She moved in and wrapped her arms around him while he still held on to the coffees.

“Uh, I love you, too, Livie. But now I’m worried the night didn’t go well.”

She sighed and released him, cupping his face with her hands. “It was perfect. Beyond perfect. There was an academy and I sold myself to it because I was a poor girl, and Papa was a rambling man so I had to take care of Nana by allowing the academy to sell my virginity to two wealthy gentlemen.”

His face split in a wide grin, and he offered her a coffee. “Well, that sounds like a full evening. Is Nana going to survive?”

They started walking down the hallway. Her room was three floors up. She took a sip of the coffee and it was perfect. A little cream. Two sugars. “Nana is doing well. Her surgery will be taken care of and all my siblings will get new shoes for the winter, and all I had to do was two hot guys.”

“Seriously, they let you make up a whole role play?” Bobby asked with a smile as they made it to the elevator and pressed the button.

She strode onto the elevator. Forced herself to because there was a big part of her that wanted to get back into that room and pretend like she hadn’t walked away. She could slide back in and they could start the morning right.

Except she didn’t have a key. Between having to knock and admit what she’d done and having Bobby waiting for her, all arrows pointed to stay the course.

It was a hot night and one she would hold close to her heart. “I didn’t make it up. Master K did.”

The elevator opened again, and she hesitated.

Bobby snorted. “They’re all in bed. I assure you. Miranda checked a couple of hours ago. She said Josh and Grim and Nicole are happily ensconced in the honeymoon suite. Your parents are in theirs. It’s across from Gigi and Miranda’s. She said they seemed to be interested in spending time together.”

So her parents had their own wild night. She walked out of the elevator. “It’s not that I’m actually ashamed. But if my mother knows I spent the night with two guys, she’ll think I’ve finally decided to settle down. How weird is that? My parents generally think if I’m with one guy, I’m fooling around because every woman should have to deal with two guys.”

“Well, your brother did prove that point. Hey, at least your parents won’t tell you that your love life is a sin and you’re going to hell,” Bobby quipped. “My parents were fine with me and Will marrying you, but I’m worried me being gay is a bridge too far.”

She stopped and turned to him. “You need to give them the chance. I know over the years they haven’t been super supportive, but they adjusted. They didn’t want you to leave Colorado, didn’t understand why you needed so much school. They didn’t understand your jobs, but they went to graduation. They celebrated you. Maybe not the way you wanted, but the way they could give. So tell them. Give them a chance to prove you wrong.”

“And if they don’t?”

“Well, my momma will be perfectly happy to take you in. That woman loves to bring in strays. Ask Grim.” She used the key card to get into her room.

And was immediately faced with Gigi Dawson and Miranda McNamara-O’Malley, who was still in a pair of pajama bottoms and a tank top with bunny slippers on her feet.

And they already had mimosas. They held up champagne glasses.

“Welcome back, you slutty thing,” Gigi said with a grin. She was dressed in leggings and a T-shirt and sneakers. She had already been out for a run. Gigi was a trauma nurse, and she was practically perfect.

For a few moments Olivia had been perfect for two guys.

Gigi’s expression fell. “Unless it was terrible. I’m so sorry. Was it terrible?”

“I think it was the opposite,” Miranda commented.

Olivia had to take a deep breath. “It was good. Excellent, really. But it was pretty intense. They’re tops.”

Gigi nodded. “Oh, yeah. I might have asked a couple of questions.”

“I swear she’s spent too much time with her cousin,” Miranda explained.

Gigi had many cousins. She was from a big family so they were numerous, but Olivia knew exactly which one they were talking about now. “Harlow? I do not need a private investigator to look into two guys I won’t see again.”

Harlow Dawson was a badass PI. She had used Harlow’s services many times. This would not be one of them.

“But,” Gigi began, and she had that expression that told Olivia she had excellent gossip. Normally that was a good thing. It wasn’t this morning.

“I want to hold on to the perfection of last night,” Olivia explained. “I can’t do that if I know who they are. Let me keep them as Master K and Master G. Maybe someday I’ll want to know, but not today.”
