A low growl emanates from each of us. Fuck, we need to maintain control. I give them a look and then we slink in the back way, easily opening the door to the main floor.

The sound of the television plays as we move closer to his apartment door. Enrico already has the key that Luca had made when they came spying earlier in the day. Skills, the man has them in spades, and he easily made a copy for us.

“Who the fuck are you?” he shouts, jumping out of his chair.

I don’t say a word because on his fucking center monitor screen is May walking into her bedroom in just a towel, but it’s not just her because there are six screens full of different women, mostly the three women in the upstairs apartment and several others I’m not familiar with.

Anger shoots through me as I stare at my woman on this scum’s property. She has been violated, and I can’t handle it. Seeing his face sends me into a spiraling rage.

“Your just deserts.” My fist lands as I get the last word out. He falls back, catching the edge of the chair, and lands on the floor, sending the chair clattering against a set of boxes. They fall open, and out cascades pictures.

“Shit,” he hisses, going for them, but I’m on him, unable to see anything other than the violence of my hatred for this man. I let loose, pounding my knuckles into his skull, driving my ire into him with a fury I’ve never known.

“We need to question him.” I’m getting sick of Alessio’s voice at the moment.

“We don’t need shit from this fuck. Everything we need is around us. He’s a piece of shit, a twisted fuck with a death wish. Like you don’t see June here, Alessio. Tell me again that I need to hold it together and I’ll fucking pop you one.”

“Understood.” He throws his hands up in mock surrender while I continue my assault, kicking the dog shit out of this worthless lifeform.

“Please stop. I want to live.” I stomp on his ankle, hearing it snap loudly and causing him to let out a scream like a little bitch. With every plea for his life, I grow angrier.

I bend down and get in his face. “Tough. You stared at my woman, touched her with your filthy hands, dared to use her for your own sick fantasies. You don’t deserve anything less than death.”

I finish him off with a kick to the balls and then a quick kill shot to his head. The man is done. “Go around and get everything we can with June and May’s image on it, as well as their roommate’s. I don’t want them tied to any of this shit. Understood?”

“Of course.” They all move around the room, going through all the documents while our cleanup crew waits for my call.

We’re almost done when out of nowhere Enrico turns on the dead body and lets out some rage. “Prick.”

“He had it coming,” Alessio mutters when I stare at Enrico like he’s lost his fucking mind. It wasn’t like I hadn’t fucking gone apeshit on this motherfucker moments earlier, and rightfully so, but why had Enrico lost his shit too? Now isn’t the time to have this discussion, though. I have other matters I care to assess.

“Let’s get the guys in to clean this up. I have another matter to deal with tonight. Alessio, you go home and tend to your woman. Enrico, you are coming with me on this one.”

We leave the apartment quickly and quietly. Enrico and I head out toward the diner as I want to spy on my queen again. I’m almost there when I finally power up my phone. We kept them off for obvious reasons, so when it’s on I get a message from Luca, informing me that the little fucking punk is at the diner talking to my woman again.

I let it slide the other day because she sent him on his way, but then I had him investigated and learned that they’d dated. The fucker is her ex, and he has the nerve to be around my woman, trying to get her back. That isn’t happening.

I’m on my way.

As soon as we arrive, I open the diner door to find her eyes on me, and she lets out that audible gasp that I love so damn much. I glare at the fucker, who’s watching her like a hawk. She walks up to me and smiles with relief.

“Good evening, amore. You made it.” She leans in and whispers, “Please play along.”

I lean in and press my lips to hers without waiting for her to explain. “I’ll get rid of him.”

“This is your boyfriend?” the prick who is now standing says.

“Yes.”

“He’s not worth your time.” I know this piece of shit didn’t just insult me, especially because I know more about him than he thinks I do.
