He didn’t stop, though, like a man possessed. He kept going, working her up again, and again, stringing her out on pure bliss. On him.

He had earned his reputation; that was clear. Holy hell, the man was a god, and she did not at all mind telling him so.

Screaming it at him, actually. It was all she was capable of.

After the last climax, while she breathed heavily, with jelly for limbs, he crawled over her. His weight pushed her into the soft mattress. His kisses took on a different feel. A softer feel.

“Now we do what I’ve been craving, Natasha,” he whispered, rubbing his tip along her wetness before easing in slowly. Reverently. “I have longed for this.” He stroked within her, so deeply. Sweetly. “I have dreamt of it. Wished for it. Manifested it.” She felt his lips curl against hers. “Craved it.”

His kiss turned deep to match his thrusts.

“None of those could hold a candle to actually feeling you. You feel so fucking good.”

He threaded his fingers into hers and lifted her hands above their heads. He moved faster, kissed harder, maintained contact. Her body wound up again; she savored the feeling of him inside her, his hands holding hers, his kiss rooting her to the moment.

“Come with me, Natasha,” he commanded, and she blasted apart for him, crying out his name and shaking against him. He shuddered, groaning long and low.

In the aftermath, he didn’t roll off her or even shift his weight. He continued to kiss her, his body staying in hers. He released her hands so she could slide them around his back, and he put his around her.

“And now we take on Jessie and Austin for the longest session.” His smile was devious and so incredibly handsome. His soft eyes delved into hers, expressing the feeling behind his actions. He’d given her what she’d needed and taken what he had, but it wasn’t just physical. She could read that sentiment plainly.

She didn’t get a chance to think more about it before he was moving again.

“One more like this.” He leaned back down to her. “Then maybe we’ll get gymnastics involved, hmm? How flexible are you, little angel?”

Turned out she was quite flexible, and had no idea how many positions there actually were until he tried to do every single one of them, each of them yielding a toe-curling climax.

She’d made a huge mistake coming here tonight. She’d always been very good at walking away. At not getting attached.

She worried that this time, she might not be very good at all.

Jessie

I knew there were people in my room. I knew there were. I could feel them.

Did I open my eyes to address them? No, I did not.

I was tired of answering questions and making decisions. Tired of endless days and not enough sleep. Tired of preparing for a gathering of multi-magical species while mages hung around the outskirts of this territory, trying to find an easy way in.

One month to go. Almost there.

“Jess,” Austin said, lying on his stomach beside me with his face in the pillow. “Make them go away.”

He was tired as well. Everyone was. We hadn’t needed this crap with the mages.

Fred had tracked that mage’s cell phone. It wasn’t a burner, but it wasn’t personal either. It was a work phone, it seemed, which might’ve been better. It was handed to different people, going different places, and leaving Fred a trail the whole time.

There were encrypted aspects to it that Fred was working on cracking without alerting their tech people that they had a mole. It was the sort of challenge she thrived on. We’d barely seen her since the night in the bar.

But while she was away working on that, we had others lurking. Ghosts. Shadows. They came in the territory at different places, left different ways, and spooked easily. Sebastian said that probably meant they were more advanced mages, told not to get caught. Their boss was being cautious. They probably worried Sebastian would get through the mental barricade protecting their secrets.

They spooked easily, though, which meant they hadn’t gotten very far. Austin was nothing if not thorough. He’d kept them circling the perimeter before being chased off, and Aurora’s crew had found a great many instances of people sneaking close to watch from outside the boundary. They’d put up trail cams.

So had Aurora.

They were watching, and we were letting them. Because so were we.

“Jess,” Austin said again, not moving.

I laughed softly, peeling my eyes open.

Patty, Aunt Florence, Dave, Edgar, and Nessa.

“You too, Nessa?” I asked with a whine.

She smiled and gave an exaggerated shrug. “I was told it couldn’t wait, and I had to be here with the wake-up party.”

Mr. Tom strolled in with a cup of coffee. “Yes, the wake-up party.” He pursed his lips as he set the steaming mug on my bedside table. “I suggested to Tristan that they wait in the sitting room like professional adults. But here we are, stuffed into your room like some sort of orgy waiting to happen.”
