Keane brought his hand down again, loving how she responded.

“Bobby’s not a switch. I don’t think he’s explored enough to know what he is, but Will is definitely a top. It was weird when he kissed me because it was Bobby I loved. Will and I got along fine, but there wasn’t a real spark between us. Until then, and I’m fairly certain I would have felt the spark from any dominant partner. But it was confusing to kiss the boy I thought I loved and feel nothing and get all hot and bothered by the one I knew I didn’t.”

Another set of smacks and her cheeks were getting a nice rosy sheen to them. “You can be attracted to someone and not love them.”

She smiled, wiggling her ass a bit which let him know not to stop. “I think there’s a whole trope about that. Enemies to lovers. I love to read it, but I have seen too many enemies try to come on to me for the wrong reasons that I don’t want it in real life. I like friends to lovers more.”

Another smack, and she was starting to relax. She needed this. It wasn’t merely about sex. Her body took this kind of pain and turned it into something that relaxed her, allowed her to let go.

“You knew Bobby was gay when he kissed you?” He wanted all the clarifications. He needed to know if she was still in love with a man she couldn’t have. A man who might love her in one way but couldn’t give her what she needed.

“He never lied. I lied to myself.”

This was where the discipline came in. Being a Dom was being part therapist. A hard smack sounded through the air. “You were fourteen. It was puppy love, and that is a sweet kind of love.” Another smack. “You were young. You loved him. He had a twin who fit into the lifestyle you were born into. You understood that kind of relationship, so of course you wanted it. You did not lie to yourself. You were too young to understand.”

He saw the tears in her eyes, but he didn’t think they were from physical pain. She needed to hear the truth because sometimes it was hard for the heart to understand. A woman like Olivia would take the responsibility on herself. She was the type of woman who took more responsibility than necessary because she was in control all the time.

So when her girlhood dreams imploded, she wrongly blamed herself.

“I’m fine with it. I have been for a long time,” she gasped between spanks.

“You’re fine with him. You’re not fine with yourself,” Garrett said quietly. “You were fourteen. When did you date that asshole Jason? That guy who was the absolute opposite of your kind, intelligent dream boy.”

Garrett was no dummy. This was exactly where he wanted to go.

Olivia stopped. “You think I…oh, I did. I did do that. And then I dated Scott because he fit into my life. I’ve never dated just because I fit with someone.”

“Until one night when you picked two guys because they looked good to you,” Garrett concluded.

“I always thought…” She stopped.

He could finish it for her. “You thought your instincts are all wrong and that anyone you want is going to end up being bad for you. But that’s not true. No one has great instincts when it comes to our partners. Relationships form for different reasons. Some fall apart. Some stick together because everyone works hard to make sure they grow together instead of apart.”

“Is that what happened with you and Garrett?”

Such an innocent-sounding question. And so loaded, but he promised he would answer.

She needed something to help her get through her vulnerability. So did he. “Garrett, could you get the plug?”

He slapped his hands together. “Thought you’d never ask.”

“Plug?” Olivia squeaked out the question.

He knelt down so she could see him. “Oh, has my poor princess never taken a plug?”

That plump bottom lip of hers pouted. “There’s never been a reason.”

“There is now, and we don’t have much time. Tell me you don’t want to be between us and we can move on to the sex.”

Her mouth formed a stubborn line.

Plug it was then. He stood and took the plug from Garrett. He liked the playroom. It was intimate in a way the club wasn’t. The plug was perfectly lubed up and ready to go.

It was good to have a partner.

“You want to get her ready?” Keane asked.

“Are you asking if I want to rub lube on her asshole and shove my finger up there like I’ll shove my cock in someday? Yes. Yes, I would like to do that.” Garrett moved between her perfectly placed legs and spread her cheeks.

Keane moved back to kneel beside Olivia. “As for how my relationship with Garrett happened, it was fast and slow and all the things in between. That’s what happens when you’ve known someone for half your life.”
