“Oh my god, oh my god,” I gasp, almost unable to breathe. “And?”
“And so Cameron wanted to know if your biological father’s bad genes were passed down in any way to his daughters. Don’t get me wrong because Cameron’s a sick fuck to even think that. But people still think that genes matter. Nature versus nurture, and all that BS.”
I stare at them.
“So he told you to stalk me.”
Colt and Cason immediately shake their heads.
“Not stalk. Cameron called and said that a young woman recently signed up with Ranch Sourcing, looking for work as a cattle hand. So we hired you, and he asked us to suss you out.”
“For what thought? Addiction? Mental health problems? Violence?” I whisper hoarsely, my eyes bulging out of my head.
The twins don’t even bother to deny it.
“All of the above. Any of the above. And we were supposed to report our findings to Cameron. But sweetheart, we fell in love with you along the way, and never got back to that motherfucker. He’s a dipshit who can solve his own problems. He doesn’t need us to do his dirty work for him.”
I feel somewhat relieved because it’s clear the twins respect my privacy and want me to feel secure.
“So you didn’t tell your friend anything about me,” I state in a low tone.
“No, after we met you in person, we decided to cut off communication with Cameron. Except he let one thing drop,” Colt says.
“What?” I demand.
Colt shrugs.
“The woman he’s fucking actually started out as his babysitter. She’s a pretty young thing who looks just like you, so she’s a beauty with big tits and a sweet pussy, for sure. I have no idea how she went from babysitter to warming his bed, but there you go. She’s young and innocent, and again, goes by the name Rainey. Maybe you guys could meet up sometime.”
I sit up straight.
“I definitely want to meet my identical twin sister,” I say in an outraged voice. “This is so crazy! Oh my god.”
“I know, families are crazy, aren’t they?” Cason drawls with a smile twitching at the corner of his lips. “It seems the Madewells aren’t the only psychos out there.”
“Everyone’s a psycho,” I say through gritted teeth. “Especially your friend Cameron.”
“Agreed,” Colt replies immediately. “He’s insane, but you know how billionaires are. They’re ruthless assholes who take whatever they want. Maybe we need to save Rainey from this motherfucker.”
I shoot the twins a wry look.
“Do you really think she needs saving?”
Colt and Cason grin before gathering me into their arms for a deep kiss.
“Yes,” Colt rasps hungrily, already nuzzling a big breast. “Absolutely.”
“After all, we saw you, and then took what we wanted,” Cason adds, his big hand warm on my thigh as it creeps upward. “And look what it got us: a gorgeous girlfriend, and babies on the way too.”
I giggle then because our family is truly filled with twins. I’m dating twin cowboys, expecting their twin babies, only to find out that I, too, am an identical twin. How did that happen? But as the twins’ kisses grow more insistent, I smile because this is an incredible discovery. I’m still pissed that Cason and Colt were initially asked by their friend to check me out, but at the same time, now I have an identical sister! What were the chances?
Plus, was Rainey really Cameron Hart’s babysitter before he seduced the innocent young girl? Wow, wouldn’t that make for a taboo twist! But I put it out of my mind because I’m the lucky girl who gets to be with Colt and Cason Madewell. I’ve been fortunate in life, and smile before succumbing to the caresses of my virile double cowboys.
