.

Shenzi runs out of the open door and charges up to me, snorting and breathing heavily even though she’s only run about ten feet.
