He grabs the sheets by my head and really starts to drill into me. Nothing coming out of my mouth makes sense. He starts to lick and kiss my tat over my entrance wound and traces the path up my neck.
I don’t think he misses one of the little butterflies that cover my skin. Reaching for his ass, I then dig my nails in. He groans in my ear, then nips it.
“You’re so fucking sexy. Look at you taking this dick. You’re mine, Oni. I’ll kill for you. No one will ever take you from me ever again.”
“I’m here. I’m not leaving. Oh God, Rico. I’m coming.”
“Come, I feel that shit. Fuck yes, keep rocking just like this.
“Good girl. I love that shit. This pussy is insane.
“You’re so wet. Happy birthday, baby. Come all you want.”
I throw my head back on a silent scream as he rolls his body into mine. I start coming and I don’t think I stop.
Rico keeps bringing my body more pleasure than I can stand. This has to be the best birthday gift ever. I’m finally home.
CHAPTER 29
You’ve Changed
Rico
Between my uncle and Salvator Romano, my phone has been blowing up all morning. I’m not in the mood to talk to either of them, so I’ve been ignoring their calls. The woman in my arms is the only thing I’m worried about.
“What?” she giggles as I look down at her while rubbing my thumb against her hip.
“I’m just thinking about how much you’ve changed, but you’re still the same.”
“You’ve changed too. You’re handsome with a beard. You look more dangerous,” she says.
“Dangerous,” I snort. “I’ve heard about you. Italy has to be happy you’re gone,” I tease.
“Whatever. I get shit done.” She shrugs.
“I still don’t know how I feel about that.”
“Why? What’s the problem?”
“You were innocent before you met me. Now look at your life. Uncle Emilio always wanted sons. You’ve become the other one.”
I can see it in her eyes. Uncle Emilio has done with her what he has always done with me. I didn’t comply, so he made another me.
“Innocent?” She scoffs. “I was a car thief when you met me. I stole your car. There was nothing innocent about me back then.”
“You know what I mean.” I reach to run my fingers through her bangs and push them out of her face. “I feel like I took your life away.”
“I have a better one now. Uncle Emilio and your father are good to me.”
“What about your mom? Does she know about all this?”
“She knows I went away to school and that I work for an art gallery.”
I jerk my head back. “That’s how you’re doing it? He’s letting you run the art operation. That’s how you’re outearning me.”
She bursts into laughter. “Oh, you hate that, don’t you? Yes, I run the art operation among other things.
“I’ve been killing it in the last seven months. I never thought of how mad that had to be making you. Poor baby, are you okay?” She purrs as she leans up to take my lips.
I take over the kiss quickly. She moans and wraps her arms around my neck. I tug her naked body into mine and devour her.
“We should get out of bed and find something to eat,” I say as I break the kiss.
She chuckles. “You’re not going to admit it.”
“Yes, that shit was pissing me off.” I shrug. “Now that I know it was you, I’m proud as fuck of you. It’s not what I wanted for you, but I’m proud of you, baby.”
“You’re going to be Don. Your donna should be able to hold it down when you need her to. Emilio isn’t as bad as you think he is.”
“Don’t,” I bite out.
“You know we can’t avoid the elephant in the room forever.”
“Oni,” I drag out in warning.
“Rico,” she says back.
“I thought you were dead. Not on vacation. Not at school.
“Not away training to be my other half. He told me you were dead. Do you have any idea what kind of pain I was in?
“I sat in a jail cell for a year because of him. I spent three years thinking I got the love of my life killed.”
I begin to roar and have to pause to calm down. She’s looking back at me with tears in her eyes. This is why I didn’t want to go there.
I just got her back. I don’t want to fight with her. I want to learn all the things that have changed with her and who she is now.
“None of that was his fault. Everything, and I mean everything, was Mason Sullivan’s fault.”
I blink a few times. I had no idea she knew about Mason’s involvement. I had made the connection, but I didn’t know how much she knew.
“I always wanted to know what the deal was with you two.”
