Licking her lips at the thought of Deacon or Thayer coming to her, she pushed herself up on her elbows just as the door opened. The dark figure that stood in the doorway was silhouetted by the light behind him.

He didn’t speak as he walked in and shut the door behind him. Her eyes adjusted once more to the darkness, and adrenalin pounded through her veins when she saw Thayer standing before her.

The moonlight streaming through the window cast a silvery glow across his body. His chest rose and fell steadily, not like the frantic rhythm of hers.

Could he see the want in her eyes? Even in the darkness she could feel their combined heat and arousal fill the room. She had been wet before, just thinking about them, but having Thayer stand in front of her sent goose-bumps over her skin and had a gush of moisture leaving her.

He moved closer until he stood at the edge of the bed. This was it. She could either send him away or welcome him into her bed. But did he know she had been with Deacon?

“I slept with Deacon.” The words blurted out of her mouth, and she was thankful for the covering of darkness to hide the heat that stole her cheeks.

“I know.” His low response didn’t hold the disgust she thought she’d hear. “Do you want me, Jessa?”

She swallowed roughly and nodded. “Yes.” She pulled the covers away from her and watched with bated breath as he lifted his arms behind him and gripped his shirt, pulling it over his head from behind.

The sight was sexy as hell.

“You’re okay with that. With this?” Obviously if he was still here, but she wanted to hear him say it. She had never done anything like this.

Paul had been the first and only man she had been with, but now here she found herself sleeping with brothers.

He didn’t respond, but the fiery look in his eyes told her he wasn’t against the idea. He slipped in beside her, his hard, big body emitting enough heat that she wouldn’t even need the blankets anymore.

His lips descended on hers, and his tongue slipped against the seam of her mouth. She opened for him, greedy for his flavor coating her tongue.

“I’m okay with everything, Jessa.” His said against her lips. His hands gripped her shoulders, bringing her closer to him, molding her breasts to his chest.

The temperature in the room increased until she found herself sweating, but it was the good kind. It had her picturing them naked, their bodies moving together, their mouths fused.

“Deacon’s okay with everything.” How had he known that was her next question?

“You can read minds now?” She felt his smile against her mouth, but he didn’t answer her. They kissed for so long she had to move her legs together to ease the ache that settled between them.

She wanted him like she needed her next breath of air. Before she could plead with him for more, his fingers on her shoulders tightened, and he pushed her away.

Confusion settled within her, but only for a moment. With her back to his chest, he brushed her hair off her shoulders and kissed the exposed skin. Her eyes fluttered closed at the sensations coursing through her.

This wasn’t like being with Deacon, not at all. She admitted that being taken in a dirty garage with the worktable banging against the wall had been intense and hot, but she also loved this softer side, the one Thayer showed her.

His hand moved to her front and spanned the width of her belly. “Just so you know, Deacon and I don’t share women. This is our first time doing this, too.”

The sincerity in his words touched her deep. She nodded and then smiled. She only wore a T-shirt, one of the ones she had found in the dresser. They were so long and big it covered her completely.

His lips continued to caress the tender, sensitive back of her neck, but she wanted more, needed more.

“Thayer.”

“It’s all right, sweetheart.” He ran his tongue around her pulse point. “I’m going to take good care of you. This is going to be nice and slow.”

She liked nice and slow. His fingers slid down her belly and stopped at her thigh, right where the edge of her shirt met her bare flesh.

Inching the material up ever-so-slowly, she gasped as the pads of his fingers grazed her inner thigh. The touch was soft, but she felt it like it left fire along her skin. Her shirt rode up her body until it bunched at her throat.

Then he slipped it off of her. She was so very thankful for the darkness, thankful that he wouldn’t be able to see her fading bruises. They had been on her belly and back, the smaller ones all but gone, but the bigger ones still visible against her pale flesh.
